Day 2 of the tournament starts off with the roaring of a massive audience in the stands screaming in excite as soon to be epic battle will begin.

The first match of the day starts off with Zao Ning versus Wang Fang. Instead of forfeiting immediately after the fight begun, Fang Wang begins to run towards Zao Ning and initiates a bright ability.

Zao Ning is surprised at first but soon he lets out an arrogant “hmph” as he looks down on his opponent.

Fang Wang notices the disregard in Zao Ning eyes and grits his teeth in anger. Coming close to Zao Ning, Fang Wang finishes the casting time of his most powerful ability.

“Don’t look down on me dumbass! Now die, SEARING ART OF THE SUN CROW!”

Yelling as he casts out a golden crow from within his chest, Fang Wang immediately spits out a mouthful of blood due to the backlash of the spell. His 5th Mortal Realm body is not truly capable of wielding the full power of the Ki ability.

As soon as the golden crow emerges from Fang Wang’s chest, an intense heat emits from it that even the audience can feel. Gasps echo throughout the whole arena as the audience stirs to Fang Wang’s aggressive start to the fight.

“Someone dares challenge the evil genius Zao Ning? Does he have a death wish?!”

“What do you mean, maybe Fang Wang has a chance, that Ki ability is horrifying!”

“Well let us see how this….. What is that sound?!”

What they are referencing to a very strong ability that Zao Ning has hardly used because it was too strong and would be boring for him to fight with, but at the moment, Zao Ning wants to flex his power a little.

Brain Numbing wave is a peak Mortal Realm Heartforce ability that makes his opponents incapacitated with only a shout.

That is only if Zao Ning’s heart is stronger than his opponents, which in this case, Zao Ning’s heartforce only becomes stronger as he absorbs more of his bloodline.

Brain Numbing Wave hits Fang Wang’s soul heart like a tsunami and causes his brain to go numb.

Plop!

Fang Wang falls to the ground, unconscious after Zao Ning’s attack on his heart. The golden crow, having no one to control it, flies forward in a predictable pattern and Zao Ning simply steps to the side and avoids it.

The golden crow flies away from the platform and hits the wall of the arena, exploding in a massive ball of flames.

WHOOOOSH~!

The flames whoosh through the arena and causes massive black, burnt streaks to cover most of the other platforms.

The Elder’s are fast to react and calm down the flames before they reach the audience.

Seeing that Fang Wang is unmoving, the Elder presiding over the match throws their hair in the air.

“Winner, Zao Ning!” the Elder yells loudly.

The crowd isn’t quick to react as everything happened so fast and Fang Wang lost just because Zao Ning opened his mouth.

Zao Ning doesn’t care if the audience reacts though and coolly makes his way to the stands, not using his lightning ability though, just normal walking.

All eyes are staring at the overwhelming disciple named Zao Ning… and Zao Ning couldn’t be happier.

They have merely saw a glimpse… Trust me Heaven’s Pavilion, you will taste all of my true power!

Zao Ning has now defeated 2 of the top 10 disciples in heaven’s Pavilion. You might be wondering who the second one was, but if you recall, Zao Ning beat down a 5th Mortal Realm that was Elder Mo’s disciple.

This person was one of the top 10 disciples in Heaven’s Pavilion too. That person is even in the participant’s stands, quaking at the sight of Zao Ning after he recalls the broken nose he received from Zao at the 4th Mortal Realm.

After the shock and awe from Zao Ning and Fang Wang’s fight, the Elder’s calm down the audience and prepare for the next fight.

Soon, 10 people lay defeated and 10 people stand ready for the next round. Zao Ning is one of them that stand ready on the platform, ready for the next round.

This round will also include 1v1 matches, with there being 5 winners and 5 losers, 1 fight each.

This time though, Zao Ning is the last one to be called to fight, against a 4th Mortal Realm nonetheless.

Welp, time for another easy win. How should I beat him this time, with Shocking Bare Palm, or with Brain Numbing Wave again?

As Zao Ning makes it to the platform, the Elder begins to match. Zao Ning notices that his opponent has no intentions to fight and is getting ready to forfeit, but Zao Ning doesn’t want that, using Brain Numbing Wave again.

His opponent immediately clutches their ears and falls down to their knees.

When they finally go unconscious, Zao Ning is satisfied and leaves the platform, winning his match.

People look at Zao Ning in disdain and horror as his opponent obviously had no intention of fighting, but Zao Ning mercilessly attacked the fellow disciple.

“He deserved the beating if he had no intention to fight against the odds.” Zao Ning says aloud so a good majority of people in the arena can hear it.

“How can you expect to be a cultivator if you give up that easily when facing a stronger power. He is weak minded, hearted, and physically weak as well. Do not blame me for ending his journey in the tournament like I did.” Zao Ning finishes with an authoritative voice.

Some people agree with Zao Ning and nod in approval, but some also still disagree and boo as Zao walks towards the stands.

What I said stands, she would’ve made it nowhere with such a weak mind and heart. Hopefully they lose the idea of even making it to the Spirit Realm.

Now, only 5 people stand, with the other 5 still earning a chance to get an inheritance, but no more rewards after that.

“Now, with the final five being Yu Yan, Zao Ning, Lang Wu, Ye Ling, and Lo Fan, we will being the final round!”

“The final round will consist of a… BATTLE ROYALE BETWEEN THE FIVE!”

The Elder yells the type of battle that will be held for the final round and the crowd starts cheering so hard that the whole arena shakes.

A disappointed look goes across Zao Ning’s face as he hears the words Battle Royale.

Well that's overdone and boring, well I guess I will end this quickly so I can get my reward and begin to act upon my revenge!

A spark shoots across Zao Ning’s pupils as he thinks about the sweet revenge he will soon dish out.
