“Ugh, it hurts like hell…” Groaned Lucien as he tried to open his eyes. He found that he couldn’t open them as he was so exhausted. It was like there was no energy left. He sighed to himself. “Phew~ at least I survived.”

He thought of his savior, the title ‘Will of Survivor’

Will of Survivor: You can avoid one lethal attack once per day. Activate this skill to gain unlimited stamina for 5 second but your stamina will be empty afterward. Can be used once a day.

Yes, the reason he survived that last blow was all contributed to this title. Unfortunately, the title didn’t help him with the impact which he got from the floor. He felt his bones cracked.

Lucien saw the effect of this title as he was running so he thought of a plan. He emptied out his stamina to make his body condition looked realistic to lower Gibbs’ guard. His struggling to stand was all out of willpower so those shakings of hands and legs weren’t fake.

He then activated the title as he stabbed a dagger into the guy’s armpit when he found the chance. As for why the armpit? Armpit is a place full of big blood vessels. Though it would be hard to stab at the armpit in a normal circumstance, the one presented him allowed it. Not many people were aware of this place even on Earth. He knew it because his father liked to teach him weird stuff and always got scolded by his mother from that.

As a result, his stamina was now empty. He remembered that his max stamina was 19 with a regen rate of 8 per minute from the +1 all stat from his newbie path so he just needed to rest for around two minutes. However, his mental strain didn’t have those regen. He laid down for 5 full minute, only got up because he wanted to leave this place as soon as possible. As this was a fantasy world, a monster might smell the blood scent here.

When he opened his eyes, a wall of texts greeted him.

You have activated the title ‘Will of Survivor’! You now gain unlimited stamina for 5 seconds!

You have killed a human level 62. You gain…

Ding! You can’t get experience outside of your world when it hasn’t finished its tutorial period!

Congratulations! As you have killed someone with higher league for the first time, you are rewarded with a title ‘One who Surpasses’, +5 all stats and a reward path ‘Surpasser’ is now open for you!

Congratulations! As you have killed someone with two leagues higher than yours for the first time, +10 all stats, your title ‘One who Surpasses’ has been added one more effect!

Your title effect has worn off, your stamina are now emptied.

“Woah! 15 added in all stats!” Lucien exclaimed happily. Then, as he realized something, he face turned grim. “These rewards are from me risking my poor life. I should get something like 150 all stats!”

Lucien felt his body became a lot more stronger, a whole dimension from just a moment ago. As he got up from the pool of blood, mostly from the dead man, he was reminded of what had just happened.

Uwahckk!

He puked. He puked so bad that everything he just ate at lunch, morning and yesterday before being sent to this damned world came out of his stomach. His throat felt hurt from all the acid and his face turned pale as white as sheet.

After all the puking, his hands were still shaking from shock. He mumbled with his hoarse voice as he faced with reality. “I-I killed a person…”

His thought before he opened his eyes was suppressed from pain all over his body and the series of notifications which was why he just realized what he had actually done. Although he had already resolved himself that he might have to kill to survive, it was still a big mental shock for him, a 14 years old boy from a modern society.

“I-it’s okay.” Lucien tried to calm himself. “I-I did it to survive. I might die or live a life worse than dead if I followed him.”

“B-but what if he didn’t try to do anything bad to me,?”

“No, no, no, dad told me not to trust someone with that kind of smile. And that guy definitely plot something bad. His face was also villainous enough that a 7 years old kid can recognize. Moreover, his action and his words before he died were already enough as evidences.” Lucien tried to justify his action but he still felt his heart uncomfortable.

“No! killing is a killing. It does not matter if I kill a villain or even a saint. I killed to survive and I will gladly do more if necessary. This world is different from Earth. I have to be flexible. My mind can’t be restricted by morality. Though it will be hard, I have to change. Phew~” Lucien started to calm down. However, his hands were still shaking slightly.

It was unbelievable to have this mindset for someone as young as him. Well, the way he was brought up was ‘slightly’ different from others and he was aware of it. That’s why he didn’t have any friends back in the school. The kids at his age seemed too childish to him.

Lucien walked slowly to the corpse. His stomach started to churn again from all the blood as gore. He tried to suppressed it.

He then resolved himself once more as he looked straight at the corpse. “This world is as bad as the name. I even had to kill the first person I met. There might be more to come so I can’t just be scared of this!”

He stared at the corpse for 10 seconds. Let’s just stop. I’m feeling weird doing this.

Lucien looted all the stuff the man had, including a dagger sheath and a pouch. Although he wanted the boots as well, but they were too big for him. He might trip and fall down in a critical situation. He would try to fix his sandals when he found them. After all, walking in a forest, he couldn’t do it with bare feet.

His feet and other wounds of his body were already started to heal. It should be because of his higher vitality and endurance. It made him can’t help but exclaimed. “This system is amazing!”

He held his urge to check his status and things in the pouch as he wanted to find a safe place first.

Lucien walked back to direction he was from. He wanted to find his sandals and grocery bag he threw away.

After half an hour, he was already back to the place he met Demonic Blood Bees. The bees were now gone so as his meats and veggies. Fortunately, he still found his sandals, fixing them enough to be barely usable.

Lucien still remembered the way to the town from direction the now dead Gibbs led him so followed that direction. Although there was a possibility that the town might be full of bad guys, he still need to gather more information of this place as he didn’t know anything. There might also be a possibility this direction was leading to a place like bandit den. Well, no choice, he couldn’t stay in the forest forever, right? He just need to be one hundred percent careful, nope, one million percent.

From his observation and the information from Gibbs, this place is called Panam forest. It should not have that many monsters as he hadn’t seen one except for the bees and as Gibbs was not that vigilant walking in the forest. Maybe the monsters here were passive, only attacking human when being provoked, like those bees. That guy actually destroyed their home.

Lucien walked for around 200 meters. He didn’t how much time had passed but the sun was almost set. Checking every trees nearby, making sure there was no monsters, he decided to mark the direction on the floor and climbed up the tree. He got level 3 climbing skill when he reached the branch. The white trunk red leaves tree he chose was around 3-4 meters tall. It had a nice big branch for him to lay on.

“Phew~ What a great start here in another world!” Lucien smile sarcastically. “Now it’s time to see my loots and status!”
