《Dungeon AI》Chapter 6 - Irontown: part 2/3

Right as I got done talking, a little girl that looked like she was six or seven ran up to us. She then grabbed onto Andrews jacket and started tugging on it to get his attention. Andrew turned to look at the girl and then crouched and smiled, then said "Hi my names Andrew, and what can I help you with today" the little girl smiled and then began speaking rapidly, asking questions "are you a giant. I heard Giants come from the dungeon during the middle of the night to take away bad kids. My dad says they don't do that. He says they just sleep in the dungeon, and nobody's allowed to touch them because they got big guards that are scary. He also said Giants always sleep inside of the artifacts a year not asleep, so did. Are you a giant or did you wake up and walk out?
"Whoa, slow down there. I'm not a giant. I'm just from out of town. You said something about a dungeon, do know where any dungeons are?" The girl got more excited and said"that big metal tower that shoots fire out of it is the dungeon, but if you're from out of town. Does that mean there is Giants that live outside the town?" Andrew started to answer, but Steve cut them off "yeah Andrews a big giant. He just doesn't like to brag about it. You said there were sleeping giants in the dungeon is anybody tried to get them out?" The little girl was jumping in place now and said: "yeah, but that's when the big metal golem shows up and scare everybody off so nobody's gotten a giant out yet, but I gotta go tell my little brother that I met a giant goodbye."
The little girl then turned around and then blew off to the end of the street. No, seriously. She blew off to the end of the street like flying. There was a large gust of air that pushed her forward. Then she landed at the end of the street like nothing happened. A woman came walking up the street next to us and said "sorry about my daughter. She just became a wind mage earlier this month. Unfortunately, the spell she learned was windsprint. Now she keeps running off and talking to strangers and then running away again," the mother continued walking down the street after her daughter. She was also carrying some groceries.
I began to speak "so they call one of our ships a dungeon and apparently it still has some security bots. If what the little girl it said was true" I sighed and continued "okay, here's the plan. Andrew Stephen you're both going to the market to figure out how much things are worth, an idea of how their currency works. You both should have radios in your backpack, Andrew, I gave you a set of 20 throwing knives and ten gold coins. I want you to try and get a good price for the throwing knives, but the gold coins are for emergencies only. We don't know if that's enough gold to buy a kingdom or a sandwich So be careful with it. Steve, I put four folding knives and four decorated daggers in yours. The daggers and knives are also for trade, sell them to see what we can get."

Andrew gives a suggestion. "if they have a dungeon here. They probably have a shop or an adventure's guild right outside of it. You can probably get some good information from them," I then replied with, "good idea, Carol and I will see what buildings are outside the dungeon and see what information we can find. I was going to have Carol, and I go in but now that I know their security bots inside, I don't think that's a good idea right now, at least not until we get better weapons."
Steve then said. "number one rule about D&D don't split the party, but." Steve then stopped talking and stared into space. I tried to ask if he was okay "Steve? Steve? Are you okay you seem like you froze up their man?" Steve then looked back at me and said: "yeah, I just found out I can make a party one second, let me send you all invites."Carol and Andrew both froze up at the same time. Then they moved their hand in front of their face and said they accepted the invites. Steve was now looking confused and then said. "that's weird. I can't seem to send Cray an invite to the party. It keeps saying that he's not a viable party member.
I then spoke "what does the party member thing do anyways," Steve told me the description.
Partying system description: this system allows you to have up to five party members. For each party member, you have you gain 20% more experience. Maximum XP bonus +100% to completing quests or killing monsters. All experience will be equally divided among teammates it will not be duplicated among teammates. All party members can communicate with each other using text or voice. Members will be dropped from the party if they get more than 3 km away from the party leader.
Cray
"that would have been useful for all of us to have, but at least you three have it. anyways, Let's get going."

Beneath the Dragoneye Moons
Elaine is ripped from this world to Pallos, a land of unlimited possibilities made real by a grand System governing classes, skills, and magic. An ideal society? What is this, a fantasy novel? Adventures? Right this way! A Grand quest? Nah. Friends and loot? Heck yes! Humans are the top dog? Nope, dinosaur food. Healing and fighting? Well, everything is trying to eat her. Join Elaine as she travels around Pallos, discovering all the wonders and mysteries of the world, trying to find a place where she belongs, hunting those elusive mangos, all while the ominous Dragoneye Moons watch her every move. Hey! Beneath the Dragoneye Moons is my first writing effort, so please be kind, but don’t hesitate to point out the flaws. The story starts off slowly, more like a slice of life than action-adventure, but it gets there! I’m going to be posting M-W-F I do know how the story ends, and I promise if it ever gets dropped, or I stop doing this, I will post the ending. There will be no random “this is the last chapter” out of the blue. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

The Silver Mana - Book 1: Initiate
I used to be a healthy, young guy with a normal life - I had a career planned in professional soccer, a girlfriend, lots of hobbies, and loads of fun. Until the accident. Which changed my life. A few years later I had adjusted to my new reality, adjusted to being in a wheelchair, adjusted to having someone take care of me 24/7. And then the world changed. Old people and kids did not make it. And neither was I supposed to make it. But never count me out. If anything, I am tenacious. This new world was different. People could do magic. And there were monsters. And what about me? I had mana as well, silver mana. Which no one else seemed to have. The only problem was, I did not know what to do with it. Until I really needed to. Author's note: This is the rewrite of Silver Mana. The first bunch of chapters (until I will have caught up to level 2 of the dungeon) should be quite familiar to people that have read the original. There are some changes in content, but the story follows the original fairly closely for at least the first 150-200 pages. Most of the changes are in the writing, and some of the details of how things work. A few of the side characters get a bit more attention too. Some general comments to avoid disappointment: 1. The MC likes to swear. If you object to reading the word "fuck" at least once and usually multiple times each chapter don't read the book. "Fuck" is such a great, allencompassing word... fuck that; what the fuck?; fuck me! Fuck! one word, expressing so many nuances. And, frankly, the people I know that use fuck as a swear word.. they often use it a lot. 2. If you are looking for immediate progression, rapid advancement of the story, etc.... read another book. This one takes a bit. 3. I am NOT Pirateaba (who is writing The Wandering Inn) or anyone close to that level of productivity. If you expect to read 10k words every 3 days, or even just once a week... sorry. I've got a busy life. This is for fun, I have no patreon, paypal, anything, so I write when it is fun and however much is fun. Not more. And sometimes that turns out to be a decent amount, sometimes nothing. I have another book (Marrow) so that complicated things - basically I switch between the two whenever the muse strikes me.

Sanguilia, Guide extraordinaire and strange woman all around, is accompanying a trade caravan when disaster strikes. At first glance she is no more than a Guide, which is no lowborn title itself, as it represents individuals who are capable of traversing the unknown wilds and are well versed in the languages of the land and its inhabitants. Accompanied by a bar wench, who is far more than she seems, the mercenary Orc, Daenan and his tiny, flying companion, Faen, all with their own plans and agendas, they seek to tackle a monster in the shape of a man who controls the city. In the depths of the woods, far away from what humanity sees as the centre of civilisation, the lone, independent city of Lanas prepares itself for war, for the Kingdom of Maldora has set its eyes on them and their wealth. A cry for help goes out and bonds long faded into obscurity are renewed. And the world quakes when their calls are answered. Melena, once a slave girl, resides happily in the Mansion and is slowly getting used to her new life, where equality seems to rule. Until a noble's son decides that her very attractive body is something he should own. When the enigmatic master of the Mansion decides to personally deal with the rulebreaker, her world is turned upside down as she stumbles upon ancient mysteries that threaten to overwhelm her. Luckily she finds support in her once-liberator, now turned friend, the happy-go-lucky Evon, who carefully hides his past, the ghost-like Khrast, Kreya and many others. It is a tale of adventure, of lies and deceit, of love lost and found, of bravery and cowardice and where every one of our heroes and villains alike strive to find the answer to the same question: who is the being behind the Mansion of the Woods?
