Miko and Tia stood face to face with each other both with smiles on their faces.

“What now?”

Miko asked.

“First, could you prepare a bag for me?”

Tia asked.

“What for?”

Suddenly her face looked paled.

“I think I drank too much.”

She said while placing her hand at her mouth.

“Here, Tia!”

At that moment, Momo descended from the sky and handed her a paper bag. Tia immediately took it and started throwing up in it.

“Why are you here?”

Miko asked Momo, while ignoring the vomiting goddess.

“I saw the gigantic magic circle and heard you two making the Proxy vow. I knew you would be here, so I came running.”

Momo responded.

“I’m surprised you chose to become a Proxy. Looks like Tia was right.”

She said.

“Yeah. I have my own plans that needs her power.”

Miko said while looking at his hand.

“Not bad, I can feel monstrous power dwelling inside me. However, it seems like I can’t use it all at once. Seems that I’ll need to take my time and learn them.”

He said.

“T-That’s right.”

Tia lifted her head out of the bag.

“I forgot that Bacchus wine was the strongest wine in the world second only to Ninkasi’s. I shouldn’t have drank it so fast.”

She looked at Momo.

“Why are you fine?”

“Because I cast a spell that tricks my brain into thinking that I’m sober.”

Momo lifted two fingers and formed the peace sign.

“Hurray for spells!”

“Ah, I forgot I could do that.”

A light flashed over Tia’s body and she finally looked fine again.

“Yay, for magic!”

She formed the peace sign as well.

“Yay!”

The two cheered.

“Sorry for interrupting your celebration, but there’s a new Proxy here without any training wheels. If it goes on like this, he’ll crash you know?”

Miko said.

“Just wear your helmet and you’ll be fine.”

Tia responded.

“Not if I crash into a moving truck.”

“Hmm, you gotta point.”

Tia lifted her finger.

“Alright, its class time.”

Momo snapped her fingers after mumbling something under her breath, and they were suddenly in a classroom.

“Sensei, I don’t understand!”

Momo raised her hand and said.

She and Miko were sitting behind some school desks, and dressed in school uniforms.

“That’s because I have said anything yet.”

Tia was in front of them with a whiteboard behind them, and a retractable stick in her hand. She was dressed in a white blouse with the the top buttons unbuttoned, tight short skirt, and black stockings. Her overall look was one of a sexy teacher.

“Sensei, Miko is looking at you with a naughty gaze!”

Momo raised her hand and said.

“Sensei, it can’t be helped; you’re too hot!”

Miko responded.

“I’ll allow it.”

Tia said. She used the stick to point at the board.

“Now class, it’s time for Proxy 101. Get their notebooks ready and take notes.”

She said.

“First is, what is a Proxy? Momo!”

She pointed at Momo with the stick. Momo stood up and spoke.

“Proxies are beings chosen by higher beings like Gods, Demons, Heroes and beasts who took part in the War For Supremacy, to be their representatives. A Proxy can belong to any race, however after being chosen, their body changes to fit their new powers. Thus a lot of Proxies become mixed raced over time, even if they were born as a purebred of a certain race.”

“Correct. Have an apple.”

Tia threw Momo a golden apple which made her eyes sparkle.

“For example, let’s say that you were a full blooded demon; after you become my Proxy your body would change into that of a dragon god so that you can properly use my abilities.”

Tia added.

“Because of this your DNA would also change to match mine. Meaning that your descendants would inherit your genes, but some of mine as well.”

“So that’s why you Higher Beings are called proxy’s God Parents. We basically become your children.”

Miko said.

Tia nodded.

“Now, who can tell me the rules gods have to follow when picking a Proxy?”

“Me!”

“Momo.”

Momo stood up.

“A higher being can only have one Proxy at a time, both parties need to give their mutual consent before a Proxy contract can be drawn, and a Proxy contract can only be broken upon the death of one of the parties involved.”

“Correct. Here’s another apple.”

Momo eagerly caught the golden apple and started rubbing her face on them.

“You didn’t pay attention in school did you?”

Tia asked Miko after seeing that he didn’t respond to none of the questions.

“I quit going to the academy 6 years ago. I still advance grades by default though.”

Miko said.

“But I at least know about Apostles.”

“Oh! Apostles are loyal followers of a Proxy who pledge their allegiance to the Proxy and their God Parent, in return for the Higher Being’s blessing which will grant them some of their power! Only someone truly loyal to the Proxy can be made their Apostle!”

“Correct! Here’s a rare blue diamond.”

Tia threw the diamond which Momo dived and caught like a catcher.

“I’m rich! With this I won’t have to borrow money from those two idiots!”

She shouted.

After which, the classroom disappeared and they reappeared in the tree.

“Well, that’s basically everything you need to know at the moment. Now that you have your information, what do you plan to do next?”

Tia asked.

“Before that, I have something I want to ask.”

Miko said.

“What am I?”

His question came as a surprise to Tia and Momo. He continued.

“I know myself more than anyone. I know that I’m not human.”

He said.

“If you trace my heritage, you’ll see that I have an extravagant lineage.”

He started to count off his fingers.

“From my mother side, my grandfather, your grandson, has inherited your genes which make him part Dragon, sea god, and chaos entity. While my mother’s mother is the daughter of a Higher being making her a true Demi-Goddess. And then my father is a demon.”

He revealed his complex lineage.

“Everyone originally thought that I’m the way I am because of the various bloodlines mixing together. However, that was proven false after the birth of my siblings. It became apparent that I was the problem, the abnormality.”

He looked at Tia.

“I am not a human, and the chances of me being a god is low. If I had to chose, I’m like a mixture of a demon and a beast. However, I’m not sure. That’s why I’m asking you who is the Matriarch of our clan. What am I?”

“Looks like you won’t be able to move forward unless I answer your question.”

Miko nodded in reply to Tia.

“Alright, I’ll be honest.”

She took a breath and said-

“You’re an freak of nature.”

When Momo heard that, her eyes became sharp.

“You can glare all you want, but it’s the truth.”

Tia remained unbothered.

“Miko, your existence goes against the very order of the universe. To be blunt, you’re not suppose to exist.”

She said.

“Among us Higher Beings, we have a name for existences like you.”

She smiled and said-

“Irregulars.”

“Irregulars?”

Momo was confused because it was the first time she’s ever heard that word used in such a manner.”

Tia nodded.

“Beings who are born outside the laws of the universe, under different conditions. They come in all forms shapes and size, but are all destined to destroy the balance of the world just by existing. We call them Irregulars or glitches in reality.”

She said.

“Destroy the balance of the world? Isn’t that over exaggerating?”

Momo asked.

“Over exaggerating? There was once a sword that suddenly appeared in the world, without anyone forging it, during the War For Supremacy. This sword had the ability to cut through everything in the world, no exceptions. That’s right. It could cut anything. Even the heavens and the hells. In fact, there was once an incident where the world of the Japanese gods, Takama-ga-hara, was split down the middle by this sword. It was even used to slay the Buddhist god of hell Yama (Enma in Japan). Because of its unnatural sharpness, this sword was referred to as the True Sword. However, it was destroyed by the god of destruction, Shiva.”

Tia explained.

“True Sword?”

Said Miko as if questioning the title.

“Irregulars all have a title which best described them, and it always has ‘ True’ at the beginning.”

Tia explained.

“If that’s the case, what’s my title?”

Miko asked.

“Who knows?”

Tia shrugged.

“I know that you’re an Irregular, but I don’t know what’s your true nature. I know that you have some powerful menacing power inside you, but I don’t know what kind of power it is.”

She said.

“From the way you talk, it seems like no one else expect you know that I’m an Irregular.”

Miko said.

“Correct. I hid your existence by making it look like your power is from your lineage, but I don’t think I can hide it for forever.”

Tia said.

“Is it a bad thing if the other higher beings find out?”

Momo asked.

“Yeah. Irregulars are extremely dangerous. They threaten the very survival of us higher beings. Hence we tend to try to eliminate them from early stages as a precaution, before they grow beyond our control.”

Tia said.

“In fact, if the others learnt that I chose an Irregular as my Proxy and didn’t report it, it might cause a huge conflict between me and them.”

She said with a laugh.

“So now that you have your answer, tell me your next plan.”

She said.

“My plan huh?”

Miko paused a bit before speaking again.

“For now I want to create my own faction: my personal team.”

He said.

“There will be many who objects to my appointment to being your Proxy. While I can depend on my parents and grandparents to back me, it would be ideal if I obtain power that’s solely my own. That way, I won’t end up as a tool for anyone and will be able to stand on my two feet.”

“I see. That’s a good decision.”

Tia smiled.

“I’m looking forward to seeing what kind of team you’ll gather.”
