《Young Master Has a Daughter》Chapter 209 - Huge Scandal

The half-naked monk looked at the little girl with a disgusting smirk on his face.
"You think any beggar can just come in here and join the monastery? You think the world is that wonderful, huh?"
He harshly grabbed the little girl's hair and slapped her face full of snot and tears.
His face suddenly went green as he looked at the hand he used to slap the girl which had some of the little girl's snot and tears on it and said, "Ugh, disgusting. Truly disgusting."
He slapped her once again, making some of the little girl's teeth fly.
"Why are you not saying anything? Have you finally gone stupid?"
"S...rry."
"Huuuh?"
"S...rry... I'm... ...orry," the little girl said weakly with her eyes devoid of life.
"Oi, speak clearly!" he yelled as he slapped her once again.
The little girl fell on the ground and laid motionlessly for a few seconds.
"I'm... sorry... I'm sorry... I'm sorry..."
Her voice had become strange because she had lost some of her teeth, nevertheless, she still tried to speak, like a broken doll that kept muttering the same words over and over again.
It was at this very moment that Yun Ling and Monk Wang Yang finally arrived on the scene. What greeted them was something that made them stunned and speechless as they were all shaken to their core.
"I'm sorry... I'm sorry... I'm sorry... I'm sorry... I'm sorry... I'm sorry... I'm sorry... I'm sorry..."
Just like Yun Ling and Monk Wang Yang, the other monks who were observing at the side were stunned as well.
"Hahaha, so you can still speak! Let me take away that voice of yours," the half-naked monk said sinisterly as he threw a knife in front of the little girl.

The little girl's gaze landed on the knife while still repeating those same two words.
Crouching to the little girl's level, the monk said— no, he ordered, "I want you to slit your throat with this knife."
The little girl's eyes seemingly devoid of life suddenly started showing fear while her voice became shaky.
"I'm sorry... please spare me... I shouldn't have been born into this world... I'm sorry... please..."
As if the little girl's pleas got through the monk, the monk's face went gentle as he said with a comforting voice, "Don't you think that the world is harsh? While some people lived comfortably, every day you have to resort to begging just to live for another day. Every day is a tough battle for you. You came here thinking that the monastery can help you but alas, life is so cruel. After going into this place to receive comfort, you suffered even more instead. Don't you think that the world is cruel? Why is the world like this to you? Why are you living like this when other undeserving people out there have good lives, with complete family at that? Isn't life so hateful?"
"Life... is cruel..." the little girl weakly repeated some of his words, as if spellbound. "Why... am I suffering... like this?"
"If you want to end this suffering, take the knife and slit your throat. You will then be relieved of all your sufferings," the monk's voice was very gentle, it reminded the little girl of her mother's sweet voice.
Even though they were poor, she at least had her mother... as for her father... her mother didn't even know who it was because her mother sold her body for a living. There were too many potential candidates to be her father and all of them wanted nothing to do with her or her mother.

It was understandable though... who would want to take responsibility for a prostitute's daughter while not knowing whose daughter she really was?
But at the very least... her mother loved her and she loved her mother too. They had each other... until her mother died from overworking.
"M... mother..." the little girl said weakly as her hand slowly went towards the knife.
"That's it... grab it and kill yourself... end this suffering that is called life with your own two hands," his voice as sweet and gentle as ever, a far contrast to the tone he used when speaking to the little girl earlier. However, his voice might be gentle but his words made the people's blood go cold.
"Mother..."
"Very good... you're doing a good job... now—BWAAAAAHH!"
He wasn't able to continue his words when Yun Ling's fist met his face.
BANG!
Several walls were destroyed as the monk's body flew through it as a result of Yun Ling's punch.
Yun Ling could no longer take it anymore. He finally snapped out of his stunned state and punched the guy with all of his strength in it without holding back, letting go of all inhibitions he had.
His shoulders heaved up and down as he tried to regulate his now erratic breathing because of what he had seen.
A monk doing such an unspeakable thing to a little girl of all people!
It made his blood boil.
Nearly every monk in the area let out a gasp at Yun Ling's sudden attack, however, Yun Ling didn't care about them.
"M... mother... I'm sorry..."
Yun Ling looked at the little girl holding the knife and was now pointing it towards her neck. He immediately went towards her and gently knocked her out, and then took the knife away from her.
After that, he glared at the monks who were just standing at the side, without doing anything.
If they were unable to move because of their shock just like him at first, he would've understood. However, there were some monks who came even before him yet still didn't do anything to stop that monster of a monk from harming a little girl.
In his eyes, they were no better than that hateful monk.
Monk Wang Yang finally snapped out of his daze and immediately went to the little girl's side to tend to her. Seeing him take action, the other monks also did the same.
Yun Ling glanced at the little girl for a bit before going to where the half-naked monk was.
He arrived in front of the fallen monk who was buried under the rubbles in an instant.
What happened next made the monks start looking at him in fear as he continued to punch the half-naked monk's face until his skull caved in and all of his brains splattered all over. However, Yun Ling still didn't stop. He continued punching the already dead monk's face until the monk's head was no more.
After his head, Yun Ling destroyed his body to the point that one no longer knew that the gory remains belonged to that of a human anymore.
That day was the day where most of the monks started fearing Yun Ling.
That day... Yun Ling killed a monk inside the monastery.

Wander West, in Shadow
BOOK 1 COMPLETED A young wizard journeys west, through dark forests and dangerous lands, searching for something. Accompanied by a wild witch who has secrets of her own, they come across terrible creatures, hauntings, cursed villages, and memories from their past. Who else will they meet along their journey, and to find what he is looking for, how far will the wizard have to wander west? NOTE: The above synopsis is intentionally written to be as spoiler-free as possible. If you would like a more in-detail synopsis, one that contains minor spoilers, please check out the "Synopsis" chapter at the beginning of this fiction. If you read and enjoy, please leave a rating or review! FORMERLY TITLED: THE GLIMMERLING This story was formerly titled "The Glimmerling", because the first part was a short story of that title; it has since been expanded upon, thus the title change. Chapters 1-8 (30k words) are the first 'arc', if you want to get a feel for the story. To give some context on the setting: Magic is a bit weaker in this story than you might be used to, and we start off following some relatively new magic users. For some perspective, being able to light a campfire with magic is considered relatively advanced for someone who is the age of the main character. Magic can become very powerful - and there are some examples of powerful wizards within this story - but it's not where the main characters are yet. Part of the story is about following them as they learn more about magic. Enemies are also very dangerous, and running, hiding, or trying to talk their way out of a dangerous situation is often a better choice than fighting for the characters. While I have added tags for traumatizing content, sexuality, violence, swearing, etc. I try to avoid super-explicit descriptions of these things. But they are part of the story.

Dear Spellbook (Rewrite)
Live. Study. Repeat. Tal never saw himself as an adventurer, but the call to adventure never much cared for his opinion. Despite his best efforts, his search for answers on the murder of his parents ever draws him into danger. Accompanied by a group of seasoned warriors, thus far Tal has gotten by on his own meager magical talents, but when one day he wakes up to find himself back in his bed of the night before, he is faced with a challenge he must conquer alone. What to expect: This story was born of an attempt to create in world lore reasons for many of the mechanics and tropes of D&D, but you do not need to know of them to enjoy the story. It's a single POV time loop story with slow paced progression fantasy elements. The story is not one of fast-paced power ups and non-stop action, but as it progresses, the action picks up. There is a lot of magic system exploration on a system built to unify the diverse magic of D&D into one cohesive magic system. The setting is an original world with familiar races and monsters but with new unique origins and motivations. The average chapter will be 2-5k words long, most being around 3k but there are a few less than 1k, due to the nature of the story telling device I used. Book 1 is complete. Posting is on hold until I finish book 2. Book 2 progress: The rough draft is done at 141656 words as of 7/9/2022. I need to reread and edit it but Im aiming for resuming chapters in September.

"Oh boy." Warning! - There is likely not enough tags I can put up for this novel so please take this frontal warning instead. I can promise you a great deal of horror, gore, chaos and pure edge, but also everything on the opposite site of the spectrum from side characters. To be blunt, the MC is not a good person, so unless you're interested in such a thing, I'd strongly advise you to not read Currant Choir.
