《Chronicles of Sora: Ruler of Rules》Chapter 59.2 - Go *Die*

Sora’s POV
I told everyone how I came to this world – playing the game, Ruler of Rules. This is not the first time someone has come here through this route. In fact, Crayford told me it is quite common. There are three ways to enter this world – reincarnation, transported and being summoned. It doesn’t matter how you come here, everyone passes through the same process I went through – the damned cricket. Everyone who comes to this world gets to create their own body, power and select guardians.
Crayford chose human body and no Guardians. He hasn’t told me what his power is – apparently he wants to surprise me. I can only imagine that his power must be very ‘OP’ since he did not spend any points on body or Guardians. After selecting everything, Crayford was born into this world.
He spent his first twenty years like any otaku would upon entering a fantasy world. Hatred for adventures wasn’t that bad when he came to this world – from what he tells me it was limited to a small minority. He joined a guild, got familiars, became famous…got married, had kids…. hired as a tutor for the crown prince of a kingdom…yadayadayadayada…we all know what happens next. I don’t know the explicit details of his story – but it is probably like any other fantasy novel.
Likewise, Crayford didn’t press for details about my Guardians or where they are right now. Even if he asked me, I probably wouldn’t be able to tell him. Though I do know they are alive – faintly.
As per Crayford, the total number of ‘adventurers’ (or let’s call them outsiders / people from another world) is about a thousand. Nine hundred live within the Alliance and they are known as registered. However, there are ‘unregistered’ members – who live outside the Alliance. This is why his guess was about a thousand – he had no idea what the exact number is.

Most of these adventurers are normal living creatures with minor body variations. Something as drastic-dramatic as me (I told them about my Frankenstein-slime body but I did not mention my missing precious – it will be too embarrassing for me) has never existed amongst the adventurers. Even the most minor of bodily changes has painful side-effects. He told me about an adventurer who was born as an elf with dragon magic ability – the body exploded upon using advanced magic. I can only pray the same does not happen with me. Nonetheless, I am happy for my unique status – although it has yet to be clarified whether this uniqueness is an advantage or not.
I am after all level 11 and my stats are already so ridiculous. This may mean I have low growth potential in the future. I could ask Crayford about this but till now I haven’t shared my stat details with Crayford – I don’t exactly trust people that easily; especially if they claim to be my disciple and then annoy me. Crayford and I may get along to some degree but he is very difficult to read. Maybe it is because he knows me so well? Also, when I say ‘difficult to read’, I don’t mean his thoughts but his intentions; is he really trying to just be friends with me? Or does he want to use me? Everyone uses everyone in their own way – but the question is will my safety be compromised. So far, I have no reason to doubt him….so I will not think about this too much.
Crayford and his disciples have been particularly interested to hear about my visit to Feladonia. It was the only topic in which the disciples spoke – though they asked about the layout and security arrangements and then began talking about blowing the city up…. I am guessing they are going to be attacking Feladonia soon. Maybe, I can sneak in during the battle and look for my precious?

I am not sure how long we kept talking but we (except me) tired ourselves to the point, Crayford decided to sleep and progress to the lower floors the next day.
Since, I don’t feel sleepy so sleeping makes no sense to me….however all this talking and processing new information about this world does mentally exhaust me…. I got my minion-goblins to set up soft bedding material around the dying bonfire for everyone. Everyone was very thankful – but they turned down my offer – they had their own sleeping bags and tents (Wth! Modern day tents? Why am I not surprised!!) which looked so much more comfortable than the useless bedding prepared by my minions.
The three big warriors entered their tents and were out cold instantly – thankfully they don’t snore. As I was about to leave the party to sleep, I notice Claire was entering her tent wearing a one piece night gown…I will only say this much….it clung to her body as every night gown should cling to a woman’s body.
Didn’t I say my mind is exhausted? Only a woman’s touch can refresh a man’s fatigued mind…..Muahahahahaha >…I can’t help myself…after being surrounded by ugly monsters for so long, she is sole oasis in this parched desert!!
“WAIFU!!! LET US SLEEP TOGE….”
*SMACK*
“GO *DIE* YOU PERVERTED SKELETON!”
*CRASH*
Waifu has fists of steel… This was not the touch I was talking about….
Ah! Can someone pull my head out of the ground? Somebody? Anybody….
Ah f*ck it.

The Guild
The world is broken. The apocalypse came and went, and only a fragment of humanity is left, scrambled into an unrecognizable mess. The remainders of the earth are filled with monsters from imagination and worse. Gates open periodically, leading to alien worlds, while dungeons form from damaged minds, creating nightmares for the unsuspecting. Some might see it as the end times. A hellscape. A story of humans pushed to their breaking points, desperately grasping for the last bits of humanity as the world crumbles around them. But a few might disagree. One man, in particular, sees opportunity. A chance. A path forward, to bring humanity from the depths of despair and turn it into a victory - a luxury. To remake the world even better than it was, dragging earth forward onto the galactic stage. It will require violence, lies, betrayals, magic, more violence, and the occasional genocide. But, hey. Everything worth doing is hard, right?
