《The Kitty Litter (LitRPG)》Reunited (Chapter 36)

Today was a good day for both the cat and the bunny. Yue's 'giant mecha' was finally complete! For a year, Yowi had been trying to convince Yue that they should go on a grand adventure, raid dungeons, explore new lands, you name it. But Yue insisted it was too dangerous; she wanted to build a combat mecha first. And today, it was finally complete. It consisted of a crude metal torso with arms on the side and legs on the bottom. At the front was were bars to protect the user from attacks. Yue would have liked to use glass instead but she feared the glass would shatter. It only stood at the height of 1.5 metres, but it was still gigantic compared to cats and rabbits.
To celebrate, they summoned lots of random food with the help of the Staff O' Summons. Food was spread all over the table as the two began to eat. As they ate, they suddenly heard knocks on the door.
"Iggnor it!" said Yue. "Ish jus random animaul!"
But the knocks persisted. Yowi decided to put down his fish and check the source of the commotion. He opened the door only to find a vaguely cat-like thing covered in scented pink moss. It smelled... familiar? Yowi couldn't quite put his paw on it.
"Hi! I am a cat. Let's be friends!" said the deformed cat enthusiastically.
Yowi: ...
The moment he heard the voice of the 'cat', Yowi recognised it. It was that weird smelly poop golem!
"Munster! Goo awruy!" shouted Yowi.
"Wait, no! I have gifts!" the 'cat' waved its paws frantically.
In a hurry, it unloaded a bunch of living flopping fish, a mostly intact dead boar and a few stalks of catnip from its inventory. Yowi's eyes shone. Maybe the (now less) smelly golem wasn't that bad! Yowi swept all the items into his inventory.

"Weit here!" mewed the cat.
So Poopy, sat outside. But after an hour, Yowi still wasn't out yet. The golem was a little nervous that Yowi might have ran away, but it didn't want to disobey the 'commands' from its 'master'. (Yowi just went back to feasting with Yue.)
Another hour passed as the duo finished their meal and made preparations for the adventure. Bored, the golem started to drift off. It was then when it heard a loud creak from the room of the mushroom house. It looked up and saw a trapdoor on the roof being lifted by a crude mecha of sorts. After lifting the trapdoor and closing it back neatly, the machine jumped down the roof and landed with a thud next to Poopy.
"Hmph! Yowi seid yu are not bad munster!" said Yue. The machine held out a hand to the golem to hop onto.
It looked up and saw to its surprise that both the bunny and Yowi were in the mecha. It climbed onto the hand of the machine. The mecha put the golem onto its top and started to run off with the sound of rumbling gears. Poopy enjoyed the gusts of wind as it sat atop.
"Wher we go Yue?" asked Yowi after a while.
"We go to dwaa-waff city!" said Yue. Since young, she liked tinkering with machines a lot. As the books said the dwarves were amazing mechanics and smiths, she wanted to learn a thing or two from them! She'd wanted to visit them years ago, but she feared that she would be looked down upon for having such a low levelled mechanic class. Now that her class was level 20, she believed that she was now ready. She hoped that the dwarves would like her mecha and not look down upon her.

"Borwing!" complained Yowi. He wanted to go in dungeons to battle powerful monsters. As cute as cats might look, most of them were still predators who loved combat at heart. "Yowi wan fight dungeon!"
"Laters! Yue build machine not Yowi!" said Yue.
Yowi hmphed but didn't retort. An hour passed as the machine continued to run. A beetle suddenly flew from the distance and landed beside Poopy. It was Buggy. Despite it wanting to laze around, it still didn't want to be separated too far away from its master.
"Eck! Wats ththat! Yucky!" squeaked Yue. She tried to swat the beetle off with the mecha hands but it clung on to the roof persistently.
"Stop! Buggy is my pet!" said Poopy.
"Buggi is gud bug?" asked Yowi.
"Yes. Buggy is a strong fighter!" said the golem. It misunderstood 'good' as battle potential.
"YUE HATE BUGGY! YUCKY BUGGY! NUH BUGGY BUG!" screamed Yue.
"No! Buggy can fight ish good!" said Yowi.
Poopy's statement made Yowi convinced that keeping the beetle was worth it. Yowi and Yue had a long argument before the reluctant bunny stopped smacking the poor scarab perched on the mecha's head. She sighed. She began to wonder if hundreds of random gross creatures that Yowi made friends with were going to perch on the mecha at the rate they were coming.
It was another hour of running when the machine started to slow down and make weird creaking noises.
"Ish robbo spoiling?" asked Yowi nervously.
"Low pouwer!" assumed Yue. She made the machine sit down, then replaced the 'battery'. The new battery was a glass bottle filled with a murky and oily brown liquid. The emptied glass bottle that served as the previous battery was kept by Yue.
"What's that brown stuff?" asked Poopy curiously. It had the impression that poop was 'brown stuff' but as perplexed that it couldn't control that 'brown stuff' at all.
"Routten panfluwer oil!" said Yue enthusiastically. Finally, someone was willing to to listen to her explanation of how her stuff worked! Yowi would never listen to her. "Furst, Yue find panfluwer! Ish big fluwer as big ash Yowi! Then Yue dry panfluwer by put on roof for month! Then Yue put fluwer and wuter in pot and boil! T-"
"Yue ish borwing!" teased Yowi.
"Grrr! Yue not talking to you! Ish talk to Poopy!" growled Yue.
"I am not interested in listening." said the golem gleefully. Now it could get back at the 'kidnapper' by annoying her!
"Hmph! Only smart dwaa-waa-warf can understand Yue!" said Yue.

Delve
Summary – Level 1: Delve is an isekai litrpg that follows an average guy who just happened to wake up in a forest one day. He wasn’t summoned to defeat the demon lord or to save the world or anything like that, at least as far as he can tell. The only creature there to greet him was a regular old squirrel. Soon enough, he meets other people, only to discover that he can’t speak the language, and that not everybody immediately trusts random pajama-wearing strangers they met in the middle of the wilderness. Things generally go downhill from there, at least until the blue boxes start appearing. Delve is a story about finding your way in a new, strange, and dangerous world. It’s about avoiding death, figuring out what the heck is going on, and trying to make some friends along the way. It’s not about getting home, so much as finding a new one. Did I mention that there will be math? Summary – Level 2: Okay, but what are you in for, really? Well, this story is supposed to be realistic, or at least, as realistic as a fantasy litrpg can be. The main character doesn’t instantly become an all-powerful god and murder-hobo his way across the universe. Delve is, at its heart, a progression fantasy, but that progression is meant to feel earned. The numbers in this story actually mean something. Everything is calculated, and if you find a rounding error, I expect you to tell me about it. That said, if math isn’t your cup of tea, there is plenty more that the story has to offer. Characters are meant to feel real, and progression isn’t only about personal power; it’s also about allies, connections, and above all, knowledge. Figuring out how the system works is a significant theme. ... What, you want more details? Okay, fine, but this is going to get a bit spoiler-y. Are you sure? Yes! Really sure? I mean, this summary is practically half as long as the first chap– Now! Okay, okay! The main character becomes a magic user, but he takes a route that is not very popular in adventurer culture, namely that of a support. There is a full magic system with various spells, skills, and abilities, but our MC decides that aura magic is the way to go, and that the only stat worth investing in is mana regeneration. Most people at the Adventurer’s Guild think that this makes him a bit of a dumbass, but he’s playing the long game. We’ll see how that works out for him, won’t we? Because of his build, the MC levels up fast, at least compared to normal people. There are no cheats, though, and he is limited in other ways. There are some clear and pretty obvious downsides to his build. That’s what makes it fun, no? Morals? Our MC has them. Again, we’ll see how that works out for him. Realism, remember? Would you be okay with killing someone and looting their body? I sure hope not. POV? The focus is on the main character, but there will be occasional varying perspectives from people around him, or involved in the events related to the main plot. It isn’t going to jump all over the place. Tech is standard medieval stasis. No smartphones, but the MC does have a technical background. Computers and their programming might be involved. There might even be a bit of uplifting down the road, who knows? Anyway, it isn’t the focus. He isn’t going to invent the gun in chapter 1 and change the face of warfare. Romance is not a major focus. Friendships are more the name of the game, though there will be some characters in romantic relationships. There is exploration, though not as much of the geographical nature as you might expect. It is more about exploration of the system and the culture. The pace is slow and detailed, sometimes verging on slice-of-life. The action is meant to be realistic and grounded in the numbers, and it is intended to have meaning beyond simply punching things until they stop moving. The general tone of the story is grey, and some parts can get quite dark. People die. Sometimes, people with names, but not anywhere near GoT level. There is plenty of light, too, though, to balance the darkness. The world is dangerous, but overcoming that danger is why we’re all here, isn’t it? Anyway, if you’ve made it this far through the summary, you clearly like words. I hope you enjoy the story! Cover by Miha Brumec Summary Updated: 2020-06-14
