《Chronicles of Sora: Ruler of Rules》Chapter 42.1 - *Barf*

“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA” Sora woke up screaming. Sora was shivering in cold sweat. He just had a terrible nightmare – one so horrifying that it is not worth describing again. Little did Sora know – this was the start of many of his sleepless nights.
The goblin doctor looked at Sora and sighed – this one is a weird one.
Sora was staring at the ground as he tried to piece bit by bit what he saw – it could just be a nightmare or the real deal. In this game anything is possible – even the absurd. Sora shivered as he recollected what he experienced – the horror and torture in the mental and physical senses.
Just remembering it, made it hard for him to breath. Sora soon found himself gasping for breath – strange for a skeleton to want to breath like the living?
Sora bent over while using the wall as a support – he was feeling extremely nauseous. This too was strange – given that skeletons do not have any organs like the living.
Sora’s vision turned slightly hazy and then without any warning…
*BARFFFF!!*
The Goblin doctor moved two steps away from Sora.
“There….there…” An undead girl spoke as she began patting Sora’s back. “Let it all out.”
Sora began throwing up. A black cloud like vapour descended out from his mouth like a waterfall. Since it was heavier than air it settled on the ground like mist.
Sora’s eyes began watering – strange again since he is a skeleton. However, this was not tears of salted water but tears of blood (which again is strange).
“Doctor…what is wrong with me?” Sora asked in a weak and trembling voice. He slowly reached back for the bed and sat on it – he dared not to sleep for the memories were still fresh in his mind! Sora was terrified of sleeping.

The Goblin stared at Sora as if Sora was the strangest monster he had ever come across.
“You are sick. What else can it be.” The Goblin said.
“Sick?” Sora asked with a slight surprise.
“…”
“Is it even possible for a monster…a skeleton to fall sick?” Sora asked with dread – he hated sickness even in real life.
The Goblin doctor muttered something under his breath – too long has he been serving baka-patients. This one in particular has been the dumbest of the lot.
“Doc?” Sora asked again.
“Don’t ask stupid questions! Of course skeletons fall sick! Are you pretending to fall sick for the first time?” The doctor asked in a threatening manner as he grabbed in a mop.
“Barfing miasma all over the room...” The Doctor grumbled. “One assistant I asked for – just one. Did they listen to me? No! We are understaffed and under budgeted!” The Doctor began ranting.
Sora quietly sat and listened to the Doctor rant for half an hour or so. He sat perfectly still since he was scared stiff. A crazed angry doctor is the last one you want to mess with especially when you are ill with something you don’t know / understand.
The Doctor stopped ranting and sighed. “Now what do you want?”
“Will I be okay?” Sora asked.
“You…how long have you been an undead?” The Doctor asked – he was very sharp.
“Not too long ago…” Sora replied.
“And they sent you straight here?” The Doctor asked with a surprise.
Sora was not too sure what the Doctor meant by that so he just nodded.
The Doctor sighed some more – the seniors really didn’t pity him. Not only were the monsters on top sending him idiots but uneducated fools as well.

“Throwing up miasma is normal. You will be fine as long as you don’t go looking for a fight.”
“But..isn’t miasma good for me?” Sora asked with a concern – normally what is bad for Holy attributes is good for monsters. Sora is a monster.
“Too much of it is bad, especially if you have a low tolerance to it. As you have not been an undead for long, you only have a limited tolerance to it. Compared to the upper floors, the 5th Floor has higher concentration of miasma. On top of that the guy who beat you up used dark aura…now that it is out, you will be fine.”
Sora nodded he understood the explanation. In fact he was surprised that there was such a knowledgeable doctor amongst these monsters – who spoke so fluently.
“You are very wise…” Sora praised the Doctor – standard practice to sweet talk the NPC.
The Doctor looked at Sora with disgust – nothing more disgusting than a sweet talking undead. Also since monsters normally don’t adhere to manners the Goblin misunderstood Sora – this one is a very weird one, trying to flirt with a fellow male. I might be the one to throw up now; being hit on by a male skeleton. I rather jump in a lake of holy water. Because the Doctor misunderstood Sora he angrily shouted, “I am not that wise! You are the fool here! I have never seen such a stupid skeleton….You….You have Dragon’s dung for brains! No that would be too good for you! You have Dung Mole’s dung for brains….”
The undead girl in the room (whom no one was paying attention to) covered her ears as the doctor began insulting Sora. The insults went on for an additional five minutes – progressively becoming worse and worse.
Sora stood frozen in shock – what did I say that invited such a reaction?
“Go the Floor Master and report your situation to him!”
Sora nodded meekly – scary doctor. In all of Royal Road he had never met a NPC with such a strange personality. Royal Road NPCs were pleasant to talk to whether they were evil or good. None of them abused Sora the way the Doctor did.
“See you!” Sora said on his way – just to be polite.
“Come back here broken again and I will refuse to fix you!” The Doctor declared – he didn’t want to deal with flirtatious male undead patients. The emphasis first being on male and then on undead.
“Also take your friend with you and both of you leave!” The Doctor barked as Sora was about to step out of the infirmary.
Sora froze, for the third time – did he say friend?
Sora’s slowly turned his head. To the right of Sora, in the corner of the room, stood the unnoticed undead girl; Hōritsu Ai.
“Lolicon-sama!” The undead girl spoke with a smile.
There was complete dread in Sora’s eyes.
“Is Lolicon-sama still no good? Ai thought of many other names but Lolicon-sama sounded best. Is it still no good?” Ai asked with a disappointed expression.
"Then is Hentai Heika better or Ero Meijin? Ai cannot choose."
Sora threw up some more hearing the last few words.
