Every living beings in the Abyss shook from the power of the voice. Mountains collapsed and rivers dried.

At this moment, everyone in the Abyss finally knew…

And not just the normal one, but the one who had qualification to become…

A God!

Everything happened too fast, too much for her to prepare. Just a moment ago, they were still joking happily with each other. Just how did this all happen?

Alicia didn’t know. At first she thought he just needed the aether so she put all her effort into giving him. However, that wasn’t it.

He needed something more than that but she didn’t know what it was. So she used to holy power mainly to heal him first but things didn’t go as she expect.

Instead of helping him, her power actually harmed him instead.

And now what’s left was him lying on the ground, lifeless. His body was translucent. It’s just like he was in the realm between reality and not.

Even she, a Transcendant, could barely feel his existence with her sense.

Alicia slowly picked him up and held him in her embrace. Her tears flow out uncontrollably. Sure, she had only known him for two years. The time was very short compared to her unlimited lifespan.

But to her, he was not just a random boy she picked up. He was more than that, a lot more than that.

She didn’t even know how she got attached to him so much in a short period of time. Only now did she become aware that he resembled someone from her past. The past she would never forget.

“It’s you!” She screamed with a hoarse voice as she looked into the sky. Her face was filled with hatred. “It’s you again! Just one day, one day, I will…”

Alicia now realized what happened to her Lulu. It was ‘that being’s’ doing again. The one who she vowed to kill at all cost.

Looking at Lulu in her arms, tears of blood started to flow out from her eyes, turning her vision entirely red. The feathers fell out from her wing as a black power was eating its holiness.

“I will… I WILL SAVE YOU, LULU!”

Woosh! Boom!

Spreading her wings, Alicia leaped into the sky in a certain direction, wending impact everywhere. She was still sending her power to him all the time, no matter if it was holy or dark power. She just gave him everything she had.

Everywhere she flew past turned desolate. Uncountable trees and monsters died along the way.

At that moment, Abyss began to act. Every Transcendants should know that they could not kill any lower beings or used their transcended power below the seventh floor. The one who break the rule will be eliminated by the Abyss itself.

Boom!

A big sound rang out, sending waves all over the first floor as the blood red lightning struck at Alicia’s wings. However, it couldn’t injure her in the slightest.

The sky became dark red packed with ominous clouds. Looked like Abyss realised that its target wasn’t an ordinary one. The energy from every floors started accumulating in the first floor, ready to turned its offender into ash.

While Alicia was moving at unimaginable speed, a dark cloaked man all of sudden came into her view, blocking her path.

“We have been looking for you for a year but to think you actually showed up yourself.”

Alicia didn’t say anything as she attacked him straightaway. The guy in front of her was that notorious guy, the leader of Dark Hand.

In truth, if they were to fight straightforwardly, no way would Alicia lose to him. However, this guy was full of tips and tricks. His skills were weird and hard to counter against, just like that mana seal. Even she, an archangel, had never heard of it before, especially, the skill that can seal a Transcendant’s mana.

Boom!

People from far away could only hide themselves from the impact as they watched the city being destroyed bit by bit. The fight was in a realm that was too incomprehensible for them.

“Heh, you actually brought me back my lab rat.”

The Dark Hand leader could only now notice the boy in Alicia’s arm after fighting for a while and realized the kid was one of the people he summoned.

He thought he had collected them back completely over the year. Never did he expect to find one here.

However, this kid was weird. It was like the kid was losing his existence that he could barely sense him.

“He looks important to you, huh? But he is dying? Interesting.”

Hearing his words, Alicia changed her expression, which had been cold, for the first time. But reverted it back instantaneously.

One of her arms was carrying Lucien, her mana was sealed and she was suffering from Abyss tribulation. Throughout the whole time, she also sent her energy Lucien.

She didn’t know why Abyss didn’t strike her enemy as well but she was too busy to care. Most of her skills were unavailable as she couldn’t exert her mana. Right now, her whole body were covered in blood and her dark grey wings were chipped, ragged. There was no more holiness she usually emitted.

However, her enemy didn’t have it good either. That cloak was torned everywhere and dyed with its owner’s blood. There were also two holes on his leg and arm.

Although the Dark Hand leader seemed calm and collected on the outside, he was exclaiming in his heart. Just how could this angel still alive? And with that much power...

Boom! Boom!

He dodged the grey spear that was aiming for his head and quickly fall back. Every attacks of her broke dimension and severed reality. ‘Is it that kid? Is he holding her willpower?’. Then, he decided to aim for the kid instead.

Just when Alicia was about to strike her enemy once more, a small tug was felt on her chest. Her eyes widened as she swiftly evaded the coming blow and teleported several kilometers away in an instant.

“L-Lulu?”

“a-alic.. ia…” Lucien uttered weakly in her arm with his eyes still closed.

“L-Lulu…” Seeing her Lulu, tears started to gather in her eyes again.

“..orb… at..least...let me… die..at….ho..me...I...hate..this.. place…” Knowing he was dying for sure, at the very least, he wanted to return to Earth.

“No! Lulu, *sob* I will save you *sob* I will save you!!!”

“p-ple..ase...alicia...you..know I… won’t..make it....” He used all his energy to tug her once more.

Sobbing, Alicia gritted her teeth as she took out the Heavenly Spatial Orb and placed it on his hand shakingly.

“..thank..s..” Lucien felt his mana being sucked in the orb with Alicia’s control. He then thought of Earth, his home.

Whoom!

A blue circular gate appeared before them.

Screech! Boom!

Right when Alicia was about to enter the gate, a beam of light pierce through her heart. Losing control of her barrier, a streak of dark red lightning struck her in the back. However, she was relief that her Lulu was alright, not caring about the wounds at all.

“Let’s end this already, shall we?”

Another beam was shot again, aiming at Lucien this time. Alicia quickly blocked it with her abdomen, receiving another hole on her body.

Her vision was blurred as she fell on her knee. The 3 meters tall gate also started to shrink.

Her body trembled when she sensed another lightning coming for her. A word left her mouth tiredly,”I’m sorry, Lulu…”

“N-no… alicia.. you..can’t ..die…”

At that moment, time seemed to slow down as Lucien finally opened his eyes. He saw the lightning was approaching Alicia but there was nothing he could do. He couldn’t even lift his finger.

However, he didn’t care. He didn’t care that all the cells in his body was screaming in pain. He didn’t care that his soul was breaking apart. And he didn’t even care if he had to suffer hundred times of what he was experiencing right now.

The only thing he cared..

Was the woman in front of him!

EPIPHANY!!

RELENTLESS HEART!!!

The Abyss Tribulation struck him as he quickly moved his body to protect Alicia.

“I WON’T LET YOU DIE!”

With his pure willpower, Lucien threw her into the gate.

Alicia was so shocked that she couldn’t even move when she saw Lucien blocking the lightning for her. Blood seemed to flood out of her eyes as she passed through the gate.

The enemy was also stunned for a second upon seeing what happened. Then he realized his target had already escaped.

“You love each other that much, huh?”, said the guy furiously. He appeared before Lucien with inconceivable speed and threw him into the gate.

Then, he shot another beam from his finger piercing through Lucien’s heart as he was sucked into the whirlpool.

A few seconds later, the gate closed down and the man was standing there solemnly. He didn’t dare to chase after Alicia as there was a high probability that what waiting for him might be an army of Heaven.

He didn’t know how she activated the orb as her mana was sealed and he would never expect that the mana was from the kid, who had just entered Legas for a year.

Whatever the case, it was his fault being too careless. All he could do was to send the kid’s corspe following her as a revenge.

“Hah,” he sighed. “Half of the floor has been turned into a mess, huh?”

Lucien felt nauseous as he passed through the gate. He didn’t know how could he still be alive.

Seeing an unconscious Alicia lying beside him, he hugged her weakly.

The surrounding was dark and he remembered that this place was where he left Earth. It was the route he took every time to get home after buying grocery.

He couldn’t leave her like this as the sun might rise anytime and some people might find her. At least, with his dying life she gave him, he would use it for her.

He picked Alicia up with both bloody arms like a knight carrying a princess. Both of their body were full of blood.

And like that, he walked, albeit slowly, leaving the second trail of blood in his life…
