“NOO! What are you doing! Get up! GET UP!” Suzy screamed into her mirror as she watched Hei lie there helplessly. Endless tears poured down her swollen eyes and she trembled, unable to understand why he had just given up after dragging himself out of the river. “I know it hurts…but please…you need to wake up now…he’s coming! Wait…what? How do I know that?”
Suddenly, she felt the shadow of what was to come fall upon her. She knew that in mere moments, if Hei did not get up, the other Hunter would appear and when that happened, he would be helpless.
“No…I have to do something…but I have no mana!” She wrung her thoughts over and over. “If only he could hear me through the mirror…but it’s a one-way connection. Wait a minute his friends!” The cute girl bounced up and suddenly closed her eyes. Speaking aloud, she whispered to the System.
“Get me, Insolence.”
“Loneliness? I’m busy, come back later…”
“SHUT THE HELL UP YOU COWARDLY DOG!”
“Ah…Loneliness? You’re not still mad about-”
“One more word and I’ll come over there! Damn the rules! I’ll personally make your spine a part of my chair! No…wait. That’s not enough. But trust me, my blood-mist works on everything. By the time I’m done with you, you’ll look more like a piece of modern art than anything resembling an Admin.”
