《Isekai Gundam (Reboot)》Episode 1: Beginning a New Life
Advertisement
I love Gundam. Not in a fanatical way, as I just love the Universal Century models, shows, and OVAs. I was in love with almost all of it, from ‘Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin’ to the end of the ‘Mobile Suit Gundam: Unicorn’ show. I never really cared for the F91, Victory and Crossbone series and Lord knows how I hated G-Savior. I worked a decent 9 - 5 job and made enough money to indulge my hobby of building U.C. (Universal Century) models. I still had several kits in my backlog to do when I went out to my nearby hobby shop for some extra supplies.
Why am I saying this all in past tense? It is simple; I died. How did I die? Well, to be honest, I am not sure I even died to begin with. I assume that I died, as I am currently a week-old baby in a house that looks like it came out of the middle ages. If I were a gambling man, I would bet on this being one of those standard ‘Isekai’ things that were all the rage for web novels and light novels back before I became this baby. I was worried at first because the infant mortality rate of children was quite high in the middle ages. Thankfully, it seems that not all hope is lost as magic seems to be a thing here. It was only a day ago when I managed to catch a glimpse of my father speaking what I thought was a prayer, only for a small flame to appear in his hand. I hope I have magic powers too. I don’t know any spells, and my newborn ears and eyes might have just been playing tricks on me due to me being a 30-year-old man in a week-old newborn’s body. I don’t know how magic works, so I might as well try out the standard template of reincarnation novels.

{Status!}
Is what I thought to myself. It’s not like I can speak with a newborn body after all.
And suddenly, in front of my eyes.

If I were Joseph Joestar, this is the point where I would be screaming, “Oh, My God!” or “Holy Shit!”. I honestly can’t believe it worked! Some of the stats and skills look a bit wonky though. But I will just write it off as me being a reincarnated person who slogged his way through college. These ‘Generate Mobile Suit Golem’, ‘Generate Mobile Suit Golem Equipment’, 'Customize Mobile Suit Golem' and 'Mobile Suit Golem Hangar' skills look interesting though…
If my knowledge of Isekai tropes serve, then by activating Appraisal on my skills should let me see what they can do.
{Here goes nothing, Appraisal!}
Generate Mobile suit Golem – Creates a Mobile Suit Golem that obeys the commands of the summoner. Requires at least 10 mana to use. The number of active units is determined by Intelligence (100 Mobile Suit Golems for every 5 levels or 10 Intelligence (Subject to change if/when when Skill Levels Up)). When summoned, Mana will be reserved until Mobile Suit Golem has been dismissed. Mobile Suit Golems automatically regenerate from damage when placed in Mobile Suit Golem Hangar.

This was about what I was expecting, if not more. I remembered my Status and appraisal skills used 1 Mana per usage and that my base mana was 10. Therefore, my current mana should be 8 right now. It would be quite vexing if I were to be stuck with 10 mana for the rest of my life, so I will have to see if there is something I can do to raise my total mana points. But for now, I am just a weak baby, and a hungry one at that. I tried making some noise and my mother came over to me.
As ashamed as I am to be feeding like this, the technology level is that of the middle ages, so there is no baby formula or baby bottles (that I know of). I will have to swallow my discomfort with what I am doing for now.
Oh, father just came home with another child.
While feeding, I can overhear their conversation.
NANI?! It’s possible to raise your stats though training, including mana points?!
Sweet! Now all I must do is expend all my mana as often as possible and I will be on the fast track to building an army of Mobile Suits. Although, the numbers on the equipment don’t add up unless the Mobile Suit Golems themselves are human sized or slightly larger/ smaller.
Ah, well. Now that I finished feeding and am back in my crib it’s time to spam Status and Appraisal!

Most people think having powers would be amazing. Not Nate. If he had it his way, he’d never use them and pretend they weren’t there. His powers, though, seem to have other ideas. Uncontrolled powers sound problematic on their own, but when people can destroy entire city blocks with a wayward glance, they become a whole new issue entirely. Nate has always felt like he’s had wary eyes watching him, waiting for him to slip up. So far, he’s managed to just barely keep his head down, but when his powers force him to step into the spotlight, he finds himself caught up in the one life he never wanted; heroism. Now, will he find a way to accept the powers he blames for all his problems, or will he crumble under the pressure? Note: I primarily upload on my website on Sundays . I'll upload here regularly up to a day after the chapters go live on the main site. Vote for aka on TopWebFiction! Feel free to join the aka Discord. DEATH QUEST
You are Hayden Waltess. You have no skills, no money, one family member, and a few good friends. If you don't find a way to make six hundred golden claws within the next forty eight hours, your little sister Shale is going to die. Steal the money? You can't break wards, and you don't know anyone who can. Beg for it? You live in Lecliss, the corrupt capital city of Raun. Beggars pave the roads. No one will notice an extra pebble. Earn it? Not through any normal job. You'd be lucky to make even a single golden claw in a week. No. There's only one way to make that kind of money in time. In a corner of the adventurer's guild lit by a dim lantern, three long, dusty, ragged pieces of parchment are pinned to a huge board on the wall. Each piece of parchment has an enormous sum of money written in bold at the top, an illustration in the center, and then countless names of adventurers below, each name written in a different hand, each invariably crossed out with a thin red line. The sign above the board reads: DEATH QUESTS An interactive action/adventure story with game-like and horror elements, set in the same universe as my other story, Gattican Drive. You can also read it on webnovel. Updates once every three days (unless it doesn't)

How to Make a Wand
When mage Magdala Gallus gets suspended from Magisterium for making explosives instead of focusing her rare alchemical skills on more productive pursuits, her mother ships her off to her uncle, the absent-minded but brilliant Lord Kalan, as punishment. Hard at work creating an instrument capable of converting magic, her uncle soon draws Magdala into his quest for a dragon scale—the only thing that can prove his theory that magic is the same for everyone. However, as Magdala, Lord Kalan, and Lord Kalan’s unusual apprentice, Dwayne, soon realize, it’s an impossible mission. With bandits populating the region where the dangerous creatures live and a pair of mercenaries who aren’t who they seem, it will take more than their magic to find and kill a dragon . . . and stay alive.
