Lucien might not know but both his actions and appearance were molded by his parents, making him looks so pure and cute in woman eyes. Even his own parents couldn’t resist his charm since he was young.
Every woman had a feeling of spoiling him seeing his innocent face. Although Lucien’s face was not enough to be an actor or could be said to be very good-looking, every actions of his were 100% cute shota.
Even his short hair style could represent the entire shota race!
Lucien looked around the room. The room was not big and a bit pinkish. There was nothing much, just a bed, a reading table, a closet and a shelf. It should be Ruby’s room.
He found his dagger and pouch laid on the floor. He then check ‘his’ stuff in the pouch and found out that all the pills were wasted. Thankfully, the herbs were still fine. Lucien planned to sell them later.
His clothes were fold nicely on the table. On his body were linen shirt and shorts, looking rpg style.
“Did she change my clothes?” Lucien furrowed his brows.
He changed back to his old clothes and laid back on the bed, trying to get some rest. However, his body felt just fine so he got up after turning left and right for half an hour.
Feeling gratituted for the group of adventurers saving him, he walked to the door wanting to thank people.
Bam!
A sound of someone slamming a door came from outside. Lucien stopped his hand in mid air and tried to listen to the situation outside.
“What the rush, Hildan?” Tony’s voice sounded out.
“pant~ pant~ Good news everyone! pant~ It’s a good news!” The one who rushed in, Hildan, shouted happily as she panted.
“Calm down Hild. What happened?” Lucien heard an unfamiliar man’s voice. His voice had an expectation in it. He should be one of the party.
“Phew~ Phew~ We’re rich! We really hit it big this time! Stool, Tony, Carl, Rub- eh? Where’s Ruby?”
“She has just gone to church, today’s Sunday afterall. Quickly tell us what happened, Hildan.” Tony said solemnly.
“First, tell me, how’s that kid we saved yesterday?”
‘Me?’ Lucien furrowed his brows, feeling curious.
“He’s alright. Looks like Ruby likes him a lot. He’s probably sleeping right now as his wound was not light for a level 0.” Tony answered her.
“What? Thank god she’s not here. Let’s do it with just us. Don’t tell her okay.”

“Just stop wasting words and say it already. The readers are getting annoyed of you.” (author too…) Another unfamiliar voice said impatiently.
“Ok, Carl, calm down, I’m sorry. I’ll get you new staff ok? You know that boy we saved has a weird title, right?”
“Yeah, is it ‘Will of Sauce’ or something?”
“It’s ‘Will of Survival’.” Stool corrected Carl.
“Yeah, that title. I’ve just seen a notice posted by Dark Hand Organization about that!”
“What!? Dark Hand Organization!? Isn’t it that guy’s organization? All 4 factions are chasing him right now and he dares to show up?” said Carl, astonished.
“I heard that he is spotted in the lower floor of Abyss a few days ago, fighting against angels! Right, angels! Those transcendent beings! and he even massarced ten of them single handly!” Stool exclaimed.
“I heard from the rumor that the angel leader fled away though. Well, that doesn’t matter! The organization are now looking for people with that title, ‘Will of Survivor’! They said whoever spot and bring the one with title to them, They will give out 1000 gold coins! Yes! One thousand! GOLD! COINS!” Hildan shouted excitedly.
“Right now, everyone is looking for them. From my information, the one with title were actually summoned from outside Legas and they know nothing about system. They don’t even know how to hide their title and only have level 0. A pure money bag, you know!?”
Lucien eyes widened, he was already holding his dagger stepping back to the window slowly and quietly.
“What!?” The other three exclaimed. They were so surprised. Even the oldest, normally calm Tony had his eyes flashed with greed. ‘Thank god Ruby’s not here. She seems to like the kid a lot and won’t let us sell him away.”
“So much money. We really strike it rich! I can finally buy a rare magic staff! We have to thank Ruby saving him, otherwise none of us would have done it.” Carl, the magician, said excitedly.
Hmph, we have to buy my rare dagger first!” Stool snorted at Carl. “Eh? I can feel something.”
As a thief related job, Stool had a high perception and he felt something was not right.
“Sh*t!” He rushed into Ruby’s room only to see an opened window. The boy wasn't there anymore.
“Damn it! He’s gone!” (Stool)
“H-How!?” (Hildan)
“It’s the f*cking window!” (Stool)

“What the hell are you standing for! He’s just level 0, chase him!”
‘Tch, he actually perceived me from outside the room.’ Lucien was lowering his body near the window from the outside. The guy’s perception was too scary. He didn’t dare to run. He was sure that he would be outrun in the end so he tried to make an ambush before running.
However, the situation was not easy. They were going to chase after him straight away. Right when he was about to risk everything-
Bam!
The poor door was forcefully opened again.
“Everyone! It’s bad! Bad people are looking for my Lu-kun!” Ruby rushed in hurriedly.
“Who the hell is Lu-kun? Ruby, you are not at the church?” Tony tried to remain calm.
“I’ve just seen the notice and rushed back- Hey, why is the door of my room opened? Where’s Lu-kun?” Ruby felt that the atmosphere was weird. “Hey, Stool, why are you in my room?”
“What did you do to Lu-kun? He’s just a kid!” Ruby’s voice was filled with fury.
“Hey, Ruby, calm down. He ran away.” Carl said unhappily. “We need to go quickly and chase him. He’s our money bag, okay?”
“What did you say!?” Carl’s words really triggered her switch. Blood started to rush too her face.
Stool couldn’t wait anymore and slowly walked backward to the window. Right when his upper body reached outside-
Slash!
Blood flows.
Lucien swung his dagger with all his might, catching Stool completely off guard.
“Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!” Ruby and Hildan both screamed.
“Stool!” Carl and Tony quickly got up from the chair.
‘Success!’ Lucien’s face turned cold as he turned back to run.
Boom!
He felt like his back was hit by a hammer. The power was much greater than Gibb’s and the boar’s. His body flew into the air. His eyes contacted with Ruby’s.
The time seemed to slow down. A second was like minutes as they looked at each other. One filled with pain and one filled with sadness.
Bam!
His body smash only floor, rolling a few times before coming to a stop.
Another bam sounded out as Stool figure hit the floor, unmoving, with lifeless eyes.
Everything was too quick. Four people were still processing the situation, standing still.
However, before they could digest what happened, the ‘dead’ boy stood up and dashed away with a speed impossible to be from a level 0.
“Ah!” Ruby screamed again in shock.
“I will kill that piece of sh*t!” Tony started to chase the boy as he cursed. His face was red of anger. He and Stool had been good friends for a long time.
“No! Don’t, Uncle Tony!” Ruby quickly casted a barrier, blocking Tony. Her mind was in chaos right now. Did he not die? How did he survive that? Uncle Tony is trying to kill him, w-what should I do!?
“What are you doing, Ruby! Your Uncle Stool is dead, are you blind? He, who you know for years, was killed by that boy you picked up yesterday!” Tony was fumed with rage at his unreasonable nephew.
“B-b-but he’s just a k-kid.” Ruby stuttered. Her eyes were blank. She just wanted to protect the kid recalling his clear eyes.
“Damn it! Wake up, Ruby!” Couldn’t take it anymore, Tony destroy the barrier with his great sword and chased after the boy.
tump~
Ruby fell on the ground helplessly. She doesn’t want to think anymore. A picture of the boy she’d just met appeared in her mind as a streak of tears poured down from her eye.

[Ding! The title effect ‘Will of Survival’ activated! You have survived one lethal attack!]
“Tch, every, f*cking, single, attack, can, f*cking, kill, me, in, one, f*cking, hit!!!!” Lucien was very very very frustrated at the world he was in.
Activating Wind Reinforcement at full power, He felt his mana rushing through his body madly. He tried to activate it only to his leg to spend less mana.
Infusing each steps with empower as he leaped, his speed right now was very fast. He didn’t know where he was heading, randomly making turns. There were not many people on the streets, almost none.
However, he still got the feeling of being chase after running for 5 minutes. His mana and stamina were almost empty. His clothing turned wet from sweat as his heart pounded loudly.
Right when the sound of footsteps were coming closer and he was about to use his title skill to get unlimited mana, a hand caught Lucien’s arm out of nowhere.
Before he could react, he got dragged into a door beside him, into darkness. His face was filled of immense fear and despair.

The Patchwork Realms
Athos is a good dog. He likes frisbee, bacon, and his family (SmolFriend, Mom, and Dad). He's not so keen on falling through an interdimensional portal to a fantasy world where floating boxes tell you that you've just been given status as the 'Supreme Exemplar' of your species, a powerful package of abilities that includes human-level intelligence. Sure, being smart is nice but less so when it comes with the need to survive in a land made from bits of different dimensions stitched together like patches in a quilt. A thousand species, a thousand lands, sorcery and super science rubbing elbows, wars and intrigue everywhere...it's exhausting for a good dog who just wants to go home! Note that this is a work in progress with lots of fiddly numbers so I will occasionally need to go back and fix errors, and this might affect events of earlier chapters. I'll try to keep this to a minimum and will post a note whenever it happens. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
