《Young Master Has a Daughter》Chapter 237 - Pierced!

Though the Immortal Willow Tree knew that they were aiming for the Willow Trees, there was nothing it could do but let them eliminate the minions it spawned.
It didn't matter though. Even if they killed a hundred of its minion, the Immortal Willow Tree could make another hundred of its minions. If they killed a thousand, it would make two thousand Willow Trees. If they eliminated a hundred thousand, then it would make a million Willow Trees.
Millions of extremely tiny seeds shot out from the Immortal Willow Tree's hair and scattered all over the place. Within a few seconds of contact with the ground, millions of Willow Trees grew considerably and started attacking the cultivators near them.
With that move of it, the originally somewhat orderly army had been thrown into chaos as many Willow Trees suddenly grew from right between their ranks and attacked them.
The Immortal Willow Tree watched the scene of chaos with an approving look on its face. After that stunt, it would take him a while before it could summon another million of Willow Trees once again. However, it would seem that the current number of Willow Trees was enough to eliminate most of the seven world's army.
As for the stronger ones in that army, the Immortal Willow Tree would deal with them itself.
"Do not carelessly use your supreme art towards the willow trees in your ranks! You risk hitting the others with your supreme arts!"
"Only those with great control of their supreme arts should eliminate the Willow Trees! As for the rest of you lot, the others will assist them while the remaining ones will focus on eliminating the Willow Trees outside!"
The leaders of their respective races passed down their commands one after another. Only the army from the World of Terra didn't have a Willow Tree spawning in the middle of their formation. That was because their formation didn't leave much room for the seeds to enter and any seeds that came their way were immediately destroyed the moment they saw it.

The leader of the titans came towards where the leader of the supreme had landed.
"Can you still fight?" the titan asked the supreme that was lying flat on its back, looking at the sky.
The supreme's gaze shifted from the sky to the titan.
"Don't underestimate me. I can still fight. I only have around six broken ribs but it will heal soon enough," the supreme said. "For the meantime, can you make sure none of those pesky things came near me while I'm healing?"
The supreme was normally very arrogant when it comes to weaklings but when facing those whom he acknowledged, he wasn't as arrogant. The titan was one of the people whom he acknowledged, especially after seeing him in action earlier.
The titan looked at the Willow Trees that were slowly swarming them, however, the other supremes were currently fighting them off.
"Looks like there's no need for me to do that. Your companions are doing just fine," the titan said.
"Of course, but stay guard just in case one of them slips off."
The titan sighed but decided to do that anyway. The supreme was one of their strongest fighters and he would be a huge help in bringing the immortal down.
While the titan was protecting the supreme, the other leaders discussed the best way to deal with the newly transformed Immortal Willow Tree as they eliminated the Willow Trees that got near them. It was then that the Immortal Willow Tree appeared right in front of them, planning on eliminating them out.
These guys were the ones leading the army so if it managed to kill them, the rest would be like chickens without heads and were going to be much easier to deal with.
"Die."
Was the only word the immortal said as it launched its fist towards them.

The leaders quickly got away from his reach. Just when they thought that they had dodged its punch, the immortal opened his hands with its fingers expanding and followed right after them. The immortal stood there as it chased after the leaders of the army.
The handsome nature spirit in green robes, who also happened to be the weakest among them was the one having the hardest time in avoiding the Immortal Willow Tree's fingers. He was almost caught by it if not for his nature guardians coming just right in time to save him.
While the nature spirit was being rescued by his guardians, the other leaders evaded while attacking the fingers at the same time. However, every time they destroyed a part of the Immortal Willow Tree's fingers, it would quickly regenerate and continue chasing after them.
The sect master of the Law God Sect cut the finger that was coming to him in half. Unsurprisingly, it regenerated within seconds and continued the chase. He had no choice but to keep evading for now and cut those fingers if they managed to get very near him.
Suddenly, he felt something coming from his back.
He quickly flew towards the sky just before a thick branch could hit him from the back. That branch came out from the ground, waiting to ambush him from behind. It was a good thing that he managed to sense it first.
He looked at the Immortal Willow Tree and saw that its feet were buried in the ground. If so, that branch probably came from the claws of its feet or something.
While he was observing the Immortal Willow Tree, he noticed that the wooden finger that was chasing him earlier was now expanding towards the sky.
His brows twitched.
This couldn't go on forever. If they just keep running around like that, they wouldn't get anything done. They had to take action and end that stalemate.
The only way to do that was to attack the Immortal Willow Tree head-on. Moreover, this was a good time to attack since all of his fingers were chasing after the others. It wouldn't be able to defend itself with its hands.
With that in mind, the Law God Sect's sect master flew towards the immortal as he summoned his beloved sword out.
When he got near the immortal, he readied his sword and slashed downwards, intending on cutting it in half, vertically. But before he could do that, the branch on the Immortal Willow Tree's head that served as his hair suddenly moved and pierced the Law God Sect's sect master right in the heart.
"Uggah!" the sect master spat out blood right after that.

Sword System Academia
2/17 NOTICE: I'm putting this on hiatus, possibly permanently. I didn't want to spam with an "update chapter", so hopefully here and in the story blurb will get enough eyeballs. There are a couple reasons for ending SSA for now. 1) I wrote the next chapter but wasn't happy with it. I've been less and less satisfied with SSA's quality the more I thought about it. Part of the reason is... 2) I am seriously thinking about trying to publish some novels to help pay the bills, since I don't have my other source of income anymore. I have never asked for anything from SSA readers, no money, not even a review or rating. SSA is written for fun to amuse myself, primarily, and I would kind of feel bad actually charging someone money for something as unserious as that. I don't think it is good enough to ask anything in return. To use an analogy from music, SSA is more like a jam session with a bunch of friends. You're just chiling and having fun playing some music. I mean, if you are Mozart or even Eminem, your jam session is good enough to sell, but for an amateur beginner like myself, haha, no. If I want to publish something, I feel like I need to go the proper route of practice and rehearsals, which might be more similar to a classical concert performance. With SSA, I work from worldbuilding notes and a loose outline, but what you are essentially getting is the first draft with lots of so-called pantsing. Pushing out a web novel like this also means it is very difficult to go back and improve things without breaking everything else downstream. I wanted to try this "jamming" approach, as it was a good way to teach me about another aspect of writing, but to move forward, I think I need to hone my "classical" techniques, which emphasize rewriting, or at least, revising outlines. 3) While I intend to try to make $$$, my actual current goal is to "get gud". I've spent a lot of time recently trying to understand the self-publishing industry, and I'm pretty sure I can make some money by using short-term strategies with my current amateur skill level. But I've seen too many authors come and go/burnout, and really, the only way that I think I can enjoy writing and still make money on a long-term basis is to become a better writer. And the next step for me, which I haven't done much before, is to spend more time on rewriting and outlines. That is pretty much antithetical to the way SSA is developing. I've always been kind of 20/80 plotting/pantsing, but I want to spend a lot more time outlining before I even start writing. SSA jam sessions don't really fit my goal anymore. If you're curious about what's next, read on... Among other regrets, I regret not finishing SSA. It's the first story I've dropped, but then again, it's the first web novel I've attempted, so I suppose that's not a surprise. I don't think traditional web novel formats suit me that well. The whole SSA story I had loosely planned (beyond a first book or major arc) is way too large as well. Big story = good for neverending webnovel with Patreons, bad for penniless and fickle writer like me. I am currently outlining a complete trilogy to another story in great detail. I want the story to end concisely, and I also want the chance to really spend a lot of time on the full outline to spot pacing problems, character issues, lost themes, and so on. I'll still share this story on RR. What I intend to do is finish book 1, flash-publish the whole thing here for a few weeks, then publish on the big Zon. Repeat for books 2 and 3. The upcoming story will be about crafting heroes. The backdrop is an isekai-like setting, where elves will summon humans to their world as heroes, but the whole hero crafting business is still in its infancy. The elven mage researchers are figuring out how to imbue heroes with power, while the heroes are trying to figure out how to use the powers that they gain. Humans are the best hero templates because they are blank and have no intrinsic magic. Or at least that what the elves thought. The human MC has his own secrets... There will be some similarities with litrpgs, but I would call it more a progression fantasy or gamelit story. For example, the stats are very low, at least initially. Say we have a stat called Str. Going from Str = 1 to Str = 2 is a huge deal. Also, going from Dex = 0 to Dex = 1 is an even bigger deal. I guess you could call it a "low-stat litrpg", haha. Also, the heroes won't be gaining stats simply by killing things or leveling up. You can't increase stats arbitrarily, either. There will be rules to how stats can increase, and how they work with each other. The elven mages will be figuring out these rules in order to craft stronger and stronger heroes. Some inspiration will be from cultivation magic systems, but there won't be overt cultivation, at least for now. A theme I really want to explore is the idea of interactions. That includes things like hero crafter vs hero, tactics vs strategy, skill synergies, racial interactions (dwarves, elves, etc), and son. Yeah, so hero crafting. I'm super excited about this project and venturing into publishing. If you want to check out the upcoming story, you can follow my RR author profile to see when it drops here. Finally... THANK YOU TO EVERYONE! I'm very sorry that SSA is stopping, but I hope at least some of you will find the next story at least as enjoyable, if not more. Thanks to all the readers who gave SSA a shot. Big hug or solid fistbump to all of you, whichever you prefer! I hope this message is not a downer but an upper, because I am psyched!! -purlcray -------------- BLURB: Talen, youngest Master of the Koroi, makes his way to the Empire's capital to salvage his clan's fate. But the bustling city has few opportunities for the traditionalist. For the old sword clans are fading. With the rise of alchemy, gold can purchase strength that ordinarily took years of training to cultivate. Sword artists, once rare and accomplished, are quickly growing in number, especially among the wealthy noble class. Even with such alchemy, though, no one has advanced to the rank of Grandmaster in countless years. Talen's true dream is to walk the path of a sword artist to the very end while fulfilling his clan duties. And then the Swordgeists return, fabled founders of all sword arts, gods who had touched the world long ago and vanished. These myths turned into reality warn of a coming threat. Alongside this warning, they issue an invitation to the Sword System Academy, a path to power beyond the mortal realm. But first, they will hold an entrance exam... Story notes:Sword System Academia blends elements of western and asian fantasy such as xianxia and litrpg. I took parts from different genres I enjoyed and twisted them into my own creation. There will be an explicit system, both of the litrpg kind and the hard(ish) magic kind, but it is embedded within an academic structure that will develop over the course of the story. This is my attempt to design a unique type of system, the System Academia.

Having a Common Game Ability In Normal Life
As long as i can remember, i can see something other people can't see Yes, on the top right of my vision, i have something that looks like a map, does it useful? how does something that blocks 1/32 of my vision to be useful? Does it have to be useful.. right? As i get older, this looks like "mini-map" in a video game that i played, so i decided to call this Mini-map at least I'm not the only one with this kind of thing.. from what I've found, everyone has different ability, for example my little sister can see another person status, there's a person that can heal wounds by eating meat, there's a person that once a day can spin roulette to get reward, there's a person that can jump twice in the air and there's a person that can throw fireballs..... wait a minute!? the story will be slow, since i just write this to train my english anyhow the idea of this story will be if someone can throw a fireball does their hand burns? if someone can jump for 30m can they survive the fall? if a bard play a song that can regen their allies, why’s the enemy isn’t regenerating? if a cleris creates a barrier can their allies attack from inside barrier? and About the first few chapter i know the grammar was really bad but it’ll help me if you guys read the first few chapter and go straight to the last and tell me have i improve or not P.S i hope The world has “common language” feature so everyone speak in the same tongue lol
