[Would you like to use ‘Spoiled’ as your title?]
[Yes][No]
“.....”
Yin Xian stared at the question before him. “Would I like to call myself a spoiled little brat? What kind of question is this? Is this game making fun of me?”
He suddenly burst out laughing.
“First my name, then an impossible quest, and now this? You think you’ve won just because of something this little? You’re too naive, system!”
And he selected... [Yes].
[You have equipped ‘Spoiled’ as your new title]
[You have received a blessing from your equipped title, decreasing your drop rates significantly]
“Huh? Wait… Wait! Unequip! Unequip title!”
He tried all sorts commands, but alas, the title stayed unmoving next to his name.
“How the fuck is this a blessing?! It’s more of a curse!” He cried, his eyes bloodshot.
“....”
After closing his eyes to take a few more deep breaths, Yin Xian finally calmed down.
“Hmph, who cares about something as insignificant as drop rates? With my godlike luck, I’ll get something legendary even without any drop rates!”
He continued to walk--- not towards the village to get a weapon, but towards the Silent Forest.
For some reason, he felt the need to punch things, and using a weapon would not satisfy his suppressed anger.
Quite some time had passed, maybe an hour, yet this Silent Forest was nowhere in sight.
“Did I get screwed over by an NPC, again?” He started to doubt the directions that Madam Passion had given him.
“She said to walk straight, but I’ve walked at least three miles by now... How far is 'straight'?”
Suddenly---
[World Announcement]
[Hero ‘{Divine Spear} King’ has obtained a Supreme-Grade piece of equipment-- the ‘Heaven-Piercing Spear’-- becoming the first person to have obtained a Supreme-Grade weapon!]

“World Announcement? So this game does have a normal system, after all.”
Yin Xian continued to walk without paying much attention to the World Announcement.
Meanwhile, the entire world-- both outside and inside the game--- went into an uproar because of it.
LegacyPlayerbase.net was a website forum where the majority of the playerbase gathered to share, discuss, learn or teach just about anything in Legacy Online. And currently inside this website forum, the general chat blew up with countless players talking about the latest World Announcement.
[Saberface: Holy shit! The Red Emperor was the first one to obtain a Supreme-Grade equipment and not the White Emperor whom everybody had placed a bet on!]
[DJ Mop: With the Supreme-Grade in his hands, the Red Emperor’s Faction’s power will surely skyrocket!]
[OllyKid: Hahaha! Suck on those, Blue Emperor’s Faction! With Red Emperor’s new Supreme-Grade weapon, your Emperor better watch his head when walking his dogs!]
[696969: Hmph, our Blue Emperor will find his own Supreme-Grade equipment very soon, and when he does, we’ll be the ones laughing!]
[JumpMan: So what if your Red Emperor finds a Supreme-Grade weapon?! I’ll still beat you Red Dogs to death even if he finds a Heaven-Grade weapon!]
[21517D: Fuck you, you Blue Dogs!]
[KingFan#1: Fuck you, you Red Dogs!]
The chat quickly turned chaotic with countless people--- mainly from two sides--- swearing at each other nonstop. It had become so out of hands that the forum moderators had to step in to mute the entire chat for a good while.
-Back inside the game-
After another hour of nonstop walking, Yin Xian finally reached his destination, the Silent Forest.
[You have entered the Silent Forest]
It did not take long for him to find the triangular-shaped rock as it was only a few meters away from him.

Following the directions that Madam Passion had given him, he stands in front of the sharpest edge with his back narrowly touching it.
“Thirty steps forward…”
“One…”
“Five…”
“Ten…”
“Fifteen…”
After taking his twentieth step forward, Yin Xian noticed a slight change in the forest.
“Where is this fog coming from?”
The forest that was quiet and clear was suddenly invaded by fog. It was a weird phenomenon, but that did not stop Yin Xian from whatever he was doing.
“Now twenty steps to the left…”
“One…”
“Two…”
“Three…”
With each step he took, the fog got denser.
“Ten steps to the right…”
Very soon, the fog got so dense that seeing his own hands was impossible.
“Finally, three steps forward…”
“One…”
“Two…”
“Three…”
*Whoosh*
A huge gust of wind suddenly picked up in the middle of nowhere just like the fog had appeared out of nowhere.
Very quickly, the fog disappeared, revealing a place entirely different from what he had seen just a few minutes ago.
The forest was nowhere to be seen, replaced by an empty land with only a large cave in sight a few meters ahead of him.
[You have discovered a Hidden Location inside the Silent Forest]
[Being the first player to discover this Hidden Location, you have been awarded Achievement Points]
[+5 Achievement]
“A hidden location… Interesting!”
Yin Xian walked towards the entrance of the cave with unfaltering steps and a calm expression.
[You have discovered a new dungeon-- the Luminous Cave]
[Being the first player to discover this dungeon, you have been awarded Achievement Points]
[+5 Achievement]
“What?! A dungeon?! So she did screw with me! No wonder why the system deemed this quest impossible for me!”
Dungeons are dangerous because of many reasons, but they were not impossible to clear. With that being said, Dungeons, however, are not meant for a single person to clear, especially not a level one noob without any equipment like Yin Xian.
“Hahaha! After everything I’ve been through today, what else is there for me to be surprised about anymore?! So what if it’s a dungeon?! So what if I am alone?! So what if I am level one?! What happened to that fat panda proved one thing--- And that is one’s level does not matter!” He burst out laughing, his laughter echoing in the cave.
“Although Xiao Mo had advised me to do so already, I did not really think much about it because of how foolish it sounded. However, it really seems that I should start treating this game as if it is real-life!”
With a grin on his face, Yin Xian walked deeper into the darkness without caring much for the moving red glows.

God complex
A hero is summoned to another world, vanquishes evil, yadda yadda, saves the kingdom and lives happily ever after. There is no such hero in this story. Just a desperate youth with great ambition and very little to lose. A zero to hero style story set in a country clearly inspired by modern USA with just as many issues and the minority of mages often pulling strings from the shadows. I am also hoping the whole thing won't turn out edgy enough to cut me. I want to rely on actual good writing rather than cheap powertrip gimmicks. edit: Please don't mind Zetari's salty review. He is quite literally making up any use of the torture and human experimentation trope and says MC is blank after 4 chapters where he conveniently stops reading just at the start of his first character development. For extra entertainment, I will be uploading chapters two at a time and compose a relevant poem through the chapter names. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

Makemake
"Makemake—a planet that is found in the far edges of the system known as Sol—was once a metropolis, like all of the other planets that populate the system. Now, like all of the others, it lies as a Sleeping City, forever dormant. No one lives there anymore—it has been vacant for years. In one of the massive cities that used to have a population that was in high numbers a sound could be heard. A distant sound. A beep, or a call, a message—whatever it was, it was an electronic noise. It echoed through the dust cloud filled landscape. The sound went on for a long time. It sat in a sea of quiet; no other noise rolled over the hills and bounced off the ground—only that noise. Only that beep."
