In the Newgate City, there were dozens of residential areas for citizens to live. However, there weren’t all the same. There were some areas that were meant for high ranking members of society like people who worked close with the government. In one of these areas, there was a house that was noticeably simpler than the others. If you were to read the nameplate at the gate you would see the name Eriksen.

Inside the house was a woman who looked like she was in her late teens. She wasn’t breathtakingly beautiful but she was still very pretty. Her golden hair was cut short was above the shoulders. She had a pair of soothing green eyes, and was dressed in a floral one piece dress. This woman was busy in the kitchen preparing a meal when she heard a knock on the door.

“Coming~.”

Her mellow voice was pleasing to the ears like a bird singing. She walked out of the kitchen and went towards the entrance to open the door. But before she could, the door opened and someone walked in. When she saw who it was her eyes became softer and a small smile appeared on her face.

“You’re back, Kaido.”

Kaido had a smile on his face and looked at the woman with a gentle gaze.

“I’m back, Hana.”

He walked up to the girl and hugged.

“I missed you.”

The woman hugged him back.

“I missed you too.”

They stayed in each other’s embrace for a while before letting go.

“You got taller again. You’re basically towering over me.”

Hana tipped and placed her hand over Kaido’s head to emphasize the size difference between them.

“Come in. I’m preparing dinner for us.”

“Oh? That sounds great.”

Kaido locked the door behind him.

“What are you making?”

“I thought that your eating habits at the academy had gotten wild so I prepared some jambalaya.”

“Sounds delicious.”

After some time, Kaido was having dinner with Hana in their living room.

“So, are you back permanently?”

“It seems so. Bloom said that I’ve mellowed down enough to function in society so I don’t need to go back. Honestly, I think it’s because I brought her Miko.”

“Well, I agree with Bloom. You’ve really mellowed down.”

Hana pointed at Kaido with a fork.

“Your table manners have improved drastically. I remember when we first met, you could only eat with your hands and even when you learnt to eat using utensils you’d still make a mess.”

“Hahaha…”

Kaido laughed weakly.

“You also don’t seem to be on the edge all the time and can truly relax.”

A bright smile appeared on her face.

“I’m so glad. I’m sure it must’ve been hard to change after all those years but you still did it. I’m honestly proud of you.”

“Could you stop that? You sound like a proud mom.”

“Because I am. My child has gotten so big after all.”

Hana chuckled while Kaido only smiled.

“So what’s new?”

He asked.

“Sapphire came over earlier and we went shopping together and then I had lunch with Bloom. She, however left in a hurry.”

“Yeah, she met up with me at the airport to pull a prank on our guests.”

Kaido mumbled.

“Really? That does sound like something she would do.”

“But Miko saw right through her from the beginning. It felt good seeing the look on her face when he explained how he did it. She was completely shocked.”

“You really like it when she fails.”

“Which person doesn’t like seeing their slave driver boss fall on their face every now and again?”

“Well, as long as you never forget the debt we have towards her it’s fine.”

“Don’t worry. I always repay my debts.”

Kaido took another bite out of his meal and his face brightened up.

“For a former princess who had private chefs all her life, you’re a really good cook.”

“Thanks but I don’t think that I’m that great.”

“You’re more than good enough for me, so that’s enough.”

Hana’s smile became brighter and was now like a radiating sun.

“Hana, I’m glad that I’m home for good. And to make it better I should have the next couple days off so we can spend that time together.”

Kaido had a huge grin on his face.

“I’m so happy right-”

Suddenly he felt his phone vibrate. He took it out and looked at the caller ID and frown.

“Give me a minute.”

He answered the phone and put it at his ear.

“Hello.”

(Ah, Lord Kaido! I’m glad to hear that you’ve returned!)

“Stop with the flattery and get to the point. I’m in the middle of something.”

Kaido’s tone was filled with irritation.

(Ah, Yes. Forgive me. It’s just that there’s a disturbance at Le Nuit…)

“And why are you telling me this? I’m not the police, you are Chief.”

(Ah, Yes. But this situation is a bit special and is honestly outside what we can handle.)

The police chief said.

“Then call Silver Crow. Protocol states that if the normal police can’t handle a situation in the capital then as the Special Police they should step in. Why the hell are you-”

“Kaido.”

Kaido looked at the frowning Hana.

“Calm down. You’re scaring him.”

Kaido look at her for a bit and took a deep breath.

“My apologizes. Chief, did you call Silver Crow? I’m only allowed to get involved when it’s a military matter or Bloom orders it.”

(I did, but when I explained the situation the leader of Silver Crow told me that it’s your problem not his….)

“Screw that bastard Jin! Why is this my problem?! Besides, I’m on leave!”

(H-He said that the cause of the problem is the person you brought with you when you returned.)

Kaido suddenly froze.

(MIKO!!!)

He screamed in his head and looked like he wanted to cry.

“…It’s true that he’s my jurisdiction…”

Kaido started mumbling.

(But I don’t want to work!)

He sighed.

“Fine. Explain the situation to me.”

The police Chief then gave a summary of what was reported to him. After he did, Kaido hung up.

“Hana, I’m sorry. It looks something came up.”

“Is it that Miko person?”

Kaido nodded dispiritedly.

“Can I come?”

“Huh?”

Kaido looked at her in shock.

“I’m curious as to what kind of person this Miko is. I wanna see him with my own eyes.”

“No, it’ll be dangerous.”

Hana frowned.

“I’m not a pampered princess anymore, Kaido. I’m a trained soldier just like you and a pretty strong one too. I can handle myself.”

Kaido looked at her for a while a before sighing.

“Alright. But just be careful. Miko tends to be unpredictable.”

Kaido and Hana arrived at the club around 10 minutes later. When they arrived they saw a pile of bodies in every corner. Some were wearing bodyguards uniforms, some looked like normal citizens while the others were police officers. Kaido looked and saw the culprit drinking champagne with some girls while stepping on a man in a white suit.

“Miko…”

“Hm? Oh, Kaido. I didn’t know you came to clubs.”

Miko stood up and noticed the expression on Kaido’s face.

“Oh, this? I have a perfectly reasonable explanation for what happened.”

Let’s rewind to when Miko first arrived at the club. He entered with Momo and Tia at his side and Ishma and Regis walking in front of him. The club was dark but people could still clearly see each other because of the neon lights. As such, Miko’s group caught the attention of a lot of people when they entered.

“Oh? This is nicer than I expected. I wonder what kind of liquor they have?”

Tiamat said while looking around.

“For once, your speaking my language.”

Ishma said.

“Let’s get a private table and enjoy ourselves.”

Miko left the girls and went to the bar counter to talk about getting a table. After he left, the girls were subjected to the stares of a lot of people.

“Who are they?”

“I don’t know, I haven’t seen them before.”

“They might be tourists because I’m sure women as beautiful as those two with the azure hair would be famous.”

“Yeah, I agree with you there.”

“They came with that guy by the bar.”

“Damn, he’s good looking too.”

“He must be some prince or big shot from a country.”

Since the club was huge not everyone saw when Miko’s group came in. The second floor was more of a lounge than a club. This is the floor where people with high statuses interact with each other.

“Antione.”

A young man who was dressed in a white suit and was enjoying champagne with a group of women was called out to by one of the other partygoers.

“What is it?”

Antione sounded irritated because his date was being interrupted.

“I think you might want to go down the first floor. An interesting group is causing a fuss down there from just showing up.”

“Interesting? Are they beautiful women?”

“Very beautiful.”

Hearing the confidence in the other person’s voice, Antione decided to cut his date short and went downstairs to have a look for himself.

“My god…”

He felt like his body was hit with lightning when he looked at the corner his friend pointed. There he saw two heaven defying beauties with two lovely looking girls. He felt like he was looking at beings who were from this world.

“Who are they?”

“We don’t know.”

“You don’t know? Then I’ll go find out.”

Antione straighten his suit and started making his way to the table with the women.

“Here’s your drinks.”

But before he could reach them Miko appeared with a tray with different drinks on it.

“Why didn’t have an employee bring them over?”

Momo asked.

“I felt like pampering the girls that have stuck with me through thick and thin. Is there a problem with that?”

“……”

Momo said nothing and took the drinks.

“Hm?”

Miko turned his head and saw Antione walking away. He looked at him silence and smiled.

“Who is that?”

Antione asked his friend after walking back to him.

“We don’t know. Everyone just came to conclusion that he’s some kind of royalty and those two are his women.”

“Hmm…”

Antione looked at Miko’s group again and started analyzing their appearance and behavior.

“It’s true that they all seem intimate. The two girls could pass for the their daughters from the features alone. Plus I don’t think they’re all blood related to him.”

Antione shook his head.

“It doesn’t matter. I must have them.”

He turned his back to his friend and looked towards Miko’s table with a crazy look in his eyes.

“My father said that for a man to be happy he must acquire everything he wants no matter the cost.”

He clenched his fists.

“I don’t care if he’s some prince or even king. This is the Newgate Country! We’re backed by a monster like MYTH. No one can go against us that easily!”

“Plus your father is a high ranking government official. I’m sure he can handle things if it goes south.”

“You’re right.”

Antione took out his phone and started making phone calls. He didn’t notice that his friend had a cunning smile on his face before mumbling under his breath.

“Let’s see what kind of person you are, Miko.”

“So I was minding my own business and this idiot came to me demanding that I hand over my women. I mean who does that? This isn’t the Middle Ages you know? Anyway, he tried to use some bodyguards to beat me up. I quickly took care of them and then slap him until his face was swollen. He then started saying some crap about his father. It bored me so I punched him in the face and caused it to become bloodied. Then the police came and tried to arrest me for hitting a government official or something. I got pissed that they didn’t even ask me for my side of the story so I kicked them around a bit. Just as I was going to continue my night out, some idiots came from downstairs saying that I hurt their friend or something. It was turning in a pain so I decked them too. We then resumed our night and then you came.”

Miko gave Kaido his side of story while pouring the girls some champagne in their glasses.

“I see.”

Kaido looked down on Antione who was still being stepped on by Miko.

“I’m glad that you didn’t kill anyone.”

“Of course. I don’t just go around committing mass murder every time I’m pissed. What do you take me for?”

Kaido nodded and looked down on Antione.

(So the reason my night with Hana was interrupted was because this idiot couldn’t keep it in his pants…..I want to kick his ass too!)

With a smile on his face, Kaido spoke to Miko.

“Could you let it slide today? This fuc…This young man is an government official’s son.”

“I don’t mind. Take him.”

Miko flicked Antione with his foot and Kaido caught him.

“Thanks. Try not to get too wild tonight.”

“Don’t worry. I’m here on vacation not to cause problems.”

Kaido nodded and gestured to Hana that they were leaving. Hana looked at Miko in silence for a while before turning away with a smile. When they left Miko looked back with a curious gaze.

“That girl seemed a bit strange.”

After Kaido handed Antione over to the police and instructed them to avoid Miko, he left with Hana.

“That Miko….”

He looked at Hana who was mumbling. He then heard her say-

“For some reason he reminds me of Natasa Kingsley. A beast incarnate that follows his own rules.”

Kaido’s eyes widen a bit before frowning.

“Then, it’ll be best we make sure they don’t meet.”

He sighed.

“Miko and the face of the Four Pillars….That sounds like a recipe for disaster.”

Meanwhile, someone was watching Antione being carried away by the police. It was the same person who showed him Tia and Momo and pushed him to pursue them.

“Miko huh? He responded as a Don should. I guess I’ll keep an eye on him for now.”
