《Young Master Has a Daughter》Chapter 244 - Immortal's Curse

"I am an immortal..." the Immortal Willow Tree weakly muttered to itself as it looked at the one leading the Heavenly Machine Gods. "To think an immortal like me would fall to inferior, artificial lifeforms like you."
The Immortal Willow Tree's Divine Phantasm was slowly breaking as a result of its dying state. It looked at its hands and feet and saw it slowly turn into dust with a rich amount of spiritual and divine energy emanating from it.
"I survived a god... only to be defeated by inferior creatures like you..."
Now, the Immortal Willow Tree's hands and feet had finally turned into dust and were now slowly traveling up to its shoulders and thighs. It estimated that in just a few seconds, its entire body would finally disappear.
Somehow, it couldn't accept the results. It was so close to getting one of the Twelve Heavenly Grand Treasures. It was almost within its reach but now... it no longer had any chance of taking possession of the treasure for it was now dying.
If it had given its all in eliminating the mortals in the first place, perhaps, it would be them who was in its position. However, it had grown arrogant and didn't put the mortals in its eyes. It only tried to eliminate them on the bare minimum to conserve its energy. By trying to save its spiritual and divine energy, it had instead wasted more of it.
It was too late for regrets now. It was no longer going to have any second chances anymore.
While the Immortal Willow Tree's body was slowly turning into dust, it set its eyes on its opponents.
It looked at the leader of the Nature Spirits;
The sect master and the supreme commander of the Law God Sect;

The leader of the War Deities;
The leader of the Supremes;
The leader of the Atlanteans;
The leader of the Mind Immortals;
The leader of the Titans;
And then the leader of the Heavenly Machine Gods, the one who was responsible for the end of its life.
With a hateful voice, the Immortal Willow Tree said spitefully, "I shall place a curse upon all of you! For slaying the life of an immortal as a mortal, you will have a miserable end! One without any glory or dignity! Remember this day for you have doomed yourselves! I assure you that!"
The people whom the Immortal Willow Tree had laid its eyes on had a grave look on their faces, looking uncomfortable except for the leader of the Heavenly Machine Gods who didn't show any emotion the whole time.
Half of the Immortal Willow Tree's torso had finally turned into ashes and while the remaining part of its body was slowly disintegrating. Even so, the Immortal Willow Tree continued speaking malevolently, "You will regret this day. Going against an immortal like me is the biggest mistake you've ever done in your life. Live the rest of your life in fear while being haunted by my curse! Let us see how long you shall last!"
The Immortal Willow Tree began laughing to itself as its head which was now the only remaining part of its body had finally turned into ashes, effectively killing it permanently.
After its death, its world inside the Divine Phantasm had also been destroyed, sending them back to where they were before being brought inside the Divine Phantasm.
With the immortal's death, its spiritual and divine energy had spread all over the Thousand Mountain Valley. The dried-up ground was no longer dry while trees similar to the trees inside the Divine Phantasm started growing all over the place, making all of them wary at first since they thought the Immortal Willow Tree had come back again.

The Thousand Mountain Valley which was nearing its death had finally regained its life after the Immortal Willow Tree's death.
The leader of the Heavenly Machine God looked at its destroyed cylindrical arm. His arm could only use the Immortal Slaying Cannon once... the Immortal Slaying Cannon that he used before was the inferior version of the original one.
He removed his destroyed cylindrical arm before replacing it with a metallic, humanoid arm. He would have to send his arm cannon to repairs before he could use that again. Not that it mattered though since the immortal was finally gone. There was no need for his Immortal Slaying Cannon anymore to deal with the others if they decided to get on his way to the treasure.
"The immortal is finally gone," the Law God Sect's supreme commander muttered as he looked at his sect master. "With our common enemy gone, everyone will probably start attacking each other for the treasure soon."
The sect master frowned at that.
"You're right. The alliance was only formed because of the immortal. Now that it is gone..."
Before he could finish his words, they all felt a pulsation of divine energy deep within the Thousand Mountain Valley. They looked towards the source only to see a pillar of light rising up from there to the sky.
"That is...?"
The leader of the Heavenly Machine Gods narrowed its eyes.
"Target found. The Heavenly Grand Treasure has now awakened."

Keter
They called him "Keter"; The Top-Most; The Crown. An unsurpassable, unstoppable, unkillable soldier. Etched with a twisted set of morals and studded by an impossible drive for lachesism, Keter terrorized the world for ages. But time, you see, is a most patient thing. As sure as it gives, so does it take. Even the Crown saw the eternal spindle drawing on him. He blinked, for the last time, and saw a world anew. Synopsis. So, basically, I’ve gotten tired of all these stale mcs that keep popping up left right and center. Either they are painstakingly good-natured or horribly written ‘evil’ characters. So, here’s my take on the concept of a Villain. Someone ruthless, cunning, and not shy of seeking darker means to an end. Hell, as long as it’s effective, he’ll prefer the blacker side of business. The new world will be, like many others, one in a medieval-type setting with traces of magic and the like; though I hope to make better use of this than most others who simply steal ideas from classical novels or other sources.

Being the God of Hell is a bother [On temporary hiatus]
A group of people dies in a plane crash, but their souls are snatched away by an entity called the Highest One, that wants to make them the gods of a new world in order to guide and control its population. One of the passengers, Viktor, protests this, saying that the people of the new world should be entitled to find their own path in life without immortal beings ruling over them. The Highest One then ask Viktor if he really has that much faith in humanity, and after Viktor answer positively he made him into the God of Hell, tasked with redeeming the souls of the damned, as a way to test Viktor's faith in humanity... EDIT: I'm reworking this novel a bit, changing the first chapters from the "screenplay" form to standard prose. I should be done and start a shedule of one chapter per week at the end of february.
