《Beast Cultivating System》Chapter 5 - Training in Devil's Peak

A week has passed since Dana fought the Firefox and now she is already at Rank Four Body Refining Realm.
After, the experience of fighting the Firefox she knew in comparison towards the Spirit Beasts which inhabit this Forest is much more superior regarding battle experience.
As spirit beasts are aware of their strengths and weakness through constant battles, they developed their fighting style based on the strengths they possess.
So, therefore, Dana spent her time focusing on developing her own fighting style, while repeatedly hunting many spirit beasts of similar rank towards her or one rank higher to refine her technique.
After killing a spirit beast, she will take its remains towards her den for consumption, satisfying the hunger caused by the large expenditure of energy used in hunting.
Subsequently, she will cultivate until she feels hungry again, and once again goes out to hunt a spirit beast.
With this strenuous practice, Dana continuously improved rapidly until unlike previously in which she struggled against facing a beast one rank higher than her, alongside having a complete reliance on her natural abilities in being much superior, she can now deal with beasts which are One Rank above her with relative ease.
Although she still couldn't be compared to the average spirit beast regarding battle experience, she had improved tremendously from the previous her.
Dana also used more of the Frost Wyvern's natural abilities in poison, as it is one of the Frost Wyvern's strongest assets, and it would be a complete waste if she doesn't exploit it.
A Frost Wyvern's poison also plays a large factor in it having such a deadly reputation among Rare Bloodline Ranked Beasts, as a Frost Wyvern's Poison is one of the strongest among Rare Bloodline type beasts making them a feared race with few methods of resisting such a horrifying poison.
While training her bloodline abilities alongside her battle style, it increased her compatibility of using both alongside each other, which complimented her making it much easier to kill spirit beasts.
With her cultivation improving, additionally feasting daily on spirit beasts her size increased at a rapid rate until eventually after this week she became the size of a large horse.
After killing numerous spirit beasts this week, which either have similar level cultivation or is few ranks higher than herself, she had gathered 100 soul points from the system.
At the moment she does not want to spend any of her soul points as the only options available for a bunch of cheap medical pills, with the addition of even weapons for the use of humans, which made her tremble in the excitement of having the hope of becoming human again.
Although she enjoyed being a spirit beast, it has become lonely for her. As human are social creatures, even though she wasn't the sociable type in her previous life, she still misses individuals to talk to.

When she asked the system of this possibility, it replied that she could unlock a human form in the later stages of her cultivation, which eventually made her very pleased at the thought of joining civilisation again.
With this new-found confidence on the increase of cultivation level and battle ability, she decided that she will now leave this area and attempt to fight spirit beasts which are Rank 6 Body Refining realm.
While grinning at the thought of a fierce battle, she realised that she is a becoming a battle maniac.
After the first few encounters engaging spirit beasts, she discerned that she seemed to improve at a rapid pace showing she appears to possess a great talent for it.
In her previous life, she had done many extreme sports for the thrill of it and discovered that battling spirit beasts gave her a similar feeling compared to skydiving from 18,000 ft.
With her newfound assurance in her strength, she searched for a Rank Six spirit beast hoping to gain her first experience in fighting a beast which is Two Ranks above her.
Impatiently Dana sprinted further into the depth of the forest after a few skirmishes with some Rank Four Body Refining beasts which she efficiently dealt with accordingly.
Eventually, after going deeper and deeper within the forest, she came across a giant bear, which was twice the size of the largest bear on Earth in her previous life.
"System, what type of Spirit Beast is that?" Dana pondered.
[Host, that is an Iron Bear. A strong spirit beast with earth and metal Qi, this one looks like a variant as it has grey tattoos in its fur. This shows it has inherited dual attributes of both Earth and Metal Qi, this will give it an even more horrifying defence and strength compared to a regular Earth Bear with a common bloodline.]
"What is a variant bloodline, also do they contain more soul points than a usual common bloodline?"
[Yes, as it is naturally stronger than usual. This creature is worth 20 soul points from the System, as it has Seventh Rank Body Refining Cultivation alongside a Common Variant Ranked Bloodline, making it worth more soul points of an ordinary beast within its level.]
After she heard the System, Dana was astonished, 20 soul points?
Her gains for hunting Spirit Beasts for an entire weak was only 100 which primarily consisted of beasts which were her level, it seems like a beast containing a bloodline makes a large contribution towards its value in soul points.
While hesitating to engage the Iron bear in a face-face confrontation directly, she knew she may currently yet match which is presently three cultivation levels higher with the additional challenge of overcoming the first beast she witnessed with a bloodline.

Suddenly a fierce roar erupted from the forest interrupting Dana's thoughts.
Instantly, Dana's muscles tensed, she sneakily hid behind a large boulder taking a peek at what type of beast created such a roar, upon seeing the appearance of the creature it was a large Tiger with Red and Orange stripes, similar to the Iron Bear it was a Level Seven Body Refining spirit beast.
Seeing another beast at the same level as the Iron Bear, Dana asked the System to identify the new creature in front of her additionally.
[Host, this is additionally a spirit beast with a variant common bloodline called a Blaze Tiger, but beast contains Fire and Air attributed Qi. The reason for this Tiger is here is to challenge the bear to increase the side of its territory alongside it wishes to devour the Iron Bear to ascend to become a Ranked Eight Body Refining beast.]
After the system's message finished, the Tiger leapt onto the Iron Bear's back, with astonishing speed.
She noticed the Air Qi seemed to gather around the Tiger as it moved, giving it bursts of speed as it launches strikes.
The fire Qi gathered around its fangs bites into the Iron bear's neck.
Surprisingly, that fierce attack only left only a minor wound on the Iron Bear, hardly causing any damage towards it at all.
Angered, the Iron Bear shook its body furiously, attempting to throw the Blaze Tiger which was clinging to its back off.
However, this method bear was soon proven to be ineffective as the Blaze Tiger repetitively launched strikes towards the Iron Bear, nimbly dodging each of the Iron Bears attacks when it comes within range.
Although the Iron Bear's defence is extraordinary, the Blaze Tiger cleanly lands a large number of attacks on the Bear, each inflicting small wounds.
Knowing this was not the solution to its problem the Iron Bear launched its bloodline ability, causing the Metal Qi to gather forming spikes, releasing the attacks the spikes launched in all directions causing the Blaze Tiger unable to evade every one of the attacks, resulting in one of the spikes impacting the Blaze tiger, sending it tumbling.
Although a Blaze tiger had extraordinary offensive capabilities, its defence was poor, this was demonstrated with just that one attack from the Iron Bear leaving a fierce wound after that one exchange.
The Iron Bear wasn't faring much better itself as wounds covered the entirety of its body.
Knowing this was an opportunity to take both beasts down without exerting any effort, she waited until both beasts fought until they fell to the floor motionless heavily injured, breathing shallowly, I knew the chances of me beating a Level Seven beast with uncommon bloodline were few so this was a great opportunity for me.
Dana immediately leapt towards them using her most horrifying attack Frost Poison Breath.
Usually, these beasts will remain unaffected by either getting out of the way or having the protection of Qi under such an attack.
However, as they both just engaged in a vicious battle, they had no Qi left making them entirely defenceless for resist.
As soon as the attack was launched panic emerged in both of their eyes, which soon turned into a lifeless look as they both succumbed to the poison.
Grinning because of her large gains of soul points, she looked upon the two beasts a look of hunger within her eyes. I wonder how these beasts taste?
Looking at the Bear and Tiger, she figured they'd be a delicacy with the amount of meat on both beasts including the Rank Of Cultivation. Dana found that the higher cultivation of the beast, the more delicious it taste to her! After eating countless beats raw it became so normal for Dana, that she was no longer even slightly hesitant of eating beasts. However, just as she was about to feast upon the carcasses.
[Host, would you like to absorb their bloodlines for soul points? As these are two variant unique bloodlines they are both worth 250 soul points each.]
Dana replied 'Yes' without much thought, these bloodlines were to low levelled for her compared to his powerful bloodline. Not to mention only a bloodline containing Dragon heritage will be useful for her, so these bloodlines only use is points in her opinion.
Afterall at the end of the day, her aim is to achieve a True Dragon Bloodline! So, beasts containing other bloodlines will be of no use towards her.
Now satisfied that she has gained an additional 500 points alongside the points of killing both beasts, she turned towards the two bodies of the Seventh Rank Beast.
'Hmm, I better eat these beasts before another beast comes here smelling the blood, after eating my fill I will go to a quiet area to cultivate and have a look within the store to see if I can purchase anything with the current amount of soul points I have in possession,' Dana thought.
Without wasting any more time, Dana happily began feasting on the beasts.
