Chapter 21: Powerful
"That's what he said." Kaya's face was complicated, she wanted so badly to be free but knew that if Scitus interfered, no one would survive and with Scitu’s divine sight they would not be able to sneak up nor plan anything to rescue her.
"how did he?" One warrior asks while another responds, "Divine sight, that must be his godly ability."
"shut up, all of you" The leader of the group stepped forward to look at her dear friend's face. "we'll kill that god and free you, I promise."
"Thank you for your concern, but he is cunning, incredibly so. He managed to destroy the clan of goblins that captured us and even made them his allies. Hell, even the ogre is on his side now. But even without that, he…" she held her tongue; if she revealed his monstrous abilities it would certainly frighten her allies.
"Their king?" the young leader asked, Kaya, shakes her head. "No, the true king was someone else, or at least that is what I've been told." The woman takes a step back, looking at her old friend. she was growing suspicious. Kaya appeared less disheveled than she did before, she even looked properly fed. "I know its odd Selene, that I look completely fine, There is a woman in the camp who is able to speak our language and the God himself seemed to be lying of being unable to speak it." In realityScitus learned the language through Hera, Though it was closer to adapting several languages into one rather than learning a new one.
"So you saying he treats you well." Kaya eyes Selene, she was slightly irritated.
"If you don't trust me then leave already, I didn't ask for your help anyways." Kaya's face burns red as she turns to march off back to the fort. Her allies couldn't possibly rescue her and she didn't want them to hurt themselves for her.
"Wait!! Kaya, I'm sorry, it's just I really can't believe they've done nothing to you." Kaya looks at the soft grass beneath her, she didn't want to say it, but the thought had been boiling inside her for the past few weeks. She didn't want to say, "the goblins here aren't bad." They had given her food and even the strange goblin beside her seemed to always be trying to please her. More than just that, she couldn't ignore the brothers and sisters who played with sticks and wrestled with one another until their mother had to break them up because the fight had become too serious. She had never seen goblins act so human.
“Yeah, I know, it seems we were wrong about goblins.” With that, she fades into the night, leaving Selene and her troop confused on what to do next.

The next morning the troop was shaken awake to find themselves surrounded by goblins. 6 of these were the newly formed Spartan knights.
“Hello.” Scitus walks into the view. “I also have archers stationed nearby, though the trees here might protect you from most of the arrows.” Selene, who had already unsheathed her sword, slowly put it back in her hilt.
"What do you want?" Selene asked with a clear strain being emphasized in her tone. "For you to leave us alone." Selene starts to laugh, "Not until!!" he interrupts her. "Not until you get your friend back. " Arisa comes out from behind a tree with a Kaya, whose hands are tied behind her back by hemp. Selene looks at her friend and then back to Scitus.
"I never wanted to take her hostage, I just couldn't have you killing my subjects." Arisa sadly walks up to the group of humans and pushes Kaya into them. A soldier clad in black took hold of her so that she wouldn't fall.
"Do you think I'll" Scitus rolls his eyes. "Prisoner, kneel." Kaya only stares back in him with a fiery flame. "See, I freed her already.", Selene almost didn't believe it but Kaya not kneeling was proof enough that she wasn't a prisoner anymore. "very well." Selene and her troop pick up kaya and slowly walk out of the encirclement. The goblins were all holding bladed stones and prepared for an attack.
"I know you'll try to attack us one day, but I assure you" Robin appears from above a tree and drops to the ground below, "by that time, we will have become many times stronger than we are right now." The knights didn't notice him at all, fear ran down their spine, their numbers weren't inferior but the positions the goblins were in gave them an enormous advantage and they were still tired from their journey, they had very little time to rest and even their injuries from they wyverns were only just beginning to heal.
With that, the morning ended, and the afternoon began. Arisa, although distraught that she could no longer see Kaya, she was happy that Kaya was now with people she wasn't afraid of. Her connection with Kaya was the strongest during her time with them, despite that, Arisa was only one of two that felt something by her departure, the other goblin being teal, who unknowingly grew to like her during her time at the fort. He would often watch over Arisa and in turn watched over Kaya.
"Alright, its time for phase 2" Scitus announced to the goblin tribe. "Hunting and gathering won't keep a colony afloat, now we need to start farming."

The following days would be spent cutting down large areas of forest to make way for the farms, the Goblins and the ogres worked away at the Trees at an incredible pace. The fastest way to clear a forest was, in fact, burning the forest down, that was how it use to be done, to save time. Scitus, however, didn't want to waste any resources and burning a forest was always unpredictable in the way it spread, if he was unlucky, the fire could even burn down the colony. Scitus would never take the risk, he was a man who preferred to be sure of the outcome.
"Today is the seventh day of working on the trees, we've made good time and will soon be able to start the farm", Scitus thought to himself when suddenly the sound of a goblin's screams intruded on his thoughts. His divine sight spotted a goblin on the grass floor clutching his arm in pain.
Before scitus could even think of helping him, Seresa, who was nearby studying mathematics, stopped him in his tracks. Seresa quickly noticed the questioning look on his face as she desperately searched for the right words
"Bees. I think?" She announces as she tightly holds onto Scitus. Scitus removed her hand and moved her aside to help the injured goblin who was some distance away.
He ran at an astounding speed and quickly found the goblin as hundreds of bees surrounded the goblin, the bees were like vultures waiting for their prey to die.
His heart pulsed faster as his eyes spotted them. It was his first time seeing bees in person, the buzzing drained Scitus of his complexion. "they are a bit larger than they should be." He thought to himself as thumb-sized Bees encroached closer towards the goblin.
Scitus concentrated on his targets and shouted "spitfire!!!" suddenly several little red balls of fire appeared at his fingertips and quickly flew towards their target. Before the Bees could react, they were incinerated into ash. The surviving bees fled to their home only to find it gone and turned to ash. From the single attack, several trees were turned to swiss cheese with fist-sized holes everywhere the eye could see. Scitus quickly dispatched the remaining bees with a more composed and controlled attack.
Shortly after the goblin was blanketed by the familiar black aura and happily welcomed it to relive his pain.
Scitus stood in his place for fear of collapsing if he took a single step. He couldn't allow himself to show weakness. Behind him, he could see Thoth, Hera, Robin and Seresa running towards him. Scitus steeled himself and turned around to face them.
After regaining some of his composure and with some of his closest allies at his side, Scitus finally noticed the charred Beehive. The size was enough for Scitus to take several steps back, The hive was the size of an entire goblin, which was about 3 feet in height.
"let's return back to base" Scitus calmly said before turning his back on the scene. Thoth and Hera looked at the destruction and couldn't quite believe that their father held such potent power. If he wasn't careful, he could very likely destroy the kingdom.
………………………………………..
Somewhere, close by was a woman. She could never be mistaken for a human for her skin glowed too brightly red. The horns that adorned her head made her more similar to a demon than a human and her red skin made her more similar to a monster than one of the mortal species. Despite this, she wasn't of the monster class, she was of the mortal class. She was the Planet-touched Tiefling. Though she knew she was more well known as the red which.
Tieflings, unlike their relatives, the Aasimars, were regarded as monsters and not for an entirely unjust reason. Tieflings were beings that were half mortal, half demon while Aasimars were half mortal, half angel. Though to her it made no difference, the people of the mortal realms called her a monster and she never tried to refute them, it was easier than trying to convince the world of the truth.
It took her many long years to reach her goals, years of searching and searching but she had finally discovered the location of the third book of gods. In that book, held the truth of Gods, a truth she wished to know to achieve her greatest desire.

As a strange grotesque monster appeared and sniffed at her. "a vampire? No, a vampires shadow." The Wolf Saga, Wolf that Devours Empires
The Empire of Human is about to enter a turbulent era. A World Power has fallen. But mere hours after dying, he is reborn as a half-human, half-elf boy named Wolf. The story follows this odd boy as he grows up, his relationship with his father and those around him, his lack of common sense from being raised in the wilderness, and his desire for revenge. Witness Wolf's journey as he aspires to climb to the peak of the world to unravel its mysteries, and as he tries to figure out why it’s wrong to decapitate a street thug when the man tries to mug you. “I mean, the man literally said ‘Money or life,’ so what’s the big deal?” Releases Mon/Wen/Fri. (GMT-ish) Trigger warning. The Wolf Saga may not be suited for you if any of the following disturbs you: - The story will have fighting and killing. The gore will not be explicit, but there will be descriptions such as "head burst like a melon", "instantly turned to cinders", "blood splashed/fountained" etc. Most of the violence will be performed by the protagonist, some of it before he reaches his teens. If such scenes bother you, you should probably give Wolf a pass. - The story will have sexual content. It's there for a reason. Once again, these scenes will not be explicit. Genitals will be mentioned sometimes, but never described in detail. Nude bodies will be described in passing, without too many specific details. If you're afraid of nipples, you should probably give Wolf a pass. - The story will have a decent amount of cursing. If you haven't given up by now, this is unlikely to bother you. Still, I believe I should forewarn you that a number of curse words will be making appearance from time to time. - The story will have no small amount of loss for the main character. If you enjoy novels in which everything is fine, the protagonist makes it at the last moment and saves the day... This is not such a story. Life happens. As a reader, I'm annoyed with heroes making it in the nick of time, so for the sake of fairness I used dice on a number of occasions, making do with the result. Sometimes it was anticlimactic, sometimes it was tragic and it led to the story you see before you. Dedication: This story is written for Tired Mom and Wolf, whose arrival the rest of the pack is eagerly awaiting. Thanks: I would like to thank Tired Mom for her proofreading and encouragement over the years. I would like to thank you, Dear Reader, for taking the time to read this big pile of words.
