Me and Leon exit the game together and what appears for me is my room. It was a small room with a glass sliding door that went into a balcony that I had turned into a small garden.

I am 33 years old and have visited Leon’s house. I can say that I may have a similar degree of obsession towards plants as he does to bugs.

I have 2 rooms in my house that contain dried flattened flowers or plant leaves. I am probably single for this very reason as well which makes me conflicted and it’s the reason I never make fun of Leon about his poor love life like some of our colleagues have done before.

Anyway, enough about me. I go and take a bath and get ready for work. I still have night shifts and I have found stuff to study but most of it is in the game.

I hate to say it but I have been following the same thing that Leon does and use my time at work to study the plants.

I have taken the time to make a book of pressed plants so that I can make some observations.

I get my phone and go to the kitchen. While activating the app to see my books I go to a cabinet and pull out a small styrofoam cup with the words ‘Instant Ramen! In 2 minutes’.

Yeah, I know I should be healthier but let's face it... I have no cooking skills. Why do you think I am always pumped to eat Leon's cooking? It’s nearly godly, his cooking.

Don't confuse my flavor pellets for cooking. Those are made through alchemy but even in real life I really do dry fruits and mix them and make flavored blocks to help hid.... nevermind that!!!

Anyways I eat that death in a cup while sitting on the sofa within only my button up shirt and my underwear on.

What!? I am in my own house so bite me... actually don't...

When I have finished I get ready and go to work.

I let the car drive itself while I looked through the herbs.

Thanks to Leon's completely broken class, I have been able to gain so many herb variations. Let me explain. Similar to how he made all the variants of his fireflies, herbs like healing herbs have also become variants. They grow around the magic crystals and change a bit. What comes from them is herbs that heal status effects which before would need a poison mixed with a healing herb to make. Not only that for darkness magic crystal it can cure certain levels of curse magic. Here are the types.

Fire = Fire healing herb: cures burns.

Ice = Ice Healing Herb: capable of aiding the healing process against frostbite.

Lightning = shock herbs: heals paralysis and works as an anesthetic.

Dark = Curse Healing herb: improves resistance to dark magic and helps remove them.

Light = Greater Healing Herb.

Air, water and earth crystals don't show any change in them so I can only hypothesize it doesn't do anything.

While I was in the car on the way to work, I got curious about the app I had on hand.

The thought ‘if there is one then there is more’ came to mind and I went to the app shop and typed in ‘Virtual Life Online’ into the search bar.

What appeared was a bit interesting.

A few apps were rip off stuff but i did find official apps like, ‘Blacksmithing in Real Life’ i hit that one and read the description.

Blacksmithing in Real Life

Warning! This app only works with the Virtual Reality Glasses.

This is one of the many crafting apps we, XCom Inc., created for the VR glasses unit.

This app allows the user to access the inventory for materials pertaining to blacksmithing and ‘use’ it in real life. Only those using the glasses will see the objects in your hand and around you.

This app was made to allow people that can't remain in the game too long to utilize it in their free time while still benefiting from it because you still gain exp from using the skills in the real world. If you use this app and work with real metal and blacksmithing, even modern methods you will still get some experience.

I peel my eyes off of this and press the back button and find alchemy and botanist. They said similar things but in tune with the skill.

It means that it is my own field of work, I can gain levels in the game for doing my own job.

I looked down and saw that it said the VR glasses had a memory capacity for three skills but no combat class skills or fighting based stuff, it was open only to craft and support skills.

Since my phone and VR glasses were normally connected via the internet I sent the request for Blacksmithing, Alchemy and botanist. Botanist is a skill used for growing plants. Normally it is taught by herbalists, gardeners and some alchemists that raise their own herbs.

The advantage I get from this would be making my own garden in the hive and making better quality herbs. Not to mention this would level up as I do my hobby of caring for the plants I own.

The other two I plan to start using tomorrow. I should tell Leon since there includes a breeder app that takes into account all the breeding type classes and allows you to call your pets virtually to this world. But it doesn't allow companions so Levi can't come.

At work it was the same old same old until midnight. I did pass by Leon's workplace as he was absorbed by his work and told him about the apps.

He instantly went and bought the breeders and buglore skill app. He tells me that the buglore skill is a pain in the ass to level up and that Levi naturally levels up faster because her mind is linked to the hive while he can't concentrate on it too long since he is always moving. So he decided to study his bugs in this world while he has free time.

When i returned home i went to sleep like always... alone. Damn!

In the morning I wake up and go wash my hair to fix my messy hair and leave it better made.

Finally I jumped into the game and found myself in the hive.

I lazily got up from bed a second time today, yes Leon made me a bed to get a bonus from sleeping, and put on my armor. Thank god the system keeps my hair organized.

I walk into my alchemy lab and see a hanging sign over my cauldron.

[Flor, plz go to town and get all metal ores type available. I am paying, money is inside the cauldron. You can have what remains. OH right! Don't forget some coal. I only need 1 kilo of each type.

I'm meditating atm so messaging is disabled. Talk with Levi and she will lend you one of the spider Royal guards so that she will know when to open the portal.]

"Well I did say I would go to town. Still one kilo of all types of ores won't cost much, how much money he would leave." I mutter.

I reached inside and felt the small coin at the bottom.

When I pulled it out I just stayed there looking at the several small gold coins.

...

Gold… he gave me gold coins...

"WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU DAMN IT!?!?!?" I shout and look at the coins. "Seriously who GIVES away gold coins at our level. It's the same as giving away several thousand dollars." I complain at his carelessness with money but still pocket the coins.

I go to a large chest and begin pulling out dozens of potions from hp and mp potions to paralysis antidote, poison antidote and so on.

I get some poisoning potions which are concentrated poison found in the spiders Leon raises. I even got the flesh hunter wasp poison to paralyze and poison at the same time.

Gathering everything I needed and would sell, I went to the smithy which was next to the alchemy lab and looked through the weapons I made and stored most of the semi descent and descent stuff.

With everything gathered in my inventory, I go look for Levi and after asking the drone. She took me to the Desert where Levi was flying around looking around.

When she spotted me she flew over.

"Daddy said you needed a spider, so here." She said with a frown.

The large 35 cm spider appeared next to me.

"You follow her orders for now." Levi said getting a low screech in response.

"I should go then." I say.

"Yeah! Go big boobs shoo!" She said. I smiled seeing her act that way. It's like watching a loli in anime against a larger woman.

To tease her I look down and massage them.

"Are they really that big that you like them so much? Maybe you took after humans and want to be breastfed?" I said teasing, making her instantly blush.

"THIS GREAT ONE DOESN'T NEED THAT!! This great one has eaten solid food since this great one was a baby." She shouted.

I chuckle almost laughing at the cute act. I think this is a tsundere… no she refers to herself like royalty so it's a himedere. Well it's still cute nonetheless.

"Hmph! Oh! I just remembered! Daddy says to call the spider a familiar. Spiders, cats and birds are common magic familiars I think." She said.

I smile and pet her on the head.

"Thanks for the advice." I tell her.

Her beating wings slow down a tad bit and her eyes narrow a bit while tears appear.

"Ahhwawa! I don't like this!! Stwop!!" She said while she felt good from the petting. This has been a nice pastime ever since we found she feels good when you pet her at the base of the antenna.

I stop before she completely loses her strength.

"Drone please make an exit to the outside." I tell her.

"Yes guest, this way and have a good day." She says in an almost robotic tone.

I walk outside leaving Levi to hunt. The spider comes as well.

"Let's go then... hmm until we return i will refer to you as Bink." I tell him and he nods.

The village was about two kilometers away but it was still an easy walk there.

We arrived at the palisade walls with six watchtowers built behind the wall. The walls were built in two layers with a floor up above so that archers can climb up.

As we neared one guard stopped me.

"Halt!" He said.

"Is there a problem?" I asked.

"Yes, that monster spider!" He said pointing his spear at Bink.

"He is my familiar." I explain making his expression lighten up.

"Oh if it is that then take care. Also I suggest you keep him out of sight or on your arm or back. Most insect familiars do that at least as a way to show they are familiars." The guard said.

Seeing as I am not a mage, I wouldn't know but I nod and thank him for understanding.

We walked into the village, the spider still walking next to me, and began to look around. The village is simple. There is a single fountain in the middle of town with a statue of a woman and around that the houses are littered around randomly.

I could see a single smithy, herbalist and alchemist shop in the village, a few general goods stores, food and spices, and then there were the player stalls.

Oh right, the notice board was right next to the only gate of the village and with it the bounty board was placed there.

There was a large commotion with the players and walked over to see why.

After telling the spider to wait in a nearby tree hidden I pushed my way closer and saw the neat poster with golden inlaid borders. [Wanted Alive: Traveller Droso]

My eyes widened a bit as I read the contents of the bounty and I sigh a bit before chuckling at how lucky he can get.

There is no image and like we guessed, they would identify him by the weapon he uses and an ability he doesn't need to actually use.

Just as I turned around I noticed a bulky asshole eyeing me and couldn't help but sigh in disgust. Dickheads like him should just die.

I walk to the tree and call the spider down. He jumps down and crawls onto my back. If I wasn't so used to being around bugs because of Leon I would have freaked out.

Might as well get what I came to get. First to the blacksmith.

The smithy had the smith's house and on the outside the smithy was open air under a roof. A single large man was hammering away at the metal in front of him.

I go to the counter but he doesn't stop. After a minute of banging he puts the metal in the fire and looks my way.

"What ya need lass?"

"Can I have one kilo of brute metal ore of all types you have available and some coal?" I asked.

He raised a brow hearing my request and looked confused.

"So little?" He asked.

"It's personal stuff but I don't need more than that." I replied.

"Hmm, fine, wait 'ere." He said as he gets up and gets some sacks used for holding crops and goes into the back room of his house and after a minute returns with it filled.

"Copper, tin, iron, silver, coal. Dat's all I got 'ere." He said.

"It's fine, more than enough." I reply.

"20 silver coins." The smith said and I took out the money, amazed by the low prices. I was in need of smithing materials but i already bought this so let's return tomorrow.

I store the bag in my inventory and all the metals inside split and take up one box each. Inventories had a max of 100 boxes and a maximum weight limit. We could store 100 of any same item as long as it was craft ingredient, food or junk.

Metal ore had a limit of 150 kilos each box before a new pile would be made.

Seeing how i had what i wanted in this shop i went to the alchemist. There, I buy a lot more alchemy gear and three new runic slabs so that I can set up more of the rune process without needing to change anything.

I got a larger cauldron, several boxes of glass veils for potion and some ingredients like solution, which I really need to learn to make on my own.

Next I went to the herbalist not for basic ingredients but for less common plants.

"Greeting darling, what can i do for you?" An elder lady said.

"I just came to see the herbs for now." I tell her.

She just nods.

I take out my notebook and begin looking through all the herbs. I have already marked all the kinds I found in the hive so as I identify them I begin pulling off the ones I haven't found even by searching myself.

When I had passed through all the herbs I had a nice large pile with one herb of each kind.

"How much is all this?" I asked.

"Hmm, strange young lass. Well this all cost 3 gold coins. Most of the herbs you choose are somewhat rare and uncommon." She said.

I had expected as much but it was rather high priced. Still I had 8 gold from the gold coins Droso gave me.

Putting the pile away I thank the elder lady and exit the shop. It was then that I noticed the men from before walking over.

"Hey cutie, want to travel with us? We saw you buy all those herbs and thought we lacked a potion maker for our soon to be formed guild." The dickhead leader said.

"No thank you, I already know which guild I intend to join and it's not some cheap bounty hunter guild run by a dickhead like you." I said in an icy tone making everyone quiet down in the plaza.

The dickhead instantly turned red and puffed up in rage. When insulting and humiliating people follow an idea and never miss a chance.

"Hey look, he even got red, swollen and erect like a dick! A true dickhead without a doubt." I said in a joking tone as if stating an obvious fact.

At once anyone not affiliated with this guy covered their mouth and I saw his own men twitch a brow or the side of their lips twitch.

"You... dirty... cunt!!!" He began shouting but I cut him off.

"Sorry but mine is off limits and I take offense in that since mine is clean unlike you." I said.

Veins bulge on his forehead as he pulls out the sword.

Just as suddenly the Topaz Royal Guard spider crawled up my arm and jumped up before spraying and weaving his net at the same time.

The spider's appearance was so sudden the dickhead hesitated a moment and that moment was enough for the webbing to hit his right arm and chest.

The woven net was weak but that didn't stop it from being a monster spider’s net.

The man tried to move and it made the webs tangle up his arm and he grabbed with his other one only to have it get stuck.

Like a hunter he is, Bink ran forward with shocking agility thanks to his small size and jumped on the man while spraying more web.

This time it hit the other arm he had used to block. Sadly the spider also fell with the web and as quickly as it landed it began to crawl around his body shooting his web and weaving it to make a stronger knot.

In short, after two minutes of everyone being shocked the spider had tied the man's arms up until he couldn't move them and he had just shot the legs and tied them up a bit before jumping off and running away back to me.

Watching the man scream, yell, curse while he was tossing and turning was really funny but it wasn't until he tried to take a larger step. It was then that the webs around his leg took action. They were somewhat elastic but with a strong retracting force so when the idiot took a step forward the web pulled his leg back making him misstep and fall face first into the ground.

It was at this point everyone's shock broke and people began to outright laugh. I was having a hard time controlling the twitches on my face while watching the man. Sadly we didn’t get to enjoy it because the man’s friends moved in and began to cut off the webs.

It was interesting to see how much of a hard time they had and it showed just how strong the monster spider web was stronger than regular spiders. I then just realized. If this was a male spider and it could so effortlessly put what looked like a level 30 or more player in this situation what would happen when it gained human form. What i can tell, the higher the tier the more potential in stat growth they have. So what level is this little guy?

When the men were about to let loose the boss the village guards arrived.

“What is going on here!” shouted the guard captain.

“That dickhead over there came to try to recruit me to his soon to be made guild but I rejected him and when he couldn’t accept it after I rejected him he started to pull his sword out. At that point my familiar jumped in and subdued him.” I said quickly.

The guard captain looked at some of the villagers who nodded at what I said. It seems they aren’t really liked in this village.

“You brats, this is the fourth time we catch you doing this! This is enough! Grab your band of misfits and leave before contaminating our fair village.” The guard said.

All the people that were part of the group suddenly looked shocked and looked into mid air before turning pale then red with rage.

“YOU CAN’T DO THIS! THAT BITCH BEGAN TO INSULT ME!” The leader shouted.

He looked at me but I was crouched down petting the spider behind the head. It was letting out a low hiss sound filled with satisfaction. This little guy definitely had more intelligence than the regular spiders.

“Yeah, yeah! We will give her a warning but you idiots have gotten on my last nerve so scram!” The captain said.

The other guards begin to appear from around the small village and slowly equal the number of people. They would definitely win because their levels were higher.

Seeing how they were out matched, the leader sneered and called the men to leave but not without having the last words which I definitely don’t let him have.

“YOU WILL REGRET THIS, YOU BITCH!” he shouted.

“If I regretted it I would actually be feeling bad about this but since I’m not I can only say bye bye dickhead and have a good trip to the next town over or in whatever shit you crawl to.” I said with a fake smile on my face as if it’s the most natural thing. This makes people chuckle.

He leaves red in a fit of rage and bellows his anger as he stomps away.

Once they crossed the village gate the guard captain turned to me.

“Like I had told them, I must give you a warning about this. Please don’t actively pick fights with other people.” He said.

“I don’t pick fights with everyone, just disgusting shit’s like him that thinks muscle and brawn will attract a woman and that some higher number on his level will make other people do as he wants.” I reply to the captain.

“Heh, someone with good sense but you take it the wrong way. It can bite you in that pretty ass someday.” The captain joked.

“The only person biting this ass is the one that I love, love’s all about me and can get me in bed.” I said with a wide smile. “Anyway thank you for the help coming when you did, I’ll be careful from now on.” I tell him.

“Good!” He says and turns to his men and makes a hand sign. They disperse and return to their posts and soon after he leaves.

The players begin to move around again with the NPC.

“I had a lot of time before going back and I need to make some coins so let’s sell.” I thought.

Walking to the area where other players had stood, I pulled out a large red carpet and extended it out. I sat at the far side and pulled out a small sign saying [Weapons & Potions]. This was a shop name I wanted to make, a kind of brand. When I get famous I will be using this.

I put all my weapons I have for sale and potions on display and just wait for the customers to flock.
