《Young Master Has a Daughter》Chapter 170 - The Strongest Tribulation

After he tore off a page in The Book of Fate, Yun Ling saw that the darkness in his surroundings had disappeared and so did the book in front of him.
The next thing he knew, he found himself back in the courtyard again.
Yun Ling couldn't describe the feeling he felt in his heart regarding what he had just experienced. He was just at the courtyard yet he was actually transported into a mystical and mysterious place and came into contact with one of the Twelve Heavenly Grand Treasures of the universe which was The Book of Fate.
Actually, he hadn't really come into contact with the actual book. He was at the courtyard the entire time. What he saw and touched was nothing but an illusion in his mind. However, despite it being an illusion, he had indeed finally removed his name in The Book of Fate. That was just how mysterious and mystical any of the Twelve Heavenly Grand Treasures were.
A loud rumble of thunder suddenly distracted him from his thoughts. He looked up and saw a huge build-up of spiritual energy in the sky. Up there, a bolt of lightning which was much larger than the largest one that had struck him before had formed.
Yun Ling's eyes constricted.
If that hit him, he would die for sure.
Left without any choice, Yun Ling decided he would have to use his Divine Eyes. His red phoenix eyes instantly became golden while the sclera in his eyes became pure black. Then, a purple hollow armor appeared all over his body right after that as he faced the sky fearlessly.
If he had a choice, Yun Ling wouldn't have used his divine eyes at all. That was because if he tried to defend himself, the tribulation would just become much stronger. But with the way his tribulation was going right now, he would certainly die if he didn't do anything anyway so he would rather just use his Divine Eyes and gamble whether his armor could take the tribulation or not.

"Yi'er used one of his Divine Eyes abilities," Yun Wei said with a frown. However, he could understand why his grandson did. As the Divine Being with the Divine Eyes, Yun Ling's eyes were more discerning than theirs. Yun Ling was forced to use his abilities because he was certain he wasn't going to make it out alive if he took that tribulation head-on.
The emperor looked at the sky with narrowed eyes.
"This is certainly the strongest tribulation lightning I have ever seen in my life," the emperor said. "Does the heaven really want to get rid of its child, the Divine Being?"
Divine Beings were often referred to as heaven's blessed child for they were incredibly talented and possessed powers greater than anyone once they reached their full potential. It wasn't farfetched to say that they were heaven's child.
And now... heaven was intent on killing the Divine Being!
"Son," Yun Zhan muttered with a grave expression on his face.
"Will Papa be okay, Grandpa?" Yun Xia asked worriedly.
"He will... you don't have to worry too much," Yun Zhan reassured her.
"Here it comes!" Yun Wei said getting everyone's attention.
Yun Zhan, Yun Wei, Yun Cang, Yu Yinyi, the emperor, and all the Sacred Kings immediately put up formation around the compound. All of them were serious as they put all they had into that formation.
"Come," Yun Ling muttered with a serious look on his face.
Not even a second later...
BOOOOOOM!
The entire courtyard was destroyed thanks to the lightning tribulation that had struck Yun Ling. The latter was nearly blown away from that but he managed to remain firm in the end.
Cracks that were even larger and wider than before started appearing in the Sacred Kings' formation after that lightning strike. Most of the Sacred Kings went pale upon seeing that.

That level of tribulation wasn't something that someone who was ascending to the Fate Dominion Realm should experience. No, even if they were Sacred Kings, it wasn't something that they could handle. That tribulation was too strong! If they were the one in Yun Ling's shoes, they would have long since been blasted to pieces!
Yun Ling spat out a mouthful of blood. Even with his armor, he didn't come out unscathed from that.
While they were still trying to reorient themselves after that lightning strike, they all heard another rumble from the sky again.
They looked up and were scared shitless. They almost had their soul leave their body when they saw another lightning of the same magnitude as the one before forming in the sky. Moreover, it wasn't just one. There were nine! All of them were speechless. Just the last lightning strike alone nearly blasted the whole courtyard even with their formations. Now that there were nine of them, the clan compound would surely be turned to ashes and all of the Sacred Kings would surely suffer some serious injuries. As for those with lower cultivation...
They would surely die without a doubt.
Yun Ling looked up and took a deep breath.
Dark purple wings appeared from the back of his purple hollow armor while emitting a light purple glow.
At that moment, the Divine Being title truly fitted on him.
There was no one more divine than him.
In that dark night, he shone brighter than anyone else.
Yun Ling rose to the sky. He didn't intend on staying in the courtyard any longer. If he continued to remain there, then he would just be bringing harm to his people.
His hollow armor was no longer hollow. It had finally materialized and showed its true splendor to everyone else. After that, dark impenetrable dragon scales started appearing in his armor, covering the entirety of his armor in it. Then, a pair of sharp dragon horns materialized on each side of his head.
"Truly a Divine Being..." the Sacred Kings couldn't help but sigh at how awe-inspiring Yun Ling was at that very second.

Riftwalker
Legend speaks that a roaring force of insatiable abyss lies beneath the peaceful overworld. Named the Rift after its chasm-like entrances, this unexplored void has consumed the underneath for eons. What had seemed just a myth crawled out of unreality in the form of eldritch creatures. Reborn as something not entirely human, mankind rejected the boy. Thrown into the Rift by people who feared him, he had to live in a world run by monsters as a newborn. Surviving, however, wasn't his only difficulty as he soon had to decide whether he would save the people who banished him or simply idle as the Rift engulfed all life. As of chapter 9, Riftwalker is on a very small hiatus. I'm very busy with work atm :( Here are a couple of things to expect: Lots of action and exploration! Diverse and refreshing creatures; There are good and evil. Satisfying progression and coming of age. The protagonist stands out but isn't overpowered. There are some litRPG elements, but it's not a determinant factor. The fights are decided through one's combat skill and experience and not stat-checking. Oh, and some other info: There is a bit of gore, but nothing disturbing. Occasionally, there will be images of the scenery and landscape. Chapters will be around 1,5k to 2k words long, and the releases will probably be relatively slow, sorry.
