《Chronicles of Sora: Ruler of Rules》Chapter 51.1 -

Sora POV
Dammit! I can’t find my slime half. Where the hell did it go?
I cannot sense it nor can I find any traces of it. This is starting to bug me – just where the hell did it go. It isn’t that I can use it but wasn’t that the case with the skeleton bones earlier? I couldn’t use skeleton mode before but now I can. Maybe, there was a way to revert – argh! I need to find it. The number of things I need to look for keeps increasing. If this was searching for new treasure it would have been fun but heck! I am looking for things I have lost! It isn’t fun but more like work!
T_T I hate work. I miss Royal Road…so much easier there…
I already checked with the doctor but it seems he doesn’t have it.
The only person I can think of is Mizuki. She *must* know where it is but I am not going to go back up to her and ask her where is it – too troublesome to be involved with her. Look where it got Ai, the poor girl has become a Gate keeper….so troublesome. Everything is so troublesome.
I guess, after I defeat all the Gate Keepers, I will go and recover it from her. Right now, I need to test the limits of my strength….which is something better understood when I see my stats menu:

…
Something must be wrong with my eyes….
>
I have only one word to describe this…this menu is broken.
There is something very wrong with this game if a level 11 can have stats like those.
What the hell is up with these numbers? I can safely conclude the menu option is broken. …Looking at this *broken* menu will only be a waste of time. True strength can only be tested practically.
Now where in gods name is the exit to the lower floor…
“Excuse me…could you please point me to the direction to the lower floor.”
Wait a minute…I recognize these skeletons…
“You guys…Would you gentle-skeleton men be so kind enough as to show me the way to the lower floor.”
***
“Excuse me…could you please point me to the direction to the lower floor.” Sora asked a passing by group of skeletons….it was the very same bunch whom he had met earlier. “You guys…” Sora’s eyes had a very devilish look– there was a certain favour he needed to return to them. “Would you gentle-skeleton men be so kind enough as to show me the way to the lower floor.”
“Who the f*ck you?” The shark-man skeleton asked. It seemed as though he did not recognize Sora. Then again, skeletons did look terribly similar to each other. Sora was only able to recognize the group because the four skeletons were travelling in a group – a Shark head skeleton with the bone body of a humanoid, a parrot head skeleton with the bone body of a humanoid and two human skeletons.

“It seems other than politeness, I will need to teach you grammar as well.” Sora muttered. “Looks like I need to refresh their memories…”
The four skeletons didn’t even bother listening to what Sora was muttering – they just rushed at him. Who would give their enemy a chance to talk? Sora was no enemy but he certainly spoke strange (being polite is strange for monsters) which more than a justification for these dumb brutes to attack Sora.
Similar to last time Sora dodged them with the same uncanny-slow-but effective moves. After dodging the first few attacks, the skeleton group immediately recognized Sora – the idiot who messed with the orc.
“Some bones just don’t learn.” Gladus said as he released his aura. The others didn’t disapprove this time. They knew if Gladus didn’t release his aura, they wouldn’t be able to touch Sora.
Gladus’ moves became faster and sharper. However, Sora was still able to easily dodge. This perplexed the four. What happened? Previously, he was barely able to dodge – now he has no problems?
Of course, Sora would have no problems. All his stats received massive boosts since his transformation in the ice coffin – it would be silly to imagine that Sora would still be struggling. Not only did Sora’s movements become faster but he felt as though the Shark-man had become slower. This was the most obvious benefit of having a high AGI.
The other three didn’t have to be told that Gladus was struggling. They too released their ‘aura’ and jumped into the fray. However, Sora was way above these small fry, if he really intended to test his strength then he couldn’t test it against these guys. Killing an ant doesn’t prove one to be strong – it proves nothing. Sora received the same feeling when he was toying around with the four skeletons – they were no longer any threat to him. Their stats were inferior to his in every way.
[Time to finish this.] Sora said as he began utilizing his magic skills. Sora, first, began focusing on the distinct feeling the spirits gave off. It could be described as a cool and hot feeling. Unlike the time when he took the celestial orb test of strength, Sora was able to more easily call out the spirits now.
An azure blue aura engulfed Sora’s bones. It would appear as though the skeleton him were engulfed in a fiery blue flame.
Gladus and the other skeletons stopped when they saw this. The colour of an aura only mattered to the living for the dead it meant nothing. However, the thickness of the aura spoke everything regardless if one was the living or the dead. If Gladus’ aura could be described as a thin jumper sweater then Sora’s were raging flames from hell. Sora’s aura flames literally consumed him and the air surrounding him.
The four skeletons took a step back in astonishment and fear. When the weak see the strong – it is only natural to flee. The question was would Sora let them leave after what they did to him last time?
It can only be said when the group of four were found several hours later, they were disassembled in the most severe manner ever. There was no bone that had not been disconnected. It appeared as though the attacker had painstakingly taken the time to tear every ligament, pull every bone out of its socket and tidily order them in place. The four skeletons were in no shape to put themselves back together.
The goblin healer sighed when he saw this – never in his life did he see something so meticulously done. This week, he had seen enough bones-surgeries to last a life time.

Outer Sect Disciple
Gongsun Xianyuan, eleven years old, was a genius... or he should have been. Unfortunately when the Cultivator of the Wudang sect came to the village he found out that he had a rare condition that prevented him to cultivate in the arts of the sect. He didn't give up right away but in the end he had to resign himself to the truth. At first he despaired but he soon choose to let his dreams go and begin a new life. This is the tale of an untalented cultivator who had given up in his dreams of glory to live a normal life. How will his future unfold? ------------------------- My native language is neither English nor Chinese, I am writing a Xianxia novel because I like the genre. I have tried to maintain the chinese names and the form of address but I used the measurements of the international system(meters, grams, etc..) and the hour time(no incense stick, or others). It may spoil it for some but I think it would be easier both for me and the readers. Before you read keep in mind that this is a novel with a slow progress. I don't want to give any spoiler but at least a few chapters will be dedicated to his life in the village.

Yin-Yang
Mages in North America seem to have it all – typically from well-off families, and able to manipulate their environment in ways most of the world would never believe. They don’t even have to bother with the mundane details of life like housework, thanks to their sensitives, who also make a useful source for extra magical energy. After all, sensitives have no use for it themselves, and if mages weren’t meant to make use of it, then the sensitives would obviously have some way to prevent that. That a mage can transform a sensitive physically, with no restrictions beyond overall mass and basic biological viability, whereas magic tends not to work directly on any other living thing, is only further proof. And look at the way they live on their own, barely a step above animals. It’s better for them to belong to a mage. Sensitives in North America live on the edge of society and survival – typically so paranoid they avoid hospitals and anything else that could lead to being tracked, many of them with little or no education and no legal identity or existence. Mages exist, and mages want sensitives for some reason, but no one ever comes back to explain what that reason is. Waiting every day for the hunters to notice them doesn’t lead to much motivation or hope for the future. And once they’re captured, they’re the property of someone with a terrifying amount of power over them. Anything is better than capture. Mages are born to be the masters, and sensitives are born victims. Or are they? Jax’s life is turned upside-down when he’s caught by the hunters and sold to a mage. Andreas is still mourning for his previous sensitive, though, unconsciously creating a difficult standard for Jax to live up to, all the more so while still struggling to come to terms with this new reality as Andreas’ sensitive. A runaway sensitive isn’t what Van expects at the mental health centre. Is this a hunter trap, set for him and the rest of the Donovan family by the hunters? The hunters would, after all, love to see them cross the line openly and finally do something they can be charged with. Either way, Miranda’s genuinely in trouble, and he can’t just abandon her to it. Snatching a sensitive out from under the hunters and hiding her is odd behaviour for a mage – but then, Catherine is an odd mage, living in disgrace in the old servants’ quarters of her grandmother’s house, responsible for cooking and housework. Lila owes Catherine her freedom; is there a way to help Catherine achieve her own, and at what price? Tension is building between traditionally-minded mages and those advocating change, and something has to break. *** Yin-Yang includes a small amount of profanity and no graphic sex or on-screen physical violence. However, sex and gender roles and relationships within the mage/sensitive subculture are non-traditional in mainstream North American terms. The key criterion in a primary relationship is not relative sex or gender, but the pairing of mage and sensitive; given the transformation of sensitives by their mages, physical sex is non-absolute for a sensitive, and gender identity can vary as in anyone else. *** *** The way mages treat sensitives is extremely varied and, in some cases is outright abusive. The struggle against that is pretty much the point of the book. It is NOT grimdark or misery-porn! However, if you will be triggered by this, please, don't read Yin-Yang! *** Complete stand-alone novel, 153K words! Also available on Scribble Hub and as a free ebook.
