《Isekai Gundam (Reboot)》Episode 69: Purgation vs. Survival (Part 4)

‘Here be dragons’ is a generic line that written on maps to signify that danger is in a specific place for various reasons. Well, in this case ‘Here be dragons’ would be a quite literal thing to put on a map of the Solaris System. Asharia, in all her kaiju glory, was closing on the 30 or so ships left in action on the left side of the Angel’s formation. As she grew closer and closer, more and more of Arcadia’s finest strike craft crews (living and mechanical) decided it would be unwise to stick around and let the very angry dragoness have a chance of erasing them accidentally. No sooner had they vacated the immediate premises, Asharia’s five heads opened their mouths wide and let fly a storm of pure elemental magic.
Fire hotter than the stars turned ships to dust while icy magic cold enough to near absolute zero caused warships to shatter like dropped glass. Acidic and corrosive energy turned some ships into decaying wrecks while tempestuous winds (that somehow existed in a near vacuum thanks to magic) sliced others like a master chef’s knife fileting a fish. Huge bolts of electricity arced from her five gaping maws and lances of brilliant white light flew onwards alongside spheres of the deepest darkness.
Every element of magic in existence was being used not like a scalpel but like an artillery shell. There was no need for accuracy when you hit everything in front of you, so why bother focusing the fire? With each moment that passed more of the Holy Union’s forces were completely obliterated and more damage was incurred by the gigantic flagship that the Angels had such pride in. By the time half a minute had passed since her assault began there was nothing left of the rest of the Angels’ ‘Golden Armada’ save for the flagship itself. This was not to say that it emerged unharmed, as its shields were long since used up it now sported countless scars from the onslaught that Asharia had let loose on it.
Its right side was mostly melted due to the Colony Laser, its left side was in even worse shape and looked like someone had taken every possible means to trash its once shiny white and gold exterior. It was like a beautiful custom made sports car that had run afoul of a gang of highly resourceful vandals, whatever majesty it once inspired with its detailed exterior was gone and replaced with something that no one would want to touch.

Unfortunately, all of this did not stop the weapon that ran most of its length from being just a few moments away from firing.
Unfortunately for the High Command of the Angelus Holy Union on board, Asharia wasn’t done.
Just moments before the weapon fired Asharia’s massive body hit the ‘Final Judgment’ from its left side. Impacting so close to the front of the vessel that it sent the ship careening into a hard right and, mere moments after the cylinder of death that once covered a good chunk of Arcadia’s fleet was pointed away from said fleet, the front of the Angels’ flagship emitted a blast of immense proportions. The beam moved along with the ship it came from, sweeping across empty space and going all the way to just above the very surface of the system’s star.
Arkhan, after seeing the size and scope of that weapon and realizing that, if it did hit where intended, would have not only destroyed his forces but also would have partially (if not fully) glassed Gaia itself could only gaze on from the bridge as his kaiju of a wife tore into the now crippled enemy ship.
“Should we send her help? Those guns look like they are starting to come back online. If she gets hit, she could…”
Arkhan shook his head at the words of one of the bridge crew.
“And how exactly would we be of any help? Sending anything close to those two is a death sentence for the unlucky souls we would choose for the job. No, this is a battle of titans, and we have no place to interfere without being utterly destroyed.”
As the crew watched the massive superdreadnought and the space-kaiju duke it out, someone chimed up.
“Why don’t we just launch a few shots from our own guns. It may distract the Angels just enough to…”
“No. Let them fight.”
“But!”
“NO. Let. Them. Fight.”
Consigning themselves to being spectators for the last part of their most dangerous fight, everyone from the Arcadian military held their breath as the two titans fought. They were prepared to watch in silence as Arkhan thought to himself.
“It’s a good thing we record every fight we get into. Can’t say I would like to face the mob and try and tell them that they missed an actual kaiju fight. This shit would make an awesome movie, and I am sure that this whole thing will become a movie, if not a tv show.”

…
Claws and fangs dug into the ever more damaged hull of the ‘Final Judgment’ even as its massive weapons unloaded round after round into the monster that clung to it. With every swipe of her talons chunks of metal and machinery flew off into space and every time her five jaws bit down multitudes died, and the superdreadnought came that much closer to having its innards shredded. Each time she opened her mouths to begin another bite, Asharia would let loose a chaotic mix of elemental magic at point blank range directly into the insides of the massive vessel before she would bite down once again.
Claw and tooth and magic brought the superdreadnought ever closer to a final end. It could be considered poetic irony that the beings that sealed her ages ago were now at her mercy, of which she had none. She had made a blunder, however; transforming into her true form while angry as all hell did nothing to help her retain her mental faculties and instead did the opposite. But in all fairness, it had been ages since she last used her power in anger, and she had actually forgotten about the downsides of using her full power.
The worst of which was that she did not truly have an upper limit to how powerful she could become.
Every time she grew more powerful her size would increase. Ages past when she was so very young, her true form was the size of a large middle-class house. Ages later it became big enough to be a city block, and later she became the size she was during her slumber. She was constantly growing bigger and more powerful, and the only reason she was not this big previously was due to her size never changing while she was in her true form. Once she changed back, however, the power she had would increase, as would her true form’s size.
She had forgotten that she had no ‘full power’ or ‘true size’, as it was theoretically possible for her to become the size of a galaxy or even a universe if she had enough time to grow. These factors and more were why no matter how much destruction was leveled at her by the Angels, there was no wounding her. It was a fight between Godzilla and a giant tin can, and the Godzilla in question had a whole lot of can openers to use. There was no stopping her rampage until she herself was good and done, which was sooner than everyone expected.
As the last bits of power fizzled out inside the Angels’ greatest weapon, Asharia’s eyes began to close and her body began to shift to her more human form. Not missing a beat, Arkhan ordered his creations to move in and ‘rescue’ her from her predicament. They were stopped by the arrival of something truly bizarre that flew out in an unwieldly way from inside the totaled superdreadnought. It had the vague shape of a Mobile Suit Golem in ‘real mode’ but was more along the lines of a mono-eyed knockoff Gundam lookalike that was the result of a child’s arts and crafts project. It was so out of the ordinary that it put everyone off by its mere presence.
It screamed incoherently on a wideband hail as it rushed towards the approaching forces of Arkhan, who kept their distance until it actually started talking in an understandable way.
“Damn xenos filth! Fight me like a civilized being, not like the primitive shit that you are! For the Holy Union!”
As the Not-Gundam kept everyone’s attention on itself, a single transport fled the wrecked titan of a ship. The leaders of the Angelus Holy Union, the very people who preached ‘death before dishonor’, had chosen dishonor over death. They ran back to their nation with their nonexistent tails between their legs like the cowards they really were, leaving those unfortunate enough to still be alive on the massive wreck to face death, capture or worse.

The Forgotten One
Hey there everbody. This will be my second upload to Roll 20. Unfortunately I wasn't able to continue my previous one due to life and what not but I'm now back and have a some what new idea I've been kicking around for years. We'll see if i head back to my other fiction due to having things calming down. And like always I'm open to constructive critisims. Any way on to the synopsis. The world as we know it is gone. Torn from everyone due to two major things. First and foremost a biologica lweapon that no one wanted to take credit for after it was released and couldn't be stopped (a zombie virus of sorts) and the way that many nations thought to stop it from spreading was to destory everything they could ofcourse that didn't include them selves. So there the world was in a mexican standoff with hundreds of countries with hundreds of nuclear weapons just dareing one another to make the first move. Once again no one knew who started it but it didn't matter once it started the world was doomed. In an attempt to save people some scientists began working on a way to cryogenically frezze people so they could surive the on coming armegedon. The problem was before they could begin testing it on humnas the nukes began launching. In a bid to save them selves a family gave their youngest son to the scientists as a test subject. He had already been infected by the virus weeks before the nukes were being threatened and still retained his humanitiy. After being betrayed by his family after telling them of his ability to stay him self and a few things the bio weapon had changed in him physically he was sedated with enough drugs to kill a whole pride of elephants and forced to take part in the experiment. The last thing he remembers was watching his world close around him (his cryo pod) and his family's face of sadness but also hope in the fact that them betraying him may give them a chance to live. This is a fan fiction in which many aspects of one of my favorite games will be quiet prevelent. It will be obvious to those who have played it but for those who may not the game i'm going to be baseing some of the things in this novel is called Prototype. And no I do not own the rights to the cover. If the creater would like for me to pull it down please messege me.
