《Young Adversary》Author Address

Sup! As the title suggests there’s something I want to address or rather explain. It’s regarding my lack of posting recently. I’ve said it in the comments before but I’m planning on moving this series to a different site and try my luck there since it isn’t popular here. The plan originally was to drop this story, leave this site, and start a new story on a different site. I pondered and pondered if I should really do that and decided against it for two reasons.
One, it wouldn’t be fair to those who stuck around for so long if I just ended the story. I feel like I would betray the loyalty you’ve shown me. Two, I simply love this story and world I built so I just couldn’t drop it after what, almost 4 years of writing both versions? So I decided to finish book 1 first and then move to the new site. Although, I still haven’t decided what I’m gonna do for book 2. Meaning, should I post it here or post it on a private site and share the link with you guys?
Hmm....I think I need to explain it further. Okay, I’ll be real. I want to see if I can make money from my writing. I could’ve post a patreon or PayPal here but I don’t want to charge you guys who stuck with me. So after I finish book 1 here, I’ll leave it for sometime until I’m ready to move to a different site. But before I do that I need to polish the story. Not really a rewrite but I’ll try to make it the best Young Adversary possible. I’ll remove and change some stuff which I’m already doing with the earlier chapters which have a completely different feeling. I’m also rewriting the second arc to make it more exciting to grab readers. The biggest problem this story has is it’s beginning chapters that were flooded with exposition, slow-paced and as some say too edgy at times. So anyway, I’m polishing the series but won’t post the new versions of the chapters here.

To be honest, my desire to polish the story sometimes exceeds my desire to write new chapters but because I know I must do it I feel like I’m forcing myself to write sometimes and that just kills my motivation. In other words, I’m caught in the middle of my desire to complete the story and rewrite it, hence the lack of chapters. Well, I’m binging Hitman Reborn for the last month so that is taking up my time too lol. Anyway, I’m stuck and don’t know what to do. Should I focus on rewriting or finish book 1 first and then rewrite? I’m confused because I want the extra cash especially with that bitch corona fucking shit up but I also want to repay you guys. Ah, I’m also practicing drawing again and that takes up time as well. I want illustrate characters and scenes from the story. I already drew Miko’s face, it’s my profile pic....I think I’m trying to do too much with the little time I have. It’s honestly overwhelming me.
Anyway, what do you guys think I should do? Focus on rewriting now or finish the story first? Oh, there’s only two arcs after this one but the next arc will probably be the longest. This arc should have around 20 or so chapters left too. The final arc will be a game changing war arc so I don’t know how long it will be.
Anyway, give me your advice in the comments. Ah, you can follow me on Twitter @Tsura_Alvah if your interested in my fanarts and original arts as well as my anime and manga related thoughts and other random shit.

The Navigator
I'm a navigator. This essentially means it's my job to ferry goods and/or people from point A to point B. I know, shocking, but here's the thing. I don't navigate the seas or stars. Hell, I don't even have a ship, craft, vessel or vehicle of any description. 'What is it you navigate, then?' you may ask. The chaotic nonsensical void between neighboring realities. That's what.
