《I awoke as the hero of Oakvale》Chapter 12. Bringing light to Void

Hunting monsters and bandits was much easier with Naia flying overhead telling me where they were. The Nymph was already earning her keep even though I rarely let her do any fighting herself. She is young, naive, and all it would take to kill her is one lucky hit from the enemy.
I think we may have over-prepared for our trip into the void. Right now I have like ten times the amount of free green and Will experience than I did when I created [Time Control]. We all had a lot more than we needed by far and that included supplies. Nemo was loaded with everything and anything we could need.
"Everyone ready," I asked looking towards my kin.
Theresa rolled her eyes at me, "Uh yeah, stop being a worrywart and let's go already".
Once we were all inside the demon door I sat and positioned myself by a blue will line.
"Doors sealed and ready for travel," Nemo stated.
"Aye Aye captain lets set sail," I exclaimed in reference that I told Nemo he was named after a captain.
Just as before I focused on the blue line and willed time to move away from this space. Even with my enhanced Will pool, I was still drained of Will energy very quickly. Although I could tell we had definitely moved much farther at one attempt than I did before. Since my will pool is larger I can probably get us there in three days instead of a week. What I mean is three days of travel time. I could take breaks in between as the time difference would buy me some extra time.
Since I will have less time before we arrive it meant I needed to start training light magic now. Taking a meditative stance I focused inward into the dark expanse of my mind. There I could see my clockwork spell world that was my [Time Control]. A little ways away from it is where I decided to form my next spell world. Looking into the darkness I envisioned a light and like a book from my old world once said it had all started I spoke those four words, "Let there be light". I did this not out of nostalgia or to pretend myself a god. I did it for the mental image it would provide. The image of the creation of light itself and it this way those four words held great power. It was faint at first but it grew into a large glowing white ball like a massive light bulb.
Then focusing on the giant white ball I willed its exterior to crystalize into a protective layer. Light crystals are very hard but I chose this for several different reasons. One I could make the shell act as a lens to focus my light-based spells. Second, I could use it for a magical LED of sorts. An LED light is actually just two substances bonded together. usually a metal and a glass/crystal. Third I could use it as a fiber-optic path to feed my spell like the new lasers that were invented before I awoke in Albion. What I created, in the end, was like a jigsaw puzzle of spheric layers with many lens, holes, and lines that allows its function to change as I will it. There were even a few fiber optic paths/wire that would allow me to move the light in between layers or to certain places it may be needed. It could be called a sort of light-based circuit I guess. All of this would allow certain spots to come together changing the function insanely fast. The goal is to cast the spell in many ways at a moment's notice.

The innermost layer acted like the gemstone ruby as it would let light in but not out unless I wanted it too using a lens. The second, outer layer was the Will based LED that would infinitely replace the light within the orb. It would absorb Will energy and constantly feed/upgrade the light spell. Next was the fiber optic that would greatly increase the absorption of Will and light energies. Each layer had many focal lenses that would normally be closed. Each would also add something to a function or spell.
the color of the light as white as it represented all wavelengths of light. Other colors like violet, red, etc would be only one spectrum and have only one function. Once I started with white I discovered I could change the majority one color to cast a specific spell without losing the ability to change back. Had I somehow chosen a different color I would have been stuck with it forever. Not going to claim I was being super smart because had I not remembered that white light was made up of all wavelengths and frequencies I could have made that mistake. I'm fairly certain I lucked out. The crystal world of light even hummed a beautiful sound that changed depending on what color I made it or what function I did with it.
There is a reason I chose to make a world of pure light and not a star. A star is a combustion-based fusion reaction that would best represent the ultimate fire spell. Light is just a by-product from stars and what I created was a world made from light, that produces light, and focuses light. It would best serve as a light manipulating spell that would be versatile. That doesn't mean I don't want to create a star spell later. I just need a pure light-based spell right now for various reasons. The void is one such reason, teleportation being another.
Opening my eyes and standing up I planned to grab a knife from my bag nearby but a sudden rumble in my stomach stopped me.
"How long was I making my spell?", I asked Theresa.
"Two and a half days", She replied flatly.
"Not bad I guess", I stated.
Using what I knew of the healing spell from Scarlet's cultivation and teleportation from examining her guild seal I created what should be an enhanced version of light magic spell that could do everything. There was a method to the madness after all and I not so stupid as to use my only shot without pooling all my resources. If I could have trusted Archmage Maze I would have reached out to him through Scarlet. Only after he knows I have defeated Jack once would he be trustworthy. Since he only serves Jack out of fear.
Filling my belly, getting a much-needed drink of water, Taking a bathroom break in a secluded corner of this space I was ready to continue. Good thing this place will break down and recycle waste much like how it does water. My initial threat when I first met Nemo to use him as a toilet only worked because this effect only takes place inside.

Taking a knife I cut my hand a little and asked my mother to heal it. Remembering the sound I rearranged The glowing spell world until it finally made that same sound. Cutting my hand again I focused the spell and my intent to heal my hands cut. The cut did heal but it was a bit slow and took more Will energy than it should have. Making adjustments and trying again I was able to improve it significantly but it was still not as good at healing as my mothers. Either it would take a long time to learn to use it to the same level as the basic healing spell or I gave up focusing on one function for versatility and many branching spell functions. I still feel if that's the case the trade was worth it.
The next day after moving us closer to the void again I practiced some of my new spells functions. Switching spell worlds quickly did prove difficult as I suspected. Using a spell world requires taking control over it with your will by immersing/saturating it in your focus. This takes a moment and time to learn to do efficiently. Otherwise, it just continues to operate on its basic programing to maintain itself and grow more powerful by absorbing available energy. I suspect mine may be better at this than others but of course, I don't know for sure.
Creating a laser was one of the easiest functions of the spell. Since its basically just a magic flashlight that gets stronger until it burns/cuts. Even with magic though I couldn't figure out how to make a lightsaber... yet. Someday, master Obi-Wan, I shall be a Jedi!
It took an insane amount of Will energy and focus but I could make light crystal. The one I managed to make after an hour using my whole filled Will pool was about the size of a grain of sand. The plus side was that it didn't disappear no matter how much time passed. It was a permanent grain of sand made from light-based Will magic. Yay!
Invisibility proved to be one of the most efficient and useful so far. I could bend the light around me and sustain it almost indefinitely as my regen was almost as fast as the drain. I couldn't use any other spells while using it and covering Nemo with it later will require me to use potions regularly but I suspected that already and came prepared. For some reason, Naia could still see me when I turn invisible but not the objects I make invisible. The only reason I could think this was happening is our familiar bond. We can share thoughts and always know where each other are at all times.
Teleportation although the coolest and most useful potentially would have to wait. There is so much that could go wrong with it. I could end up as a corpse fused to a stone wall or lost who knows where. It is the most unpredictable and dangerous spell to learn/use. So even though I know the frequency to use it I won't.
Using microwaves is going to take some research. I know that light is an electromagnetic wave and regular electromagnetic waves can be used to create microwaves. Microwaves are a frequency that makes water vibrate causing it to heat up. So, in theory, I can boil water and heat things. The problem is that microwaves are dangerous and without a method to contain them can bounce around unpredictably. When A microwave device cook's in a kitchen the inside is layered with metal that reflects microwaves. So if I accidentally hit something metallic like my enemy's armor/weapon during combat it can bounce back at me. I would then be cooked by my own spell. Worse yet is I could kill someone important to me I was trying to protect. So with great power comes great responsibility.
Naia flew down next to me and not only could I see it on her face but I could also feel through our link she was contemplating something. She would spend most of her time flying about overhead to entertain herself while we trained. Sometimes she too participated in training like when my dad did his boot camp style exercises. She would throw things at him from many different directions to block or dodge. This seemed to greatly entertain her especially when Brom failed.
Scarlet and Brom had their own space with a tent on the other side of the river. In the game, that area was inaccessible due to the 2-inch deep stream but in real life was super easy to get to. It made sense that a husband and his wife needed their own space, bed, or tent. It was just a given so I hadn't thought about it too much. That is when Naia asked the bombshell that had Theresa and me sick to our stomachs. A reminder that Theresa was unable to foresee what would occur here due to its outward relation to time.
"Do humans often take off their clothes and roll on the ground together?"
