The White Emperor stood up, and said, “If that is the case, then we will have to do whatever it takes to guarantee that the person will join us. But first, we have to find him.”

“Mobilize our entire intelligence force. I want this person to be found as soon as possible.”

“Roger that.”

Lumi asked him a question that has been on her mind ever since she saw him slap a monster ten times his strength to death.

“I do not know, nor do I care,” he said in a nonchalant voice.

“Don’t be like that, Master. As companions, I think we should get to know more about each other.”

“What kind of companions calls the other ‘Master’? And I don’t recall ever asking for a companion either.”

“But I finally have someone to talk to after thirty thousand years…”

“Not my problem, nor do I care.”

Soon, they returned to the village, and Yin Xian walked straight to where Madam Passion was selling her potions.

“Oh, you’ve returned very quickly. How was it? Did you do what I asked?” The inside of her eyes danced with expectation and excitement upon seeing him.

“No, I did not.” Yin Xian crushed her expectations with a single sentence.

Madam Passion looked at him with a deep frown, and said, “Then why have you come back?”
