*rap, rap, rap*
A pale and bony hand tapped steadily on a wooden door. The hand’s owner sprouted a vile grin as the door began to open. A young man with short blue hair poked his head out of the threshold. Before him stood a tall grey-skinned man in a black leather outfit. However, the stranger’s unusual complexion and odd fashion sense were completely overshadowed by another feature. Wings. Massive black feathered wings rested on the stranger’s back. When the young man’s eyes locked onto them, the stranger unfurled his wings in a show of strength. Black feathers longer than a human hand fell around them like cherry blossoms. With his first impression complete, the stranger began to speak.
“Human-”
“-Whatever it is, I’m not interested. Good day.” The blue-haired boy cut him off in a droning tone.
Without waiting for a reply, the boy began to shut the door.
“W-Wait!” The stranger yelled. He quickly wrapped his thin fingers around the door, preventing it from being closed. “You can’t believe your eyes, right? But I will not be ignored.”
“I didn’t ignore you.” The boy replied in the same dull tone. “I clearly told you that I’m not interested. Bye.”
The boy attempted to slam the door, but the stranger stopped him effortlessly. No matter how much strength the boy used, the door would not move an inch.
“Do not panic, human.” The stranger hissed. “I don’t plan to hurt you or your family. No one else can see me, so would you please let me inside?”
“We can’t talk out here?” The boy released the door, but he did not step back.
“It is quite a sensitive subject.” The stranger’s face, which had twisted into a frown, curled back into another wicked grin. “I believe you picked up something that I dropped. A supernatural notebook known as the…”

“-Oh yea, that thing.” The boy scratched his head listlessly. “I threw it away.”
“Yes, you were too afraid to use its power and so you…” The stranger suddenly stiffened. “You…uh…threw it away?”
“Yes.”
“Where?”
“Someone’s trash bin on my way to school.”
“That’s…um.” The stranger’s wings fluttered nervously. “That’s impossible. I can sense it near you. You read the rules inside, right? No human would throw that kind of power away.”
The stranger noticed that the boy had stopped looking at him. He followed the boy’s gaze and turned around to see a garbage truck zoom by.
“Well, if they had their bin out like that, then it must be garbage day.” The boy muttered.
“HUeeeeH!?” The stranger let out something between a cry of frustration and a childish squeal.
The boy tried to surreptitiously close the door while the stranger was having an episode. However, a pale hand was thrust in his way once more.
“WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE!?” The stranger yelled, revealing a mouth full of razor-sharp teeth. “WHAT KIND OF HUMAN WOULD THROW MY NOTEBOOK IN THE GARBAGE!?”
“A normal one.” The boy blinked. “I’m a normal human.”
“Then you can stay that way for the rest of your life!” The stranger wailed as he took off into the sky.
The boy passively watched a black speck move towards the city dump at a frightening speed. Once it was out of sight, he closed the door with a sigh.
“I intend to.”

Kingdom of Tyr (Original)
This fiction has been concluded as of the end of Book 1, the portion of the story posted here. There will be a complete rewrite as a separate fiction in the future to make the system more consistent and add more to the world while expanding on the events within this fiction. This rewrite will begin eventually, posted as a separate story. Colt, twelve, is walking home from school when he's approached by another boy dressed oddly, who asks him - theoretically - about living in another world. After asking some information about the theoretical other world, Colt says he'd probably prefer to live there, to get away from the problems he has on Earth. Once Colt confirms that, he finds himself in an abandoned city, the other boy revealing himself to be a god, who then offers to train Colt until he can stand on his own and live by himself. After a couple of months, the god sends Colt off for greater training, to learn to use both Aura and Mana, with his only instructions being to return every now and then to visit, and to make friends and have lots of fun. This story follows Colt, a boy named Tyler he meets in the new city, and their journey to growing stronger, having fun, and striving to beat each other. Note: this story is not intended to be professional-quality, and it does draw inspiration from many sources. That said, it is its own story, in its own world. It has never been and never will be edited. It will also have multiple PoV's, starting somewhere after Chapter 8.

A leader pursues him, obsessed with his identity.
