The monk slowly got inside the Great Hall very carefully so as not to disturb Yun Ling who was in the state of enlightenment.

He couldn't help but sigh deeply in his heart.

The only person who gained enlightenment in the past five hundred years in the Great Hall was Tathagata. He was just a young monk back then albeit one with incredible talent. Many people had great expectations of him and he wasn't one to disappoint.

In less than a hundred years, he reached the Sacred King Realm. Another hundred years later, the previous Tathagata passed down his title to the current Tathagata before leaving his body and reaching the state of Nirvana.

Now, after five hundred years, another person had gained enlightenment in the Great Hall! Even Monk Wang Yang, the next, most promising monk in the monastery after Tathagata didn't manage to gain enlightenment.

However, while Monk Wang Yang didn't gain enlightenment in the Great Hall, he did manage to comprehend some of Buddha's supreme arts carved in the walls so it wasn't as if he didn't gain anything in there.

The monk let out a sigh once again.

If only Yun Ling was a monk... he would surely become the next Tathagata.

Unknowing of the monk's presence in the monastery, Yun Ling found himself in a completely different place from the Great Hall.

He was just inside the Great Hall moments ago but now, he was sitting under a Bodhi Tree, unable to control his body. He willed himself to move, however, he couldn't.

It was then that he realized.

He wasn't in his own body. He was inside someone else. To be more specific, he was currently, Buddha.

When Buddha moved, so did he; when Buddha meditated, so did he; when Buddha closed his eyes, so did he.

With that, Yun Ling experienced a bit of Buddha's life. He experienced how he moved, how he lived, how he ate... everything in that short amount of time.

Suddenly, Buddha felt the presence of thousands of people coming towards him. He could feel that they didn't have any good intentions judging by the amount of malice they were emitting.

Yun Ling, who was inside Buddha's body, was a bit nervous. Since he was inside Buddha's body, he could feel what Buddha was feeling. Yun Ling knew that the people coming towards them were all stronger than Sacred Kings, yet Buddha...

His heart was as tranquil as ever.

Soon, thousands of people arrived and stopped in the distance. The one leading them was a tall individual with one head but four faces and six arms. Every side of his head had faces with each face showing different expressions; the face in front was emotionless; the face at the right side was laughing; the face at the left side was crying; as for the face at the back, Yun Ling had no idea since he couldn't see it from his position.

However, what got Yun Ling's attention the most wasn't his faces. It was the overwhelming strength that he was exuding even though he was just standing, looking at Buddha impassively.

Yun Ling's soul which was inside Buddha's body couldn't help but tremble.

That individual was the strongest individual that Yun Ling had met in his entire life bar the being that he encountered when he ascended into the Fate Dominion Realm. He was far stronger than anyone he knew! Even stronger than the immortal he met in the Thousand Mountain Valley!

'So this is... a god!' he thought in trepidation.

The one leading the thousands of people in front of him was a god from the supreme race!

The supreme god looked at Buddha for a few seconds and ordered the people behind him, "Attack!"

Upon receiving his command, they all launched their most powerful supreme arts towards Buddha in unison.

Buddha calmly looked at the thousands of supreme arts coming towards him with each one having power capable of killing a Sacred King in an instant.

The supreme god's head suddenly twisted. Now his face that was originally on the right side was now in the front.

With a loud, sinister laugh, the supreme god asked, "Monk, how can you prove that you have become a Buddha?"

Buddha touched the ground in front of him and responded, "The world is my witness."

From the tip of his finger, his spiritual energy surged forth to the ground with incredible force, forming a large, impenetrable barrier that extended towards where the supreme god and his minions were, destroying all of their supreme arts in the process.

The supreme god's eyes widened.

"So you have indeed become a Buddha!"

Yun Ling too was speechless. He had seen from the pictures in the Great Hall that Buddha was able to defeat them but seeing it with his own eyes...

It was amazing.

Not only that, he could feel everything that Buddha was doing since he was Buddha himself at that very moment.

The supreme god's head twisted once again and now, his face was showing a hideous, angry expression to Buddha.

"Buddha! You are a threat to my conquest so you must die!" he roared out as he flew to the air.

A tremendous amount of spiritual energy could be felt from the supreme god.

Yun Ling narrowed his eyes, trying to suppress his palpitating heart.

'That feels like it's a supreme art but at the same time, it's very different,' he thought to himself as the supreme god gathered the spiritual energy in his hands.

Wordlessly, Buddha stood up and joined his hands together, as if he was praying.

Suddenly, spiritual energy burst out from Buddha in all directions for thousands of miles. The supreme god and the thousands of people behind him also got hit by Buddha's spiritual energy.

The supreme god was wary for a second before snorting out.

"What was that Buddha? That didn't do anything at a—"

Yun Ling's mouth opened a bit.

'Where did they go?'

The supreme god and his followers all disappeared in an instant.

"Are you wondering where they are, Young One?"

Buddha's voice sounded in his mind, shocking Yun Ling greatly.

Did Buddha know that he was inside his body?

"I do," answered Buddha.

Yun Ling was speechless.
