Chapter 13: Spirit Force Eruption

It didn’t take too long for the event that Yulian was simultaneously dreading and eagerly awaiting for to happen.

‘Hong!’ A rumbling sound sounded in his mind as the Spirit Force condensed in his brain violently erupted and began revolving. Yulian’s head began aching.

Yulian ignored the headache and circulated the Genetic Energy within his body, trying to figure if any changes occurred in his body. Immediately, Yulian felt as if countless pins had been pricked over his body. After only a moment, the Genetic Energy in the surroundings was crazily drawn into his body!

All the pores on his body had been forced open, and Genetic Energy furiously forced itself through every opening in his body. Yulian immediately began circulating the Spirit Immersion technique, and the Genetic Energy circulated through his meridian network and settled into his Dantian.

The Genetic Energy was extremely pure and easy to control. Yulian continued to draw the energy to his Dantian as he operated the Spirit Immersion technique. The Genetic Energy in his Dantian was condensed into an even purer form. The faint white energy thickened and took on a gold tone as Yulian cultivated.

Yulian had never cultivated the Spirit Immersion technique for such a long time before. As he circulated the Genetic Energy through his meridians, he observed the situation in his Dantian. In the extreme centre of his Dantian, a pure golden dot was spinning, expanding as it slowly absorbed energy. It was surrounded by a thick pure white fluid. The fluid in the centre of the Dantian was the densest, losing color and density as it expanded outwards. On the outer edges of his Dantian, a slimy grey fluid was stagnating.

Yulian understood that the color and density of the fluid symbolized the purity of his Genetic Energy. Taking a chance, he increased the revolution of Genetic Energy in his Dantian by pushing the Spirit Immersion technique to its limits. The pure energy in the core of the Dantian was absorbed into the golden dot, expanding it while the impure energy was blown out. Yulian immediately controlled the impure energy, circulating it through the meridians coursing through his body. From the core to the shoulders, to the elbows, to the fists and finally out through a thunderous punch! The impure energy was used to cultivate the Nine Stage Thunder Blade!

Yulian was currently training the two techniques- Spirit Immersion and Nine Stage Thunder Blade- simultaneously. This would have been impossible if not for his ability to split his mind. Yulian’s attention was split between the thundering punches shot out from his fists and the energy circulating through his meridians. Energy was quickly absorbed into him and quickly expelled from him. It was like inhaling and exhaling air to meditate, but with Genetic Energy taking the place of air. Like this, it was unsurprising when Yulian entered a meditative state in a short while.

Yulian’s mind explored the intricacies and mysteries of the Spirit Immersion technique, while Yulian’s body carried out the motions of circulating Genetic Energy to activate the two techniques. The Spirit Immersion technique was a free cultivation technique downloaded off the internet, and wasn’t of much significance. But now, Yulian realized that it was profounder than he had ever expected it to be!

Fortunately, it was still a Foundation cultivation technique. Its mysteries were not too difficult to comprehend. In reality, in terms of difficulty in comprehension, the Nine Stage Thunder Blade ranked far above it!

As Yulian’s mind was immersed into comprehending the Spirit Immersion technique, the rate of Genetic Energy being absorbed into the Dantian kept on rising. As the Genetic Energy in his body reached a certain point, the bottleneck Yulian was stuck under was pierced through. Yulian broke through! He was now officially a Fighter!

Yulian’s Spirit Force was too strong, and hence could not be restricted by his weak body. Now that his body was strengthened, the wild, raging Spirit Force should have begun calming down. However opposite to expectations, it grew wilder. Moreover the Genetic Energy being absorbed into his body did not slow down. Instead, the Genetic Energy absorption multiplied!

The golden dot in Yulian’s Dantian revolved and expanded until it became a round bead. Comprised of pure solidified Genetic Energy, Yulian would have ordinarily required years to condense it. Fortunately, the eruption of his Spirit Force multiplied his rate of Genetic Energy absorption, allowing him to cultivate to this point in a matter of hours.

Finally, the golden bead stopped revolving. It had been finally completed. Now that the golden bead had been completed, Yulian too left his meditative state to focus on the bead. Suddenly, Yulian found out… that he could not control the bead anymore! The golden bead automatically left the Dantian through the meridians. It circulated through the meridian network, travelling through the heart, passing the throat and finally settling in Yulian’s forehead. Finally, it disappeared, entering Yulian’s Conscious Realm where Yulian could no longer follow it...

The Conscious Realm was a place similar to the Dantian. While the Dantian stored Genetic Energy, the Conscious Realm stored Spirit Force. A giant golden river was rumbling in the Conscious Realm. This river was Yulian’s Spirit Force! It had broken the chains holding it together and gone wild!

The golden bead travelled to the centre of the golden river and began spinning. The wild Spirit Force was absorbed by the bead, condensing and forming layers around it. Soon, the size of the bead began expanding. As it expanded, the golden color began to darken, until it became a shade of dark gold. Finally, the entirety of the river had been absorbed into it. The bead was now a giant sphere. The giant dark gold sphere automatically floated up and began revolving, emitting a faint golden mist in the Conscious Realm.

After the golden bead entered Yulian’s Conscious Realm, Yulian could no longer follow it. However, he could still feel the Spirit Force in the Conscious Realm calm down. Finally, the Spirit Force ceased its rebellion. At the same time, Yulian automatically entered a mysterious space.

Yulian found himself in an infinite expanse. It was a vast, dark area, only illuminated by the golden mist in the air. At that moment, Yulian understood that he had arrived in his Conscious Realm, the origin of his Spirit Force.

Previously, Yulian was able to use his Spirit Force, but could not enter his Conscious Realm. His Spirit Force was dangerously unstable and could cause various complications. But now, his Spirit Force had stabilized!

The danger that had given him countless sleepless nights and forced him to train like a madman had passed!

Yulian’s head felt lighter, as if a weight hanging overhead had disappeared. He began exploring his Conscious Realm with a spring in his steps.

Yulian walked for a long time before he encountered a floating dark, golden ball. Like a solitary star in the vast expanse, it emitted golden light. It was large and was rotating automatically. As it rotated, it emitted golden mist which covered the entirety of his Conscious Realm!

Yulian knew that the protagonist of Swallowed Star, Luo Feng, also had such a golden ball in his Conscious Realm. It caused Luo Feng to suffer many comas in his childhood, simultaneously causing Luo Feng’s body to grow stronger. When Luo Feng became a Fighter, it stopped causing comas, because Luo Feng’s strength had grown enough for him to be able to be unharmed by it! After this, the dark, golden ball gave Luo Feng high talent in cultivation!

Yulian walked up to the golden ball and touched it. The moment he touched it, it was as if he had been sent to another world. Yulian found himself facing a dragon.

A giant, golden dragon appeared in Yulian’s mind. The dragon gave off an astonishing aura, and Yulian found it difficult to breathe as it looked at him. The dragon had sharp claws, leathery wings and a mouth that could swallow Yulian in a single bite.

The dragon roared. It was a sound that caused Yulian to simultaneously feel awe and fear. Golden-red flames swept out, burning the world to ashes. Yulian instinctively closed his eyes. However, when the flames touched Yulian, he only felt gentle warmth cover his skin.

Yulian opened his eyes to see golden flames cover the world around him. In this world of fire, only two people existed. Yulian looked at the golden dragon. Suddenly, the dragon began speaking!

“I, the Dragon Sovereign of the 2nd Generation, have deemed you worthy of my legacy, Dragonic Flame Rebirth. This legacy can cultivate a human into a dragon, bestow strength to the weak and make you an existence capable of warring against the heavens and the earth! However let me give fair warning, every power has a price, this technique is unfinished!

The Spirit Immersion, Five Colored Stones, Stealing from Heaven and Earth, Chaos World Egg, Three Form Manifestation and Blazing Nirvana Rebirth… seven blocks on this path has been laid by me. To progress further, build on my legacy to further your own path! Do you dare step off the orthodox path and decide your cultivation path with your own strength? If you are willing, accept my legacy and be reborn as a peerless dragon!”

“I am willing! I accept your legacy!” Yulian immediately kowtowed thrice, paying his respects to the golden dragon. The dragon growled, before breathing out a golden ball of fire. The flame was absorbed into the kneeling Yulian’s body. Suddenly, information about the second stage of the Dragonic Flame Rebirth, Five Colored Stones appeared in Yulian’s mind.

The golden dragon disappeared in a golden shimmer and Yulian awoke on the floor. He was pulled out of the Conscious Realm into the real world. Checking his watch, he found out that the time was 8:15 PM. The phone indicated that Jack had called thrice.

Yulian wanted to check the second stage of his new cultivation technique, but he decided that returning home was more important. Walking out of the abandoned outskirts of the city, Yulian hauled a driverless car and proceeded home.

“…You were gone for SEVEN hours! You left home at 1 PM! What the hell were you thinking? Despite being a martial artist, your strength is still under that of a Fighter! If a Fighter picked on you, you would be powerless! Do you know how worried I was when I found out…” The moment Yulian returned home, Jack lectured him for the next one hour. Yulian could have silenced him by revealing his Fighter-class strength, but he chose not to. He didn’t want to meet with Catalan Paulinus now. Yulian also decided that he deserved being yelled at. A 7 year old being gone for 7 hours, exploring the city by foot, using Spirit Force to finish off a Horde Leader Level monster… the shenanigans Yulian got up to could be used to compile a list on ‘things hazardous to 7 year olds’.

After this, Yulian and Jack shared dinner together. Since neither of them had the ability to cook, Jack dialed up a restaurant to order. As they ate together, Yulian realized that these careless days would soon come to an end. He had stabilized his Spirit Force and broken through to a Fighter at the age of 7. The current him was an absolute peerless talent in martial arts. His fate would certainly not be constrained to this place!

A/N – Even though I promised to post twice a week, I posted a chapter after two weeks! As they say, man proposes, God disposes! My PC broke down due to Windows 10 automatic download, so don’t blame me, blame Microsoft!

Anyways, the first arc of this story has come to an end! Our martial hero has finally gained his cheat! Next chapter will come after 1 September. I have some exams coming up, so I have to work hard! See you after 10 days!
