《Young Master Has a Daughter》Chapter 177 - Preparation For Departure

"By the way, father... about the sword that I asked you to buy a month ago..." Yun Ling started. "When is it going to arrive?"
A month and a few weeks ago, before Yun Ling brought his daughter and his students to train in the closest mountain in the capital, he asked his father to get him a new sword because he broke his during the Golden Dragon Election in his fight with Yu Shan. He specifically asked him to get him a sword with a quality that was more or less equal to Yu Shan's sword.
"It will arrive tomorrow," Yun Zhan said.
Yun Ling's mouth opened a bit.
"What a coincidence..." he said.
Who would've thought that the thing he had been waiting for a month already was going to arrive the next day just after he asked about it? Who wouldn't have thought of that as a coincidence?
"It's not really a coincidence," Yun Zhan said. "I urged them to rush a weeks ago since we're leaving the day after tomorrow to the Law God Sect to coordinate with them and discuss how we're going to take down that immortal in the Thousand Mountain Valley."
"I see..." Yun Ling said.
A few weeks ago, one of the Law God Sect's emissary sent a letter to the emperor, telling them to arrive one week ahead of the original plan so all Sacred Kings from different sects, kingdoms, empires, etc. could discuss plans and organize all the people belonging from different origins into a proper force. It wouldn't be funny if the day of the battle with the immortal comes and they lack the means to cooperate with each other, making the battlefield messier than it should be. That was why in two days, they would leave the capital and head to the Law God Sect with the Sacred Kings so they would arrive there exactly one week from what was originally planned.

"Okay... I'll be looking forward to it, Father," Yun Ling said.
"I'm sure you'll love it, son... I had a great master make it just for you," Yun Zhan said with a smile.
"Thanks."
...
Yun Ling entered his room and saw Yun Xia sleeping on the bed comfortably.
He let out a sigh as he changed his clothing into a sleeping robe and sat on the bed afterward. He looked at his daughter with a concerned look on his face and frowned.
The day after tomorrow, they were going to the Law God Sect. The journey there might take three to five days. If they were fast, maybe two days at most. Then one week after that, they were going to the Thousand Mountain Valley to eliminate the immortal. If everything went well and they defeated the immortal, they would be gone for two to three weeks before returning to the Yun Clan. In that time frame, he wouldn't be at Yun Xia's side.
There wasn't anyone he trusted that could look after Yun Xia well when they were finally going to leave to the Law God Sect. Well, there was Snow Fang, but Snow Fang alone wasn't enough. If their clan was going to be attacked by many enemies during that time, Snow Fang would be overwhelmed even if he was a lesser beast at the Fate Dominion Realm. Then, there was also Yue Dongmei who was still unconscious to that day.
Yun Ling closed his eyes as he thought of what was the best thing to do.
After almost an hour of thinking, he finally thought of something that was quite feasible.
But before doing he was going to do what it was that he thought of, he had to ask his father first. His father probably already had something on mind regarding Yun Xia and Yue Dongmei. However, if his idea was better than his father's, then he would follow his idea instead of his father's.

With that decided, Yun Ling closed his eyes and let himself drift asleep.
...
It was still early in the morning yet everyone in the compound was already busy.
As Yun Ling headed towards his father's office, he saw the servants running left and right doing their tasks seriously and efficiently. It wasn't just the servants either... even the cultivators with high cultivation realm in their clan looked extremely busy as they passed by him.
Yun Ling entered his father's office and saw some of the Sacred Kings in there, talking with Yun Zhan.
Everyone inside the room turned their attention towards him once they had noticed that he had entered the room. Then, they turned their attention back on Yun Zhan as they said, "Then, Clan Master... we're leaving now."
Yun Zhan nodded at them and said, "You may go. Also, tell Yun Mingyuan to have everyone prepare all they need today."
"Understood."
They said before leaving they stood up from their seat and leaving the room after greeting Yun Ling who was on their way.
"Everyone sure is busy..." Yun Ling said.
Though he could understand why that was the case. It was because tomorrow, they were finally going to depart to the Law God Sect. That was why the servants and even the high-ranking cultivators in their clan were busy. They were doing their best to make sure that they could depart with all the essentials they need and that the clan would be fine even without the Sacred Kings around and most of the Fate Dominions to watch over the clan.
"So... what are you here for, son?" Yun Zhan asked. "If it's about your sword, it hasn't arrived yet."
"No, I came here to talk about Xiaxia and Yue Dongmei," Yun Ling said, going straight to the point.
"Oh..." Yun Zhan mouthed out. "About that... why don't we send them over to the Great Buddhist Monastery? You do have a close relationship with the people there right?"
Yun Ling raised a brow at that. That was actually what was on his mind, to send the two to the Great Buddhist Monastery and have the monks there watch over the two. If he used his connections in that place, those people surely wouldn't refuse him. Besides, it wasn't only he who had a connection there. Even his father did. He was the one who sent him to that place after all with the help of his friend after making a lot of trouble in the capital.
"I was exactly thinking of the same thing, Father," Yun Ling said. "And yeah, I'm friends with some people there."
"That's good," Yun Zhan said, nodding. "Why don't you send Xia'er and Yue Dongmei over there today? The Great Buddhist Monastery is not that far from the capital after all. It will only take you a few hours to do that."
"How about mother and grandmother? Should I not bring them along?" Yun Ling asked.
Yun Zhan merely shook his head.
"No... if even they leave, then it would cause unease within our clansmen," Yun Zhan said. "Just imagine... what are you going to do when you find out that the wife, mother, and granddaughter of the clan master suddenly left the clan now that there are no Sacred Kings or few Fate Dominion Realm cultivators are left? They will worry and start to think that something is up.. and then they will panic. Your mother and grandmother have to remain here to maintain morale while we are away. This is also what they want."

Transferring to another world and gaining special powers is a dream for some, but if they were dropped into my shoes... they'd probably give up. But I won't. This story has the following elements: Male MC Light RPG mechanics (no in-story stat tables) Non-standard class for the MC Moderate violence A mix of solo fights and group battles with a balance of tactics, skill and ability usage If you're looking for the below, you may be disappointed: Instantly overpowered MC (no prior skills in combat, every bit of growth is earned) Female MC (duh) Explicit sex (may be referenced, but no NSFW chapters) Health bars (damage taken and given reflects reality) Harem Gore and ultra-violence **This story is a First Draft, changes may take place during the process. Three chapters per week at minimum.** **So, this is set up as a GameLit transported to a new world story initially, but it focuses on how such a system would work in real life. There are levels, abilities and mana pools, but damage and health are realistic and combat is fast and frantic. I think that is an interesting mix. If you have any questions, just ask in the comments. I'm always happy to discuss anything in relation to the story.**
