《Isekai Gundam (Reboot)》Episode 13: Not a Battle, Just a Curbstomp (Part 2)

As the barrage of fire from the Gallops and Dabudes ended, the untouched army of Mobile Suit Golems advanced towards the broken remains of the fortress. During the barrage from the Gallops and Dabudes, a few shells had either overshot their targets or were angled poorly and ‘skipped’ across the ground and had impacted the fortress. This did not concern either Arkhan or his army, as they intended to dismantle the fortress anyway and use its position as a place to build a more durable fortress out of reinforced concrete and other materials. However, Arkhan had wanted the Dungeon Core to remain intact so that he could assume control of it once the current Dungeon Master had kicked the bucket.
Not only would becoming Dungeon Master make him practically immortal, it would also allow him to keep the Uncharted Lands as the chaotic mess that they were which would prevent his enemies from pursuing him. There were various other benefits, but the only real problem he knew he would face and have to deal with is that he could never leave the dungeon/ Uncharted Lands. Arkhan reasoned that if he could build a cozy and secure enough fortress, he would never NEED to leave and could simply send proxies out in his stead.
But at the current moment, the fist thought in Arkhan’s mind was the quick and efficient destruction of the Dungeon Master before it’s reinforcements arrived. He had already directed the Gallops, Dabudes Zakrellos, Rick Doms, Zaku Tanks and Zaku Cannons to prepare for the eventual arrival of the monster reinforcements. The 5 Zakrellos had already sped off toward the distant, onrushing tide of various monsters and had begun to fire into the throngs of monsters without worrying about accuracy.
Occasionally they would hug the ground as they sped through the air, using their Heat Natas to shred anything on it’ sides while using its body as a 25-meter-long, 185-ton battering ram traveling at near Mach 1. The Rick Doms were set up so that they could fire from a high position and avoid the ranged attacks of the monster on the ground and while the Zaku Cannons were equipped with their 18 mm artillery cannon and 12 mm machine guns, the Zaku Tanks had equipped themselves with missiles and G3 Nerve Gas Grenades. The best part about being machines in war is the ability to use gas, fire and other such weapons without worrying about inhaling anything, after all...

As the onrushing horde was being thinned out by the Zakrellos and the eventual bombardment by the Land Battleships, Rick Doms, Zaku Tanks and Zaku Cannons, there was fierce room to room fighting going on in the damaged stone fortress that housed not only the Dungeon Master, but the Goblins who had fled the earlier engagement. In such confined spaces the use of G3 Nerve Gas would have been extremely effective, however after using it the wind currents changed and blew the gas out of the fortress. To be fair, they had successfully gassed a small portion of the fortress, but the Dungeon Master had realized what was going on and rendered the gas useless from that point onwards.
Thus, the remains of the fortress became more and more damaged as the struggle continued, ultimately devolving into what the Wehrmacht referred to as a ‘Rattenkreig’. Every room had to be immolated with fire every 15 minutes just to keep Goblins from popping out of hidden tunnels or being spawned in the rear. Also, the myriad traps in this fortress claimed the functionality of over 1.32% of the invading force. While that may not seem like a lot, 1.32% of over 10 Million is quite a large number. As the Mobile Suit Golems surged deeper into the depth of a fortress that seemed to have 40 basement levels, their patience with this bastard DM (Dungeon Master) was beginning to grow awfully thin.
At each new underground level, more and more of them voiced their displeasure and desire to kill the idiot who invented stairs. “Once we kill the current DM, our Glorious Creator will add elevators and teleportation platforms!” This promise made by a Zaku II Commander Type named Gihren Zabi became a rallying cry that spurred the forces of Arkhan onwards unto the breach.

Thus, the invading force advanced under the rather comical battle cry of, “FOR ELEVATORS AND TELEPORTATION!”
….
….
A cloaked figure on the 51st floor of the dungeon was nearly soiling itself due to panic. The invading force had been reduced by 1.5% but were still pushing deeper and deeper. Worse yet, their deaths added no power to the Dungeon. Instead of being absorbed by the Dungeon, they simply exploded. Even though the dungeon known as the Uncharted Lands was a massive place, the power he had gained came from the long generations of monsters who had migrated to the dungeon but now could not leave.
These monsters, the ones now being repulsed by the weird things on the surface were not His creations and would not obey His instructions. The only reason they were coming here is because he modified his Dungeon to direct them here as a last resort. The monsters were not powerful to break the dungeon on their own and were no match to his army of Superior Beings, of which he was a member. But now his last hope was being crushed on the surface and the angry metal people were only a few rooms away from his chambers.
He had no choice anymore, he had to roll the dice and sacrifice all the power he had accumulated over the past 1000 years in a gamble that would either let him survive or would doom him to death. Activating his Dungeon Control Panel, he channeled his massive stockpile of Dungeon Points into the Dungeon Lottery. If his luck was good, he would get a defender that could crush his foes, if not he would be left high and dry.
He rolled the dice and his summon began to materialize in front of him with a massive ball of light at the same time the doors to his chamber burst open and a flood of Mobile Suit Golems poured in, stopping only to gaze in apprehension at the summoning going on in front of them.
As the wind from the overcharged summon blew, the cloak on the shadowy figure flew off and the malicious cackling of a unhuman fiend bellowed forth from the Dungeon Master.
“Gigigigigi! Now, invaders! Face the might of my greatest guardian!” The Goblin Dungeon Master yelled at the top of his lungs.
