《Isekai Gundam (Reboot)》Episode 131: The Final Battle (Part 3)

The forces of Arkhan surged forth and into the breaches made by the supremely oversized cannons that had cut deep holes into the FGR asteroid base. Arkhan himself led a unit comprised of all the RX-0 units, with the overwhelmingly overpowered ‘Newtype Space Magic Fuckery’ of the Unicorn, Banshee and Phoenix displayed for all to see. Arkhan’s personal powered armor had once again been refitted, now sporting a full-body Psychoframe, an I-Field Generator, six arms (each with a beam gun within their palms), two Great Heat Axes, one Beam Magnum Rifle, leg mounted rocket pods and so much more, and now had a far easier time rampaging throughout his targeted area than before. ‘Newtype Space Magic Fuckery’ tended to make things easier for those who had it on their side, after all.
As multiple Neo Zeongs and Beta Azeirus, among other Mobile Armor Golems, laid down heavy and withering covering fire, Arkhan led his creations from the front and into the damaged asteroid base. As he took a look back at the two armadas behind him, he watched as his force began to surround the base and make certain that no one could escape while the biofleet of Zeyhris began to slowly approach the enemy stronghold. As the bioships got close enough, they extended long, thick and durable tendrils towards and onto the fortress itself and began to deposit the bioforms of the Swarm upon the base’s surface and inside the halls of the structure itself.
“Our allies seem to be trying to beat us to the punch!” Arkhan yelled out to his creations. “Are we going to let them steal the glory we so rightfully deserve?!”
“Sir! No, Sir!” was the immediate response, and the distance between the Mobile Suit Golems and the space fortress was closed even faster. Finally, Arkhan and his creations reached the surface of the station and began their bloody work with the fullest and greatest zeal. The holes carved into the base by the guns and missiles of the Arcadian fleet were exploited to no end as MSGs hurried through and began to sweep the interior of the small moon-sized fortress. Arkhan, for one, was half expecting that a station of this size would be armed to the teeth, but instead he was once again disappointed in the quality of his enemy. Sure, there were sentry guns, but they were not automated and were instead either remotely controlled or fully crewed.

“Such a waste…” Arkhan muttered as he gunned down another heavy blaster gun crew with a single well-placed missile. “You really should have realized the value of at least decently-intelligent machines. Instead, you throw flesh and blood bodies at the problem and hope they can take care of it. You can’t replace your men as easily as I can with my own soldiers, so try to at least safeguard your people, you absolute ass-hats!”
Arkhan was not amused by the lack of thought behind the arrangement of defenses that he faced. It seemed that the intel was indeed correct in its conclusion that this base was not intended to be an active combat zone, despite being labeled as a ‘fortress’ in the FGR documents. Really, the only thing truly defending it was the rocky surface of the asteroid it had been built into, and even that could be disposed of with the proper application of force.
But, while Arkhan may have had time enough to be very cross with how easy things were, he felt that he did not have the patience to wait around for the Swarm to beat him and his to the punch.
“Full steam ahead, everyone! No rest for the wicked! Push onwards and claim their last bastion of resistance! We’re almost there!”
Arkhan’s words of encouragement did not fall on deaf ears, and the MSGs pushed even harder than before. Soon, the end was in sight and the majority of the final holdout had been taken with only a few casualties. The last hidey-hole, the command deck, was just before them, but Arkhan would not stand around and wait for those within to willingly expose themselves.
“Take aim!” he yelled as he raised his powered armor’s six arms, each carrying at least one Beam Magnum Rifle, five of which he had summoned specifically for this purpose. The three RX-0 MSGs took aim as well, and paused for dramatic effect before shouting, “Fire!” and unleashing hell on the poor bulkhead door before him and his creations. The supercharged Beam Rifles not only melted a hole in the door, the force of the impact nearly tore it off its hinges as the particle beams hit it with such incredible force that the metal had only just enough time to buckle from the hit before melting away due to the heat.

Arkhan whistled to show how impressed he was with the power his ‘toys’ had displayed as he stowed his six Beam Magnum Rifles away and armed his arms with a mix of Heat weapons and Beam weapons. With a shout of “Forward unto the breach!” he and his bodyguards charged in, only to be met with silence. Arkhan looked around and saw something that upset him dearly. The cowards who had holed themselves up in the command deck had all taken their own lives, perhaps as a way of giving a final middle finger to Arcadia before accepting their fate.
Arkhan sighed in disgust and disappointment as he walked around the command deck, looking for anyone who could have survived the mass suicide, but he found no one remaining who was not deader than a doornail and stiffer than a two-by-four made of petrified wood. Accepting that he would not get to see the looks on the faces of his defeated foes, Arkhan gave the orders he had planned on giving ever since he learned of this place. Mining teams entered and set to work digging holes in the structure of the base, filling them with high-yield explosives, and covering their deposits with quick-dry concrete.
Three days later, and the two armadas watched as the switch was flipped and the last bastion of resistance went up like the Fourth of July. As the light of a thousand, thousand miniature suns faded into the void, it was clear to everyone that, for the first time in ages, there was a long awaited lasting peace fast approaching and a grand and glorious golden age coming over the horizon.

A Queen of Ruins
Some people just want to watch the world burn. I'm not one of those people. Some people see the world as something to be saved, and brought to heights never before imagined. Again, not me. What kind of person am I? I'm a Queen, plain and simple. Lots of people, noble and commoner alike, often complain about life being a cruel mistress, or something similar. When I hear those complaints, I can only laugh, or look at them in contempt. Life is simple, you only need to let yourself take the path you are meant for. Me, I was born a bastard, lived with my mostly sadistic half-siblings, among people who thought I was naturally inferior. And look at me now. *********** I do not claim ownership of the picture
