《Young Adversary》60th Adversary: Various Movements

The world of Mundus is a world that is deeply connected to Earth. Having originally being one, the two worlds somewhat mirror each other. The main differences between the two are their size and the fact that one houses mystical beings.
Mundus, just like Earth, has seven continents. These continents are the God, Demon, Beast, Silver, Gold, Day, and Night continents. The names of each continent best describe the continent itself, except for the Silver and Gold continents. The God Continent is crawling with the descendants of True Gods, while the Demon Continent is crawling with their rival counterparts, this is just two examples of the state of the continents. The Silver Continent which Miko currently resides, along with the Gold Continent are predominantly human continents. While the Night and Day Continents are neutral grounds where all races reside, but not in harmony.
Currently, on the Gold Continent, there was a large desert that had sand that was as red as blood. This desert was known as the Blood Desert. In this desert two persons, were seen walking through the hellish sandstorms of the desert.
“Hey, do you know why this desert is the color of blood?”
Asked one of the persons. This person was dressed in a dark colored vest with a red dress shirt underneath, he had dark colored jeans with a chain on the side, high boots with buckles on it, and a pair of stylish gloves. He was extremely handsome, had a perfect mix of purple and azure hair, and bloody red eyes.
“I couldn’t care less.”
The one who responded was a beautiful woman who had a stoic look on her face. She had azure hair and blue eyes, an oval-shaped face was dressed in a warrior’s outfit that looked like it was made from a mixture of odd leather and an unknown metal, and had two swords on her right hip.
“Come on, Kirika. Aren’t you curious? Where’s your scientist spirit?”
The man asked.
“I’m a scientist, but I’m also a swordsman. I don’t feel the need to learn everything like you, Alec.”
The woman, Kirika replied.
“Sigh. Sometimes I can’t believe that you’re my older sister.”
“That makes the two of us.”
“Well, anyway. Legend has it that this place used to be a land filled with life, but it was plagued with war back then, resulting in its complete destruction. They say that so much blood was spilt here that it permanently dyed the sand. Isn’t that interesting? I wonder if it can be proven with scientific methods?”
Alec stooped down and took up a handful of sand.
“I really don’t care about that. What I want to know is why you ignored the summons to come all the way here?”
“I can ask you the same thing, my sister.”
Alec stood up and threw away the sand.
“Why did you follow me here to another continent? Aren’t you worried about Miko?”
“Miko has Momo and his parents there to protect him. Nothing will happen.”
“Really, and what if they ordered his execution?”
“Then I would cut off the head of whoever tries to carry it out.”
Kirika answered immediately.
“And you?”
“Me?”
Alec smiled and extended his hand out. A blood colored flame started flickering in his palm.
“I don’t think I really need to spell it out, do I?”

“That makes me even more confused as to why you came all the way here.”
“I don’t see why I need to report everything to you, sis-”
Alec wasn’t able to finish speaking, that was because a blade was placed against his neck.
“Don’t screw with me. Every time I let you out of my sight you cause a whole heap of trouble. Trouble that our grandfather and father always wants me to fix.”
“Hahaha….I see your point.”
Alec saw the tip of Kirika’s sword sparkle.
“Quite literally, in fact.”
Kirika moves her sword away from his neck, which made him sigh in relief.
“Now, will you tell me why you left the continent.”
“If you must know, I’m on an errand.”
“Errand? For who? Grandfather?”
“No, it’s for Nero.”
Alec and Kirika resumed their walk. The sandstorms of this desert were famous for making people lose their way and disappear forever, but Alec walked like he was sure of where he was going.
“Why are you running errands for Nero? We’re from the Tertitus branch, couldn’t he have asked someone from the Primus branch?”
“Because this has something to do with the Tertitus branch.”
Alec led his sister through the sandstorm while being rarely quiet. After a while, he stopped and clasped his hands together.
*Bam!*
A shockwave spread out and instantly caused the sandstorm to disperse.
“This is…?”
When Kirika looked in front of her, she saw an ancient temple that looked like a bull’s head.
“What is this place?”
“Behemoth’s temple.”
“?!”
Kirika looked at the temple again.
“Are you sure? That’s really our ancestor’s temple?”
Behemoth was an enormous monster that is said to have ruled the earth in primal times. It is mentioned in several writings, all which stated it to be unbeatable by mortals and could only be tamed by God. It’s said to have unimaginable strength, so much that it’s clash with its sea counterpart Leviathan is said to be able to destroy the world. No one knows what exactly it is, but it’s said to be a monster who could be a buffalo, elephant, rhino, hippo or even a dinosaur. In the end, it’s a powerful monster.
Not only that, but it’s also considered to be a demon just like Leviathan. He was a huge soldier of Satan, usually depicted as an elephant with a big round belly, waddling on two feet. He was the infernal watchman, and also presided over the gluttonous banquets and feasts. It is said that he also enjoyed a certain renown for his voice, being regarded as Hell's official demonic singer.
The Tertitus Branch of the Dragna clan had their bloodline mixed with his descendants, which made some of their members his descendants along with Tiamat and Augustus Dragna.
“According to Nero, it is. He sent me here to get something.”
Alec entered the building with Kirika behind him.
“What did he asked you to get?”
“A weapon that can be used in the war to come.”
“A weapon…..”
Kirika started to think.
“This war he’s talking about it’s not against the flamehearts, right?”
“As expected of my sister, you’re right. It’s against something he calls New Era.”
“New Era?”
“I don’t know the details myself, but…..”
Alec paused before saying-
“If they made the infamous Demon Dragon God nervous, they can’t be anything simple.”

Elsewhere, at Dragna city. Momo was at the royal palace, sitting around a table in the garden. She was reading a book and had several other books in front of her. The title of the books all had something to do with spells.
“As studious as ever I see.”
That’s when someone came walking towards her table. It was a youth who had the appearance of a teen. He had a mischievous look to him, but he was also good looking. He had purple hair like Nova and Sasha, but his was cut short, and his blue eyes were a bit darker than Momo, Nova, and Sasha’s. He was dressed in a white shirt with a laughing joker on it, dark jeans, a white and fastened belt, and black and white sneakers.
“Aeon.”
Momo frowned when she saw her cousin.
“What? Does seeing my face put you in a bad mood?”
Aeon took a seat across from her.
“Not really, it’s just that I can tell that you’re up to something.”
“How cruel. You can’t trust your older cousin? I changed your diapers when you were a baby you know?”
“You’re only 5 years older than me, so I doubt that’s true.”
Aeon only laughed in response.
“Well, I won’t deny the fact that I was up to something.”
“I’m surprised you admitted it so quickly.”
“That’s because it’s not like I’m the only one up to something. In my eyes, everyone is making moves in the secret. As it stands, a war seems very likely.”
He took up a book title “Norse Spells”.
“Krow lit a fire in a lot of people, you know. There are many in the clan who wants to destroy the Flamehearts.”
“We need to prevent that.”
Aeon nodded.
“But Momo, that’s easier said than done. The Flamehearts are descendants of warriors who received a divine blessing from the goddess of love, Aphrodite. Because of this, their emotions are far stronger than the average person. They can’t be reasoned with once they get drowned in their emotions.”
“It looks like you accepted the fact that war is unavoidable.”
Momo suddenly realized something.
“Aeon, What did you do to the Flamehearts?”
“What makes you think that I did something?”
Aeon asked with a smile.
“I didn’t do anything yet. I was just keeping an eye on them. Unfortunately, I was spotted by Darwin Flameheart.”
“Don’t provoke them.”
Momo said with a sharp gaze.
“I know….Oh, yeah.”
He suddenly looked like he remembered something.
“Miko’s betrothed was called back to the clan.”
“Luka was?
“Makes sense doesn’t it? With the way things are, the chances of her being targeted while outside the clan are high.”
“……Aeon, leave Luka alone.”
Momo said with a stern voice.
“Hey, give me some credit. I don’t go attacking kids for no reason.”
Aeon opened the spell book.
“Although, it would be different if we’re at war.”
He ignored Momo’s frowning expression.
“But I gotta say, that girl is something else. I’ve haven’t seen such talent since Miko. She’s definitely the future of the Flameheart clan.”
“Well, She is special. In our own clan, only Miko and Krul were able to beat her. Although, Rin, Ren, and Ashur aren’t that far away from the three of them.”
“That’s right. She’s exceptional.”
Aeon closed the book.
“That’s the difference between their clan and ours; quality.”
“Meaning?”
“It’s just as I said. If you remove the branch leaders and core elders, the Flamehearts beat us in quality while we beat them in numbers.”
Momo started to think about it.
“What you said does sound correct, now that I think about it. I mean, their ordinary members are stronger than ours, and their servants are better.”
“Darwin Flameheart is a monster, Jeffery is a monster, and let’s not forget our aunt by marriage. The Flameheart clan is crawling with monsters.”
Aeon put on a serious look.
“And then there’s that legend.”
“Legend?”
Momo thought about it before a frightened look appeared on her face.
“Are you implying that you think that he’s still alive? There’s no way, he was confirmed to have died during the final war against the Coalition Army of Higher Beings.”
“I hope so. But why is there a rumor that he’s alive? Let me tell you Momo, every rumor has some truth to it.”
Aeon said seriously.
“If that man is still alive and we go to war with the Flamehearts, there’s no surviving this. Gramps, Krow, all the branch leaders, and him. Both sides will be eliminated.”
The Demon’s Nest. A lone figure appeared in the special space where the prison was located. This sudden appearance caused all the guards to approach the prison entrance and meet them. It wasn’t because the person came without warning, it was because of what identity the person had.
“Lord Krow.”
A man who was wearing the warden’s uniform greeted Krow.
“May I ask the reason for your sudden visit?”
Asked the warden.
“I’m here to meet with someone, one of the inmates.”
“I’m afraid that’s impossible. The inmates must never meet anyone from the outside. No one is an exception to this rule, even you.”
“I see. Then could you pass this along for me. Their name is on it.”
He took an envelope and showed them. The warden looked at his assistant and indicated for him to take the letter.
“We’ll deliver it.”
Krow showed a bright smile.
“ I see, thank you.”
He then left without saying another word. With his departure, the rest of the guards went back to their posts. The warden looked at his assistant.
“Destroy that letter. Nothing from the outside world must influence this place.”
The assistant nodded. The warden then looked at where Krow stood earlier.
“I wonder what was that all about? If he wanted to pass on a letter, he could’ve had a servant do it. There’s no need to come here himself.”
He then shook his head.
“I’ll never understand the Dragna people.”
He then entered the prison leaving his assistant with the letter. His assistant stood there for a while before opening the letter and reading it. After he did, he turned it into ash with flame magic. The ashes quickly disappeared from existence.
He then turned around and walked towards the prison.
“I’ve accepted your orders, Master Krow.”
He entered the prison and whispered a name.
“Andre Bernard.”
