The god stared at Yun Ling without any emotion on his face.

"Mortal... do you wish to die?" the god said plainly.

He didn't flash his spiritual energy nor produced any kind of killing intent on Yun Ling, however, Yun Ling's body felt cold when he heard that question from the god as he felt tremendous pressure in his body.

Yun Ling stood his ground, however, an observant person would notice that Yun Ling's legs were shaking a little from enduring the heavy pressure that the god was imposing on him. Naturally, the god wasn't serious. What Yun Ling felt was just a minuscule amount of his spiritual energy. If he was serious, Yun Ling would've already exploded and die gorily.

'This damned god!' Yun Ling thought in mind as he clenched his fist and gritted his teeth. The veins in his neck were protruding while his face turned red. He felt that he was carrying several mountains on his back.

"That's enough."

They heard the boy speak.

The god stopped exerting pressure on him and looked at the boy obediently.

Yun Ling was relieved as he panted heavily to catch up his breath. Thank goodness that the boy was here. He was the only one who could stop the god out of any of them there since the god seemed to listen to him and had a great deal of respect for him.

The boy sighed as he looked at the god.

"You had originally let yourself be sealed here and willingly went to sleep for thirty thousand years to suppress the dark energy in your body. You did this so you wouldn't harm any innocent being around you. However, thirty thousand years had passed yet the dark energy still remained. It still has a bit of an influence in your mind," the boy stated as he inspected the god.

The god's eyes widened when he realized what the boy was saying.

"Teacher is as perceptive as always. I wouldn't have noticed it if not for Teacher's words," the god said seriously. "This is indeed strange. Normally, I wouldn't easily be swayed by greed like this. Even if a Divine Being were to willingly offer me their eyes, I would have hesitated in the past. The risks in getting a pair of Divine Eyes outweigh the benefits. If I were to possess the Divine Eyes, I would have been hunted down by many gods. Now... I'm actually willing to dirty my hands and steal his eyes. It seems that being's curse is still on me," he spat out as his face went grave.

Yun Ling still felt weak in his legs but he had more or less recovered from the god's pressure. He looked at the boy and the god as he listened to their conversation carefully.

From what he was able to gather, it would seem that the god willingly put himself in those chains and sealed himself into this place because of the dark energy in his body. That dark energy was a curse that the god got from another being which was influencing his actions a bit.

Yun Ling wondered what kind of being was able to put a curse on a god. It must've been another god.

The boy looked at him deeply.

"A curse from an Ancient God couldn't be easily removed. You better not underestimate any of them. The fact that you're still alive after getting into a quarrel with an ancient god is the most fortunate thing that happened in your life so far."

Yun Ling looked at them.

'Ancient God?'

"Ancient God?" he unconsciously voiced out.

He had heard of gods and immortals before but he had never heard of an ancient god. Judging from what he heard from the boy, the ancient gods seemed to be a lot stronger than gods.

The boy and the god shifted their attention on him.

"Child, there is so much that you don't know about our universe," the god explained kindly. "The Ancient Gods are beings who are far above than a mere god. They are beings who had been around far longer than any god in existence in our universe."

Yun Ling's heart shook at that revelation. He thought that gods were at the top of the food chain but if what the boy said was true, then his assumptions were wrong.

"How strong are these Ancient Gods?"

Snow Fang listened carefully at the side. Just like Yun Ling, he was also greatly shocked. Even though he had been living for a long time already, this was the first time he had heard someone giving a detailed explanation about the beings who were much stronger than a god.

The boy thought for a second for the best way to explain an Ancient God's power before saying, "They are strong enough to wipe out an army of gods on their own."

The god smirked upon seeing Yun Ling's stunned look.

Before Yun Ling could recover from his stupor, the god added, "Mortal, don't be so shocked just from that. There are even beings who are a lot stronger than an Ancient God. In front of those beings, Ancient Gods are nothing but children in their eyes."

Yun Ling's throat went dry.

The idea of Ancient Gods being a lot stronger than gods already shocked him. To think that there were still beings who could make the Ancient Gods who could defeat an army of gods on their own look like a child...

That was terrifying.

For a second, the being that he encountered when he was using Divination flashed through his mind.

"What kind of beings are they?" Yun Ling asked.

The boy gave the god a deep look before answering Yun Ling's question.

"They are none other than the Primordial Gods. They are the gods who had existed in the universe since the beginning of time. They are infinitely powerful beings who are as old as the universe itself and the ones who created almost everything in existence."
