Gangster’s Paradise.

It was now two weeks since Miko and the girls have entered the game in search of Ace. Of course searching for him wasn’t the only thing they did. Their goal was to get Miko to be more familiar with weapons, which he certainly did.

“Ah!”

In a certain city in the game, dozens of players were running away from something while screaming.

*BAM!*

Suddenly they were hit with a missile, which exploded and blew them away.

“Oh? These RPGs are pretty kickass.”

Behind them someone dressed in camouflage pants, combat boots, black tank top, red bandana tied around their head, and dark sunglasses, appeared holding two Grenade launchers.

Believe it or not, this was Miko.

He snapped his fingers and a virtual cigar appeared in his mouth, which he puffed before blowing out the smoke.

“You were right, Jack. It feels good to blow stuff up for no reason.”

A muscular man dressed similar to Miko, but had a beard, stooped down beside him.

“I told you. Now let’s rob some thugs.”

This was Tia.

“I think you two are taking this game too seriously.”

Said Momo, who was behind them. They turned around and looked at her.

“Like you’re one to talk.”

Momo was dressed in a fur coat, shades, designer boots, an expensive dress. That wasn’t the strangest thing, she was being carried by some muscular shirtless men.

“I have no idea what you’re talking about.”

She said, before suddenly looking across the road to see two men chatting.

“Hey, Rico, Juan! Why are you two out here chatting and not making me money?! Do you want me to break those pretty faces of yours?!”

The men flinched when they heard her voice.

“Go and find some lonely women to mooch off, you idiots!”

“Yes, ma’am!”

The men then ran to follow Momo’s orders.

“They just don’t make gigolos like they used to. It’s hard being a madam these days.”

Momo said while looking at the men run.

“You know, I think that she was born for this.”

Tia said. Miko nodded in agreement.

“Anyway, I’ve basically grasped the concept behind using every weapon available in the game.”

Miko said.

“So far the ones I’m most compatible with are swords, guns, and spears. I’m also good with others like sickles, chains, and clubs but those three feels the most comfortable in my hands.”

He switched out his RPGs for two katana swords.

“The swords that I’m most familiar with are katanas. I prefer them to sabers, and broadswords.”

“Then we can have some forged for you.”

Momo sent her lackeys away and said.

“We already have some at the palace, but I think it’s best to forge one that’s for you.”

“One? I prefer using two swords though.”

“Then we forge two.”

Momo said.

“If we want high quality katanas, then we’ll need to order them from the Wakoku Nation. That’s where they’re from after all.”

“You don’t need to do that.”

Tia cut in.

“I can just give you your regalia.”

“Regalia?”

“Regalia are weapons given to Proxies by their God Parent as proof of them inheriting their will and power.”

Momo said.

“Ah, I think I heard about something like that.”

Miko said.

“Regalia can come in any form or shape as long as it suits the Proxy. Since you’re good with a katana, your regalia might take that shape. Of course regalia can come in the form of a living thing that can take the shape of a weapon.”

Tia explained.

“Sounds awesome, but that’s only one sword. I want two high grade swords.”

Miko replied.

“Then you can add the demonic sword Ishmavael to the mix.”

Tia’s said.

“Ishmavael? What’s that?”

This time, even Momo was confused.

“It’s name of a demon that ran rampant during the war for supremacy. A trickster really. They were sealed inside a sword by their brother, who was my husband’s best friend.”

Tia explained.

“Is that sword powerful?”

Miko asked.

“Who knows. Ishma has rejected everyone who tried wielding them, sometimes even taking their lives as a price for their insolence. However, the sword itself should be of the highest quality since Ishma, who’s sealed inside was incredibly powerful. There’s no way a mediocre sword could contain them for thousands of years.”

Tia explained.

“I’m quite interested in trying it out. Where is it?”

Miko asked.

“It’s in the royal treasure under the palace. Ajax, the one who sealed Ishmavael gave it to the clan for safe keeping. However, people couldn’t resist the opportunity to control a powerful demon like that, so they tried to wield it. And the rest is just like I said earlier.”

Tia answered.

“If you really want two high grade swords I recommend using your regalia and the demon sword. As for other weapons, you can figure those out on your own.”

“We can have the Tertitus branch create some or order them from the military organization MYTH.”

Momo added.

Miko pondered their words before agreeing with what they said.

“I’ll do all that in the near future. For now, I want to test myself against Ace and see what level I’m at. If I win, then I’ll leave the game for good and practice only in real life.”

He said.

After burning the city to the ground and killing the player who controlled it, the trio moved to a different location.

This time they were in a player controlled territory that was as huge as a country. The moment they got there they immediately drew attention to themselves.

“Hey, look. Isn’t that the Three Mad Stars?”

“Mad Stars? Those rookie players who go around destroying every territory they come across?”

“They’re famous for their craziness and their ability to cause havoc they go.”

Several players recognized them and they quickly became a topic for discussion among them.

“That’s Jack the Bomber.”

Someone pointed at Tia’s avatar and said.

“He’s a mad man who’s known for blowing up stuff at random. I heard he once spent a day blowing up a city only to leave after it was burnt to the ground. He didn’t even kill the player who controlled it.”

“Then he just wanted to blow things up? That’s insane.”

Another player then pointed at Momo.

“That’s the Little Madam. I heard that she’s taken over every crime organization she came across and dabbled in every heinous activity you can think of.”

“And she’s so cute too.”

They pointed at Miko last.

“And that’s Logan the Manslayer. He’s the strangest of the three. Despite there being countless weapons in this game, he uses swords as his main weapon. He’s pretty lethal with it too.”

“I heard about him. They say that he’s able to deflect the bullets fired from a machine gun, and even cut them.”

“They say that what makes him the most dangerous is his calm demeanor when killing people close up. Considering this game is as realistic as it is, only a lunatic can do that.”

“Hahaha! They’re calling you a lunatic, Miko.”

Tia said.

“Well, what's wrong with that? If you can be called that in a game as violent as this, then it means that you’re a cut above the rest.”

Miko said.

“Great to stay positive.”

Tia said.

“But this is great. The more notorious our reputation, the more likely Ace will hear about us. He’ll also hear that we’re searching for him. He might approach us on his own.”

Momo said.

“It would be great if he did that.”

Miko said.

“We might need to increase our reputation a bit more.”

Tia suddenly said.

Miko and Momo immediately knew what she meant and smiled.

The three then turned and faced all the players in the vicinity.

“Let’s run wild again.”

Meanwhile in the lawless, Gael.

“Miko?”

The person in question, Ace was sitting in his home with Hina. Hina was still in the middle of finishing her story as she spoke.

“Yeah, I forgot to tell you, but you remember that job you took a few weeks back in Gangster Paradise? You know, the one about killing an area leader?”

Ace nodded to Hina’s question.

“Yeah, I remember. Are you saying that one of them was Miko?”

Ace asked.

“Not only Miko, but the Midnight Witch and Tiamat as well.”

“Whew~. I’m pretty awesome to have killed a goddess, even if it’s a game.”

Ace replied while throwing up a triumphant fist bump in the air.

“Yeah, they want to kill you.”

Hina said.

“Oh….Well, I guess that’s a warp on my life.”

Ace slowly brought his hand back to his side.

“But only in the game though.”

Hina said.

“And the legend continues!”

Ace once again fist pumped the air.

“You should really care about your life more, but whatever.”

Hina said.

“Anyway, they’re desperately hunting you down. I want you to go meet them.”

“Why?”

“Because it would allow you to get to know Miko. I’m sure you’ll find him interesting too. Who knows, you two might become friends.”

“I’m not really interested.”

“Tiamat is really beautiful. There’s a chance you might meet her.”

“…….I’m listening.”

“Here’s a photo I took in secret.”

Hina threw Ace a photo. He caught it and looked at it.

“………”

After a few seconds of silence, he suddenly took off and ran towards his room.

“Have fun.”

Hina said while continuing to work on her story. Shortly after she got a message on her phone. She smiled when she read it.

“Sora’s coming home.”
