《Young Adversary》104th Adversary: Joesph’s Pointers

The Hall Of Rebirth. This was the name of the building that served as the new HQ of Renacido the criminal organization and the house of Congress for Renacido the country. The hall was designed by Miko and Alec and was built by the dwarves led by their king Sirdrek and some members of the Tertitus Branch who were under Alec.
The building itself covered 50 acres, comprised of 6 floors, over 100 rooms, and had several secret passages known only to a few. The yard on the other hand covered 127 acres and was surrounded by a wall which was no more than 5 meters high.
“Madam, welcome back.”
Momo was greeted by the two powerful looking guards who were responsible for monitoring who entered and who left the premise. The other guards who were nearby made sure to greet Momo as well.
“This is Miko’s younger siblings, Kristen and Tessa. Everyone make sure to remember their faces and help them out if they look like they’re in need.”
“The Don King’s younger siblings?!”
All the guards bowed in unison.
“Hail to the royal family!”
They shouted.
“Since Miko is the King of Renacido the country, that makes you two royalty here. By the way, I’m considered royalty here as well.”
Momo explained.
“Alright, let’s go.”
They all walked past the bowing guards and entered the yard. The twins looked at all the exotic plants that came from Jara as they made their way to the hall. Once they arrived, they were once again greeted by the guards stationed there before entering.
Once they were inside the twins saw a dome-shaped room that was filled with artistic pieces like paintings on the ceilings and sculptures around the room. The painting on the ceiling was one of a beautiful azure and gold dragon emerging from the sea. The ones on the walls were that of Miko, Layla, Hina, Ace, Sora, Jason, all the founding members of Renacido. There were sculptures of Momo, Tiamat, Ishma, and Regis as well.
“Hey, isn’t this Sora Ostinato?”
Tessa pointed at Sora’s painting and asked.
“The singer? What’s his painting doing here? Is brother a fan of his?”
Kristen asked.
“Oh, Sora is one of Miko’s closest allies. He along with a famous gamer called Ace and the famous writer Hinami Akume are important founding members of Renacido.”
“Ace, Hinami… I know the both of them.”
“Hahaha! Brother really is amazing for having friends like these.”
Kristen and Tessa both reacted positively.
“Miko and the others should be on one of the secret floors. I’ll lead the way. Follow me.”
Momo led the twins straight into a room which was in a corner. When they entered they saw that it was a broom closet. Momo tapped several places on the wall creating a strange rhythm. Shortly after a section of the wall completely disappeared as if it was never there in the first.
Momo then held the hands of the shocked twins and brought through the new door. Once they stepped inside, the wall returned to normal. Inside, Momo and the twins were engulfed by a light and were unable to see anything.
“…….”
“…….”
When they slowly opened their eyes they were puzzled. That was because they were standing in what seemed like a house.
“Did we get teleported somewhere?”
Kristen asked.
“Yeah, we’re in Nami. It’s a town on the other side of Renacido. This is Renacido real HQ. The Hall of Rebirth is only a decoy to trick our enemies.”

Miko walked into the room and said.
“Brother!”
The twins quickly approached him.
“You two have gotten bigger again. You’re pretty much as tall as me.”
Miko rubbed their heads and said.
“Brother, I heard that you threw the entire empire on its head. Good going.”
Tessa showed her brother a thumbs up.
“….Did you get more feminine?”
Kristen asked.
“I see that you want a punch rather than a hug, Kristen.”
Miko said while squeezing Kristen’s head with a killer grip.
“Kristen, Tessa.”
Sasha walked into the room with Leon.
“Mama, papa!”
The twins ran up and hugged their parents. Tessa hugged Leon while Kristen hugged Sasha.
“We missed you two.”
“How have you been?”
“Kristen is annoying but we’re good.”
“Other than Tessa being a constant pain, we’re fine I guess.”
Miko laughed after hearing his siblings responses.
“Since the two of you are back, I can finally introduce you to my comrades. They’re in the other room, let’s go meet them.”
“Alright, brother.”
The twins followed their parents in the other room leaving Miko and Momo together.
“Are you going to the Flameheart Residence today?”
“Yeah, in a few minutes. While I’m gone can you keep an eye on things.”
“I’m surprised you accepted Joesph’s help with your schedule being as tight as it is.”
“It’s only a few pointers. It won’t take long. Also Kirika said that his pointers will make my swordsmanship training easier.”
“Either way, don’t forget that I still have things I want to teach you.”
“Yeah, Yeah. I won’t forget. Anyway, let’s go join the others.”
Around a hour later, Miko arrived at the Flameheart Residence in Lushun. He used a magic array which was created by the Tertitus Branch to travel there in an instant.
“I’m late thanks you guys.”
He complained while approaching the clan gates.
“We said we were sorry, but we really wanted to see Luka again.”
Tessa apologized while walking behind Miko.
“Who knew that just introducing you to my comrades would lead to such a fiasco.”
“I thought we got along pretty well.”
Kristen said.
“You got along too well. I mean you guys even decided to have a party all of sudden.”
“You could’ve left when it started.”
“And miss the party? No way.”
“….Well, at least you have your priorities straight.”
Miko approached the gates with his siblings behind him.
“Young Master, Welcome. The Progenitor has been waiting for you.”
The guards greeted him and then opened the gates for him. He and his siblings entered the residence.
“Now that I think about it. If you marry Luka won’t there be a chance of you becoming the Flameheart Clan leader?”
Tessa asked Miko.
“That’s….actually not impossible. I’m surprised that you were able to realize that.”
Kristen started petting his sister’s head.
“Maybe you do have something inside this big head.”
“Move your hand before you lose it.”
Tessa growled.
“To answer your question, it is possible. However, if I were to go through the trouble of doing that, why stop there?”
Miko smiled.
“Why not just become the leader of all three clans?”
The twins’ eyes widened when they heard what he said. They stared at him for a while before grinning.
“I like that. You should just set that as your goal. We’ll support big bro 100% all the way.”
“For once I agree with her. If you want to conquer the three clans I’m willing to help.”

They seemed excited by their brother’s words.
“The the leader of the three clans huh? What a grand ambition.”
The three of them turned around and saw Joesph with a smile on his face.
“It’s great to have grand ambitions, they can serve as motivation to become a better person. Right, Luka?”
Luka stepped from behind him and faced Miko and others. She smiled when she saw the twins.
“Kristen, Tessa it’s been a while.”
“Big sis!”
Tessa ran up and hugged Luka.
“Hm?”
This surprised Miko, especially when he saw Kristen greet Luka with a face full of smiles.
(That Kristen is actually smiling with someone outside the family? That anti-social brat?)
He thought.
“Then again he did get along with Hina and the others…..Even so, something’s fishy.”
He approached the three.
“Since when have you three been so close?”
“We’ve always been close. It’s just that you were going through too much of an emo phase to realize.”
Luka jabbed at Miko.
“Luka has been our senior since she was attending junior academy. She still looks out for us even though she’s in the senior academy now.”
Kristen explained.
“Big bro, Luka is very popular you know? There’s countless guys trying to get her attention everyday.”
Tessa then moved closer to whisper in Miko’s ear.
“If you don’t act fast someone might snatch her up.”
“He’ll snatch up a bullet to the head if that happens.”
Miko instantly replied. His reply caused Luka and his siblings to freeze in place.
“Um…Huh?”
Tessa started looking between Miko and Luka. For some reason Luka started blushing. Seeing this, the twins huddle up together.
“Hey, what’s going on here? I planned on teasing them but I never expected this outcome.”
“It seems that a lot of things have changed since we were gone. To think that our brother reacted like that.”
“Ahem.”
Joesph interrupted their meeting.
“While I’m all for everyone getting along, I’m sure we’re all short on time here. So I think it would be wise if we get started.”
“My apologizes.”
“My bad.”
Miko and Luka apologized. The twins on the other hand stared at him with curiosity.
“Who is he? A servant?”
“Tessa, that’s rude. Even if it is true you shouldn’t ask with such a tone.”
Kristen replied.
(They asked the strongest person in the empire if he’s a servant….These two move by their own pace as always I see.)
Miko laughed in his head.
“You two, this is my clan’s progenitor, Joesph Flameheart.”
Luka introduced Joesph to the twins.
“Well, you’re not wrong. I was a servant of your progenitor Augustus Dragna.”
“…..So basically, you’re an old geezer.”
“Tessa, my progenitor is currently the strongest person in the empire.”
“I see. My bad.”
Tessa readjusted her tone.
“A super old geezer.”
“Pfft hahaha!”
To everyone’s surprise Joesph burst out laughing. He placed his on Tessa’s head.
“You remind me of my master. He always spoke his mind and made wise cracks regardless of the potential consequences.”
He nodded.
“I like you, do you want to learn a few things from this old geezer.”
“Nah, I’m good. My mother and grandmother are the only masters I recognize. Ah, there is another person but she’s special.”
Tessa brutally turned down Joesph. Yet, he only laughed again.
“I see. That’s too bad.”
(Well, I doubt I can teach her much anyway. The death energy dwelling in her body is not my forte. Looks like she takes after Hel more than Augustus or Tiamat.)
He then looked at Kristen.
(This one is like a demon incarnate. He reminds me of a True Devil like Beelzebub and Lucifer.)
He nodded.
“My master have some powerful descendants indeed.”
He clasped his hands together.
“Now then, let’s change our setting.”
Joesph clapped and Miko and others could feel like the world was moving under their feet at a rapid pace, yet they didn’t feel like they themselves were moving. Before they knew it they were in a completely different place.
“Oi!”
At that moment Ishma, who was on Miko’s waist, suddenly took her human form along with Regis.
“Where the hell did you take us, Joey?! You better not be planning something!”
Ishma pointed at Joesph and shouted.
“Oh, Ishma. I wasn’t able to greet you before but it’s really been a while. I honestly thought that you would be stuck underground until Lord Ajax comes to free you.”
“Don’t change the subject! Where are we?!”
“We’re in a separate space. What I’m about to teach Miko can’t be done at the clan’s Residence after all. I don’t want to accidentally blow up anywhere, hence we’re here.”
Joesph looked at a bit upset.
“Also, why does it feel like you don’t trust me?”
“Because I don’t.”
Ishma approached Miko.
“He’s my only chance to become free from this stupid sword. I’m not taking any chances with people like you.”
“I appreciate the concern, but I’m fine.”
Miko pushed Ishma behind him and faced Joseph.
“Show me what you want to teach me.”
Joesph nodded.
“There’s only two things I want to teach you. After that you’re on your own. Whether you catch on or not is up to you.”
He pointed at Miko.
“They both have to do with something you’ve been neglecting for a while, Vita. It’s great that you’ve gotten great at magic but don’t forget that when every other power failed you Vita was there when you needed it. Yet, you’ve neglected it and haven’t improved one bit. It’s a waste really, especially since you’re more suited for Vita than magic and alchemy.”
It was like Joesph was lecturing Miko, which caused him to think.
(It’s true that I’ve been neglecting my Vita training and focused solely on improving my magic…I see. So this is what Kirika meant when she said that this training would improve my swordsmanship. If I implement Vita into my daily training than my overall physical abilities will reach the next level.)
Miko nodded.
“I’ve acknowledged your words and believe that you are right. However, I was never thought Vita. I merely discovered it while training my body in hopes to make up for my lack of magical abilities. Because of this, no one has been able to teach me Vita since the way I practiced it is different than most so my foundation is different.”
Joesph nodded.
“It was a smart decision on their part for not trying to teach you the orthodox way. That would only negatively effect you, which is why I won’t teach you the orthodox techniques and teach you something that would make use of the Vita skills that you discovered on your own.”
He laughed.
“If you’re able to learn them then you’ll be no different from a cheat.”
