《Bugs》Book 2 Chapter 8

Outside of the warriors guild, a week has already passed and the small petite bug girl was there among many recruits yet there was a massive difference between her and others, besides the strength type beast men like bears.
All the others had wooden lances and were training the thrust but Levi had her fullmetal lance plus the shield that no other child can use. Truthfully few lancers actually equip the shield so that they can achieve greater speeds but the young girl’s strength is enough to hold it and even fly. It works as a good strength stimulant. She has also already gained the Lancer Class.
Levi has also surpassed the expectation of all instructors by learning all the basics in a few days while other children were still slaving away at it.
This was obviously attributed to her still being in the child stage of her development as well as being a Queen as well makes her talent tremendous.
If translated to a monster, in a short time she would easily become a boss class monster if she trained to perfection.
This drew the attention of the head instructor who barely takes disciples. She was a Lancer and a very powerful one at that. The thing was that because of her looks she is gravely underestimated and normally smashes her enemies because of this.
She is 155 cm tall with cheery pink hair, a childish face with sharp eyes that show her experience in the field, a child like physique that looked like a 14 year old without any breast, but she has the womanly curves at the waist, and wearing a light metal armor with a shield and lance at her back, this was Mary Bloodwrath, the strongest warrior in this branch second to the guild master of the branch.
At level 234 with the advanced class Battle Maiden she has been nicknamed the Petite Tyrant for her monster-like strength and her fierce appetite.
As she looks at Levi training all the moves she nods and thinks to herself “This girl is just like me, she is fierce, proud, and most of all, a companion! I will surely take her as my disciple!” She thought.
Everyone had noticed her long ago but Levi was concentrated so she didn’t see the girl approach and when she entered Levi’s range who was naturally concentrated she considered the woman an enemy and spun around to smash the lance at her but that was stopped with one finger.
“Nice form, nice strength, good speed, still need training on your lance mastery though. You shouldn’t be more than level 30 right?” She asked.
“Who are you?” Levi asked.
“I’m Mary Bloodwrath, the second strongest person of this branch and the strongest woman here as well. I find you really interesting and want to take you as my disciple!” Mary said proud of herself.
“Why should this great one bow to someone like you!?” Levi said instantly entering her Princess mode.
Mary was completely shocked by the sudden demeanor change of the girl. “I have an advanced class for the warrior branch called Battle Maiden, it takes talent to achieve this class and you can only get it by being powerful before the age of 18!” She explained then she looked at levi.
“How old are you anyway?” She asked.
Levi was caught by surprise by the question and began to think. She put her lance stuck on the ground and began to count with her finger. “Uh i think it is a month.” She said not so sure but everyone near her suddenly froze.
“A month… you were born a month ago?” Mary asked.
Everyone had cold sweat on their foreheads.
“I think it was, but I grew big fast because daddy fed me a lot… *cough cough* this great one’s race grows fast during the first year of birth, that is why this one looks like this.” Levi said reverting back to her spoiled princess persona but Mary had seen through it.
Everyone seems to have understood, the strange bug beast man race girl did have mysteries but it’s more than well known that bugs grow fast depending on the race, since they couldn’t tell the girl’s race it had to be something strong to give her that strength with only one month of birth.
“I see, well there is even more chance of you to get this class then and even advance it beyond.” Mary said her eyes lighting up as if flames were inside. “The chance of a War Maiden appearing from you isn’t even a dream but a goal!” She said with a bright smile.
Everyone was shocked by her statement but Levi didn’t get it.
“What is Battle Maiden and War Maiden?” Levi asked.
“It’s understandable you don’t get it, you’re very young so it’s like this. A battle maiden is a female that lives for battles, she bathes in the blood of her enemies during battle and with every kill during combat our strength increases. Our main strength appears during large combat. As for War Maiden, she is the pinnacle of the Battle Maiden and her strength is at its peak during wars, with every swing of her weapon she kills dozens and makes each kill double or triple her strength and is the worst nightmare of any army. It is said that to become a War Maiden you need to become a Battle Maiden and reach level 250 before the age of 18. I am already 25 so i can’t become one. Another requirement is to be acknowledged by the God of War. A War Maiden is pretty much the War God's direct disciple and learns from him when he calls your soul to his domain.” Mary said with reverence in her eyes.
Levi was still wearing a bit of a bored expression, she didn’t really care about the war god and only wanted to get stronger for Droso.
“Now come on! We are leaving this trashy guild to train where the fun happens, IN BATTLE!” Mary said and without shame or waiting for Levi to agree she grabs her hand, kicks up the lance and drags Levi away.
“Hey you tiny woman let go of this great one!” Levi said flustered.
“I’m tiny but so are you, we are companions against the boob monsters around us! Let’s fight and win for the small one!” Mary said and lifted Levi’s metal lance.
Levi was stunned a moment before she smiled.
“Aye!” She shouted and began to fly and catch up to the fast woman that was dragging her and making the two move at equal speeds, though Mary was holding back a lot.
Everyone in the practice field just stared at the two strangely until they left, then the instructors just sigh and call everyone's attention back to training.
In a different part of the forest, Florista was sitting near a lake that had a part around it cleared with grass and a small hut.
This was the place Maggie built the first day for them to train.
The process of becoming a Druid isn’t really that simple and talent is definitely something that is needed. First you must slowly absorb the mana of the basic elements. It should be known that everything has a mana, even madness, order and time. Druids train with this directly and can be considered a very powerful class and the specialized ones are very powerful but there are branches where the druid doesn’t specialize and focuses on most of every kind of mana. Those who go after the plant or animal transformation classes are such branches.

What Florista is doing at this moment is training five of the seven basic elements, Water, Air, Earth, Fire and Light. These are the basis of the basic she needs to make what is known as a Grove.
When she heard what a grove was she couldn’t help but be completely shocked. It was more or less like this.
“One of the most important aspects of being a druid is the formation and development of what is called a grove. A grove is a collection of the basic elements within your body and it literally makes a separate world inside. At the start it will be very small no more than a few meters but later on it can probably become a large world. I’m sure that if there was a way to gather things like void or plasma or something it could eventually become a solar system but this is a medieval game and so it mostly stops at one planet. Still this planet allows us to grow and develop all our required materials or beasts. We can have more than one within our grove so having many planets isn’t hard.” Maggie explained and Florista was shown.
The reason is because it reminds her far too much of Droso’s class. She explains the class concept and the different realms.
“Oh… this part of our class originated from some faded ancient text our predecessors found. If that is true then the druid class Groves may be a derivation of Leon’s class’ dimension. There is also that portal he makes which is more convenient than a druid's summoning out the beasts since you need to use a lot of mana to cover the beast and then bring it out and then bring it back in. Something too large wouldn’t fit after being let out.” Maggie said.
We agreed to keep this a trade secret, Leon’s class has far too many mysteries but the two girls were more than ready to study his class for him because if the grove was truly a derivation of his dimension then they had much to gain from studying it. Not only that but he has the book he doesn’t read much with information of his class. If it wasn’t in his inventory Florista and Maggie might have gone to Levi and asked to enter the hive to read it.
Still it didn’t matter and could be read anytime. Flor continued to absorb the air mana after using a kind of funnel form with her own mana.
The objective is to reach 5% of affinity with the element so that she can obtain the manipulation of the element. Though she hadn’t expected it, she did have talent and had already gained the other three elements to 5%. To make the Grove she just needs the four basic elements but other ones like Light, Dark, Gravity, time, etc she can add later on.
After some time she got a message.
You have reached 5% of affinity with Air affinity. You have gained Air manipulation.
With a smile she looked at the message before stretching her arms.
She had been doing this for nearly a week already and was finally done.
“So you’re finished?” Maggie called out. In her hands was a cup of tea that she placed in front of Flor and sat down before taking one cup while Florista took the other.
“Just got the last element.” She said and took a sip of water.
“Good, let’s rest a bit, after this you need to make what are called seeds of element. Every element has it including Seed of Plant and animal, each and every substance in the world has mana or a group of mana that make it up. It’s just that the basic elements are the fundamental ones as well as the easiest to use. There are still other elements that were discovered though like blood, madness and so on and was made into a magic form by demons and some sentient races for different reasons.” Maggie explained.
“These seeds, what other use do they have?” Flor asked.
“They are great for enchanting, because they are pure mana in a solid form with an element they can greatly help make elemental enchantments or to fuel a large enchantment circle by putting the seed of the seven primary elements, Fire, Water, Air, Earth, Light, Dark and Space. The seeds would then fuel the magic formation to enchant. Normally this is done when enchanting a full set due to the high consumption. Druids are one of the few classes that can make these so we are seen rather high on the magic society pyramid, even a low leveled one.” She said with a smile telling Flor that she is becoming someone with high status from the start.
Flor nodded and relaxed a bit before she learned how to make the seeds.
Before she began Maggie gave her an explanation of how it’s done.
“In order to create the seeds, you need to cultivate each element and condense the energy into a small shape. Then, using your Nature Magic to give it form, you turn it into a seed. Be careful of how much mana you put in each one. The quality of your inner world will depend on the balance between the different mana types, and can only be slowly shifted over time if a mistake is made at the start.” She explained and Flor nodded.
Afterwards, slowly over several hours, with the use of the Nature Magic she had learned before she began all this, she gathered the gathered mana and condensed them before giving them the shape of a seed.
When she had all of them made she had to do something else. Gathering them together she merged them into one. She was able to fuse them making it no longer have one main color and instead looked like a swirl of several colors.
This was called Essence of Nature by Maggie.
“Now, put it in your mouth and dissolve the mana into your body and your body will do the rest.” She said.
“Just like that?” Flor asked, skeptical.
“Yep, the intense mana will gather and form a small planet. Also if you want to introduce other elements you need to do the same process of making a seed and dissolving it into your body to shock the grove with the element and make it adapt or else it won’t generate the element.” She said and Flor nodded.
Seeing that there was no further explanation, Flor put the seed in her mouth though it was awkward since it barely fit like a huge jawbreaker.
After closing her eyes and dissolving, there was little difference when making it besides the concentration and the types of mana having mixed.
After ten minutes the Essence of Nature was completely dissolved and absorbed into her body.
She opened her eyes and looked at Maggie confused.
“Good, you're done which in turn means your inner world is also formed. If you want to check it out just meditate.” She said.
Flor closed her eyes and meditated, a moment later she found herself floating over a 5 meter large barren rock with a thin atmosphere around it.
Leaving she looked with her eyebrows creased.
“Don’t look at me like that, the grove will grow as you cultivate the elements in your body, you just need to keep adding more elements depending on how you go. You already learned nature magic and how to isolate plant features so you should just train, make it bigger and so on. To make it less ugly I suggest adding this grass. It spreads fast. Also i would suggest cultivating plant elements since you will try for plant lord subclass. The first subclass is Plant shifter.” She said.
“Seems good, so are you one as well?” Florista asked.
“Yep, I have already reached Plant lord though. Plant Shifter you must study plants and learn their effects and isolate both the good and bad parts to make use of it. Once you study them to a great degree you will have to do as the description of plant shifter will say when you get it, you must shed your flesh and become a plant.” She said.
“Isn’t that the same as changing your race to something like a Dryad?” Florista asked.
Maggie smiled and stood up. Mana around her began to flow and her skin turned from the natural peach to a light green, her thin cloth robe began to flow and tightened around her body and moved around as it began to form a skimpy dress. Her hair turned green and a large flower hat appeared on her head. Then behind her a huge flower sprouted forming a kind of seat that she sat in. She looked like the image of poison ivy from the DC heroes.
“This is what you can eventually become, a dryad or other plant man. Also you need to study the mana signature of a Dryad to achieve this then blend your own plant knowledge to make your own breed. There are hundreds of different Dryads and each match a different plant.” Maggie said and turned back to human but the big plant remained.
“Now then I guess this is as much as i can teach you, now it’s up to you to train your own class. Oh and I did you a courtesy of getting rid of that bounty hunter that was following you.” She said, making Flor shocked.
“Bounty hunter?” Flor asked.
“Yes, he followed the tips of a bug beastman race girl appearing but I used him as fertilizer for my plants.” She said.
Florista felt a chill down her spin hearing that but Maggie just smiled.
“You will eventually get used to talking like that. When your Plant affinity in your grove gets large enough your plants will start to evolve into monsters that are loyal to you. They are your pathway to reaching Plant Lord.” She said making Florista realize what the grove's importance was. She nodded and thanked Maggie.
She gathered a bit of grass and learned how to take out and put in the things into her grove and then planted the grass and then sat down and began to cultivate Plant mana.
As the two girls were training, outside in the real world, in the hospital Droso’s eyes opened after several days he reached the hospital.
His body was sore and felt pain with each pulse and couldn’t move his body but his head could now turn.
The nurse carefully washing him noticed and quickly ran out and called doctor Martin Booth.
As the man entered the room Leon looked at him with a confused look.
“Mr. Leon Holmes. Good to see you awake.” The doctor said.
“Wh-at ha-happ-ened?” Leon asked.
“Well something happened while you were ingame that caused every ounce of your stored up energy to be consumed. Originally we had no idea what but we found out but it’s better to leave it to the young miss that brought the information to us. I can tell you that you have been in bed for a little less than two days and will have to stay in bed for more than a month.” The doctor said and took a look at the machines and computer.
“But…. then… can i enter the game?” Leon asked.
“No, Miss Debbie checked your body afterwards in the game and both are in the same state. She has taken the liberty to explain to your companions in game and so no worries.” The doctor said making Leon relax.
“Seems your body recovered nicely, now…” The doctor moved close. “... tell me when you feel pain.” He asked and carefully put his finger on Leon’s palm and slowly put pressure.
After five seconds Leon called out. The doctor did the same around his body and besides the hands and feet that were nerve sensitive areas the rest took around 10 seconds of applying pressure to feel pain.
“Good, it seems the pain you felt could be attributed to full body fatigue similar to doing god knows how much exercise to exhaustion and beyond that.” The doctor said.
“Your body is still weak, refrain from moving or you will feel quite a large amount of pain.” Dr. Booth said.
“Alright… but who… is the person you mentioned?” Leon asked.
“She is a GM that oversaw the incident at the time. She has been staying at a hotel waiting for you to wake up.” He said.
“You can call her.” Leon said, wanting to know what happened as fast as possible.
“I shall see to it in a while.” he said and did a few more tests through the machines before saying that Leon was recovering well.
After that he left and the nurse from before came and finished cleaning him with a damp towel and careful movement to keep the pain to a minimum then also left.
About an hour later the Doctor returned with a familiar girl.
“You!” Leon exclaimed.
“Hello, you sure made a big mess of our game you know!” She said with a wry smile.
“So what happened?” Leon asked.
“Well, i guess we should sit him up and start the projection.” She said to the doctor. He went over to some controls and began to move the bed until Leon was in a slightly more seated position that wouldn’t hurt him.
She then played the recording of the incident. It played out from when the spiders caught the men then Leon started talking.
"You know… i have felt a very uncontrollable rage two times since i entered this game..." he said. "The first time was part of a quest to advance my class a bit and the second time I became to stressed. Both times i took beating up some monster or animals but for some reason..." he said and turned to the dick head.
The tied up man suddenly turned ghostly pale.
Droso's eye that normally only shined a bit red when in a rage were completely different from any human eye. The white part of his eyes had turned pure black and his iris was shining a bloody red. His body released so much killing intent that half the men around him pissed themselves.
"...for some reason my anger i can barely control it you know." He finished.
His head fell a bit and slowly a grin showed up on his face and he began giggling.
"Heh...heheh....hahahahahahaha... GAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! This rage!! Leon you bastard you seriously shut down!!! Well that's better..." At the sound of the distinct different voice and complete change in personality Leon himself was covered in cold sweat.
“What...is this?!” one of the men muttered.
He watched as the man said he had no name but and the bloodthirsty glint in his eyes made Leon shiver.
Then the man opened a small portal. The sound of a wasps nest coming into action came from the portal and a swarm of 300+ Scavenger Wasps appeared.
"Let me tell you fucking bastards something. Though I'm not some lovey dovey fuck like the other guy who gets sentimental over small stuff but let me say the things i hate and the things ‘he’ hates are the same. And you guys we both hate down to our core." The man said.
All the men squirmed but to no avail and they were considered in combat so they couldn’t log out.
A real fear spread over Leon, he had been against using Scavenger Wasps because of that torturous poison and when the wasps landed on all the mans dicks he felt a cold feeling on his own.
"Let me share some information with you. These wasps aren't deadly. You can't really die of poisoning from them. But they still do have poison. You see the poison they possess is purely a defense poison that causes excruciating pain. Not only that, these little bastards are sadistic in the fact that they don't sting once and are gone but sting dozens of times. Let me show you." He said and snapped his finger and suddenly all the men began to wail like dying pigs.
They continued and after a moment he made a different gesture and the wasps move to the testicles of each man, one each. At this point Monica appeared and soon realized something was wrong. At that point he snapped his finger and killed the men without torturing anymore and took them to feed the hive.
Then he left after speaking some words to her.
That was the end of the video.
The room was quiet.
“What…” Leon muttered.
“We did a run on the systems, this wasn’t some kind of virus… it’s…” Monica said.
“That is… in me?” Leon muttered.
“Too bad I was found so quick! Also not in you idiot! I am another you moron!!” A voice full of rage called out.
“Wha!?” He muttered.
“Don’t bother, I’m in your head genius, if you wondering what I am, like I said, I am every last speck of rage, hate and darkness inside gathered together and formed into a separate personality! Deal with it idiot, I am your other, that first shadow you fought, i started waking up there!” He said and then laughed.
“Leon? Is something the matter?” Monica asked.
“He is talking into my head. He told me he appeared because of the expansion quest for my class. The one where i fight my nightmare.” He said.
“I doubt it would be like that, there must be more reasons because dual personalities aren't just so simple as that.” Dr. Booth said.
They all agreed.
“I will see with the people of XCom about this, at least a method to keep him from gaining control or at least having the system recognize him as a separate being.” Monica said.
“That would keep others safe, maybe within the game they could separate the two and keep him from gaining control of the main body.” Dr. Booth said.
“I need to check, this would also aid with any other cases that become like this.” Monica said.
“I’m sorry to bring this up when you're so tired but this isn’t something to withhold for you.” Monica said.
“It’s fine.” Leon said.
“Leave and don’t return bitch! Don’t appear in front of me anywhere or next time you’re dead!” The other shouted into Leon’s head.
It would take a lot to get used to this and Leon could only sigh as Monica left and the doctor followed after putting him laying down again.
“Damn, I forgot to check if I can use the VR apps to talk with Levi in the real world.” Leon cursed but left it at that.
