Let’s rewind a bit.

*BAM!*

Momo and Tara were clashing in an intense battle of fists. Their fists clashed and caused explosive sounds. The two were propelled back by the recoil of their attacks. The two were breathing heavily and were covered in wounds.

“I must say, it sucks that I can’t take down a Spellmaster in a fist fight. I really need to practice my hand to hand combat skills.”

Tara said.

“I think you’re pretty good already….”

The gauntlet on Momo’s arms had began falling apart from all the damage it took.

“Let’s finish this.”

She took a fighting stance.

“I agree….Hm?”

When she lifted her fists to fight, something caught Tara’s eyes. It was the crown on her Apostle Crest.

“The crown is fading.”

She immediately took to the skies and started looking around.

“What is she doing?”

Momo suddenly saw Tara shot towards the east.

“Wait!”

Momo wanted to chase after her but she became lightheaded and started falling to the side.

“Grr!”

She clenched her teeth and stood her ground.

“I can’t fall here. She might be going after one of the others.”

She mustered her strength and flew through the sky, chasing after Tara. When she saw Tara stop and descend, she did the same and was shocked to see someone stepping on someone who seemed to be Klaus.

“This mana….Ace?”

Momo could hardly recognized Ace, who was over overflowing with sinister energy.

“Move your foot.”

Tara said glaring at Ace.

“I said make me, bitch.”

Tara started approaching Ace. Momo got ready to stop her if she charged at Ace.

“With the authority bestowed onto me as the #1 Apostle...”

Both Ace and Momo’s eyes slowly widen when they realized what Tara was about to do.

“I forfeit in the name of Klaus Vritra.”

*********

At the same time.

“Kill me.”

“……..”

Luka was standing in front of a defeated and broken Zora.

“In case you haven’t noticed, I had no intention of killing you.”

“I don’t need your pity! You won, so finish me off!”

“You’re right, I won, so I get to decide what to do with you.”

Luka calmly argued back.

“Give up, Zora.”

“I’ll rather die than admit that you’re superior to me; than admit that I lost to superior talent!”

Luka looked troubled. She could tell that Zora had no intention of giving up. He would honestly rather die than do that.

“Hey, stay down!”

Luka tried to stop Zora who was lifting his upper body.

“Shut up!”

Zora slapped her hand away.

“If you refuse to kill me then we’ll continue to fight until one of us drop dead!”

“Argh!”

Luka felt like she had a massive headache.

“Is this how I was with Miko? I can see why he avoided me for so long. Dealing with someone like this is a pain in the ass.”

Luka grumbled. Zora ignored her and got back on his feet. He lifted his trembling fists and glared at Luka.

“Come!”

“……..”

Luka looked at him in silence.

(If I kill him then I’ll make the Black Bone Tribe my and my clan’s enemy. The clan is already preparing to take on the Zebul Empire, we can’t afford to make another powerful enemy at the moment.)

She thought.

“?!”

Suddenly her body was assaulted by an overwhelming pain.

“Now that the adrenaline is gone you’re starting feel all of damages you’ve accumulated, huh?”

Zora said with a grin.

“I’m the same. Just standing is making me wanna pass out but I won’t fall until one of us dies.”

“Persistent bastard.”

*BAM!*

Suddenly the sound of a loud explosion reached their ears. Luka turned around and saw Laz laying on the ground choking on his own blood. Not too far away, Xue Yu was struggling to stand up.

“What the?”

Luka saw a ghastly figure walk out of the dust cloud with a giant tuba behind him. She didn’t know what to think of the situation.

“Oh, Luka. You found Zora.”

“Sora?”

“Yup.”

Sora walked up to Xue Yu and stepped on her back and forced her to the ground.

“I just won my fight was about to clean up the mess.”

“Laz!”

Zora rushed over to Laz and lifted his upper body off the ground.

“He was rather tough, but a stubborn one though.”

Sora said.

“You!”

Zora glared at him.

“Don’t bother. I would’ve had a hard time fighting you if you were at full strength but I can kill the current you with a trumpet.”

A black trumpet appeared behind Sora. Both Zora and Luka were confused and tried to figure out what kind of ability was Sora using.

“Wait a minute…”

Luka suddenly had an idea.

“Zora, you refused to surrender even it meant your life! What about your apostles?! Are you willing to risk their lives for your pride?!”

Zora gritted his teeth and looked down at Laz. He knew that Laz couldn’t go on and if the battle continues he’ll die. Zora was conflicted. He didn’t want to surrender to Luka of all people since she was the personification of everything that stood in his way. However, he couldn’t handle losing his apostles in this battle. It was while he was struggling to make a decision that an announcement was made by Tiamat and the other dragons for all to hear.

“Klaus Vritra is disqualified! His #1 apostle has surrendered in his stead!”

“What? Tara did?”

Nero continued.

“Following the rules of the Proxy Duel, Klaus and his apostles are no longer a part of this battle and cannot attack or be attacked by anyone.”

“Oh, so Klaus is out.”

Luka smiled and looked Zora.

“What are you going to do?”

Zora glared at her for a bit before sighing.

“I surrender.”

“Good.”

Luka nodded.

“Then all that’s left is you.”

Sora looked down at Xue Yu.

“Like I said earlier, Dragon Storm will be eradicated. No exceptions.”

“Hold it!”

A loud voice came from the sky. On the altar Xue Bao was shouting at Sora.

“If you kill my granddaughter I promise you that I’ll kill you myself!”

Sora looked up at the sky and smiled.

“Like I said, Dragon Storm will be eradicated.”

*Bam!*

“Guah?!”

Xue Yu coughed up a mouthful of blood before she stopped moving all together and slowly close her eyes.

“No exceptions.”

“You son of a bitch!”

On the altar, Xue Bao was about to jump down.

“Move and you’re dead.”

He, however, halted when he heard Nero’s voice. He turned around and saw him looking at him without much expression on his face.

“…..!”

He gritted his teeth but didn’t move. The dragon gods spoke again.

********

Elsewhere the twins were fighting Vidal and Kuga in another intense battle. And then-

“Klaus Vritra is disqualified! His #1 apostles has surrendered in his stead! Following the rules of the Proxy Duel, Klaus and his apostles are no longer a part of this battle and cannot attack or be attacked by anyone!”

The dragon gods announcement reached their ears.

“What?!”

Kuga was shocked because the announcement meant that Vidal couldn’t help her out against the twins.

“Hehehe.”

She turned around and saw the twins looking at her like she was their prey.

“This is so unfair!”

She shouted as the twins came at her. And then-

“Zora of the Black Bone Tribe has surrendered!”

The twins halted just as they were about to attack Kuga.

“Zora!”

Kuga cried tears of joy.

“Following the rules of the Proxy Duel, Zora and his apostles are no longer a part of this battle and cannot attack or be attacked by anyone!”

*********

“……..”

Ace and Momo looked at Tara who was carrying Klaus away despite her injuries.

“I didn’t think she was going to give up like that.”

Ace grumbled.

“What, you wanted to fight her?”

“It’s not everyday I get to use my full strength you know.”

Momo shook her head.

“You’re insane.”

Momo turned her back to Ace and started walking away. Leaving him with his thoughts.

“I wonder why I said that?”

Ace recalled after Tara surrendered. He took his foot off Klaus and kicked him at her. Tara collected her brother was getting to leave when he spoke.

“You’re pretty much the blame for why he has no confidence in himself. The reason why he came out like this is the fault of you and your family and you know this. Instead of trying to atone by pledging yourself to him, try guiding him like a family should.”

“…….I’ll take your advice to heart.”

Tara said before lifting him up.

********

“Overlord is suppose to make me a heartless tyrant and yet I showed compassion…Is it because I was able to feel his emotions?”

“It’s because of those around you.”

He turned and looked at Momo.

“They’re what keeping you from turning into a monster.”

“How do you know?”

“Because it’s the same for all of us.”

She started walking away.

“People rely on others to remain human.”

Ace watched her walk away for a bit before following behind her.

“Nope. I still don’t get it.”

*******

*BAM!*

Flames and ice collided and caused a massive explosion. Fang flew out of that explosion with smoke coming off his body. Sasha and Leon chased after him with a gigantic burning undead monster behind them.

“Hel Zombie General!”

“Roar!”

The monster lifted its burning club and swung it down on Fang.

“Fang Zone!”

A sphere of scarlet slashes surrounded fang before expanding and cutting the undead monster’s club and then its entire body to pieces. The sphere then stretched towards Sasha and Leon.

“Wall!”

An army of undead monsters leaped in front of them and blocked the slashes for them.

“Crimson Thunder!”

A giant bolt of lightning fell from the sky and hit Fang and caused a massive explosion.

“Ahh!”

Fang roared and a tidal wave of blood-colored water rushed towards Leon and Sasha. The water turned into a gigantic serpent which attacked them. Flames covered Leon and then formed and giant warrior around him. He roared and the warrior clashed with the serpent.

“This is ridiculous. How can they still have that much energy left?”

Fang felt like the two would fight forever if they had to.

“It was fun at first but I need to finish this before one of them breaks into the Divine Realm from constantly pushing past their limits.”

Fang clasped his hand together and started gathering all of his energy in his stomach.

“I’ll cut this entire city to pieces and bring everything to an end.”

He checked to see if Leon and Sasha were still preoccupied before getting ready to end it all. He then activated his strongest attack.

“Fang Universe!”

“I’ve been waiting for this!”

“?!”

Fang saw his surroundings become distorted and then Leon and Sasha were nowhere to be found. His blood serpent was just attacking the city.

“Guh?!”

He felt a piercing pain in his stomach. He looked down and saw Sasha’s ice lance stabbing into him.

“Assassination rule #2: always strike when your target least expect it.”

Fang slashed his claws at her but she faded away before reappearing some distance from him.

“You!”

Suddenly Fang felt like his insides were becoming cold. Fog started coming out of his mouth and it became harder for him to move.

“It can’t be….Poison?”

“Bingo.”

Sasha said. Fang looked at her before smiling.

“I thought I told you that I was immune to poison?”

He stood up straight.

“Something like this-Guh?!”

“What’s wrong? Can’t dispel it? Of course you can’t. It’s been in your system too long.”

“Impossible. I was just poison….Wait…”

“Did it come back to you? You were poisoned earlier, just when our fight just started.”

Sasha showed a bright smile.

“Assassination rule#3: Whenever you strike make sure that it has meaning.”

Fang fell from the sky and landed on his feet. It was starting to become painful to breathe.

“You said it yourself, Fang. For my poison to affect you it must be a godly poison. So why did you think it could be easily dispel? Are you looking down on the word Godly?”

Fang legs became weak and he fell on his knees.

“Besides, did you ever ask yourself how you got poisoned in the first?”

Fang’s eyes widened. Because he was in the middle of fighting he never questioned how Sasha poisoned him. He thought about it for a bit and remembered that he felt weak after getting punched on the side of the head.

“?!”

He moved his hair and placed his finger there and then look at it. He saw a purple liquid on his finger.

“You didn’t dispel the poison, Fang. It wasn’t even fully active yet.”

Leon said.

“It’s called Garmr’s Bane, named after the hellhound of Hel. It’s a slow acting poison that enters your blood stream and fuse with your blood cells. When you felt dizzy that was just a mild side effect.”

“I know about it!”

Fang shouted.

“It’s harmless by itself and will naturally leave your system. It’s only when it comes in contact with continuous extremely cold temperatures will it act up and freeze your body solid starting from your blood cells.”

Fang remembered all the times Sasha hit him with ice-based attacks. Her stabbing him with her ice lance was just the final kick it needed to get it really started.

“Earlier, you used mist magic to create the illusion of you fighting my blood serpent. You knew that I would want to finish this soon and waited for me use my final attack.”

“A fighter is his most vulnerable when he’s about to attack. My mother always told me to aim for that.”

*Thud!*

Fang fell over and his breathing started becoming weaker.

“We can’t defeat you head on but we can Assassinate you.”

“Well done. There’s no saving me now.”

Fang started smiling.

*Crack!*

His body started cracking.

“What the?”

“That’s why I might as well take you two to hell with me.”

“Sasha!”

Leon pulled Sasha and took for the skies. Scarlet light start pouring from the cracks in Fang’s body. He smiled.

“Sorry, Tang. I’ll be going ahead.”

His face cracked open and he spoke while his mouth fell apart.

“Exploding Fang!”

*BOOOM!*

Fang’s body exploded and caused a enormous explosion. The explosion continued stretching, devouring everything in its path.

“Shit!”

It caught up to Sasha and Leon who were trying to escape. Seeing that they couldn’t escape, Leon grabbed Sasha and shielded her with his body. The two were then devoured in the explosion.

“………”

When the explosion finally faded, it left a massive crater that stretched for at least a dozen miles. At the edge of the crater, an unconscious Leon laid on an equally unconscious Sasha.

*******

Elsewhere, Hina was walking while dragging her leg and leaving a bloody trail behind her. Some distance behind her, Biyu laid on the ground in a pool of her own blood. Her eyes were still open and she was still breathing. She kept looking at the sky .She remembered how her fight with Hina ended. After they both started channeling powers from their apostle Crest, they poured all that power in their swords for one final clash. They both moved with their top speeds and cut the opponent in front of them. Biyu’s sword was faster and it cut Hina all over, while Hina’s attack held great power. It only took a second for it to be over. Biyu had her stomach sliced open and her organs destroyed by the force of Hina’s attack. She collapsed and started bleeding out on the ground. Hina won, but couldn’t even hold her sword after being slashed apart by Biyu.

“……..”

Biyu silently looked at the sky. She saw the face of her most precious person appear in it and smiled.

“Win, Young Master.”

She closed her eyes and never opened them again. Meanwhile Hina kept dragging her leg heading in the direction Miko did.

*Thud!*

She suddenly collapsed and fell on her face. She gritted her teeth and then started crawling and advance little by little. She was bleeding heavily and her body was aching but she kept going.

“Miko….I gotta….meet….Miko….”

She stopped moving and lost consciousness.

**********

Meanwhile, the stars of the hour Tang and Miko were in a heated battle of fists.

*Bam!*

They punched each other at the same time and distanced themselves. They were both covered in bruises and their surroundings was pretty much a wasteland at this point.

“It looks like it’s just you and me, Miko.”

Tang said while breathing heavily.

“Yeah.”

Miko had a smile on his face.

“It’s time for the exciting finale!”
