Law God Sect’s Headquarters

A handsome middle-aged man look over the people sitting in their respective seats inside the meeting room.

There were all kinds of people in there. There was a huge titan that towered over everyone inside the place, a supreme with one head and six arms, an atlantean with three horizontal lines at each side of his neck, someone from the charmian race which was a race undisputedly known as the most beautiful race among the other races, and of course, there were also humans which took up the majority of the seats inside the meeting room and also some other races.

All the people gathered inside the place were some of the most powerful figures in the World of Terra. All of them stood at the top of the Sacred King Realm. There was no one that wasn’t a Sacred King in there.

“I have gathered you all today because I have important news to tell you,” the handsome middle-aged man started.

No one uttered a word. Every eye was on him as they listened to him silently.

“I received a letter from the sect master of the Stone God Sect. It is something that greatly concerns the Thousand Mountain Valley, and most likely, it might also concern the whole world.”

Everyone’s eyes narrowed at that.

Something that might even concern the whole world? That was such a big thing to say. It wasn’t something that should be said lightly. What could that matter be for the sect master to say something like that? They were all intrigued but they still remained silent as they waited for the sect master to finish.

“One of the Stone God Sect’s people encountered a very powerful creature that killed one of their Fate Dominion Realm experts inside the Thousand Mountain Valley. It also killed nearly all of the disciples of the Riverspan Sect who entered the Thousand Mountain Valley. There’s a big reason to believe that the creature is above the Sacred King Realm, and however unlikely it is”—the middle-aged man paused as he took a deep breath—“it might even be an immortal.”

Upon saying those words, the people inside the meeting room finally broke out into commotion.

“Immortal?!”

“This is ridiculous! Everyone knows that there can’t possibly be an immortal in this world!”

“That’s right. There is a rule set in this world. Anyone above the Sacred King cannot come in here”

“Sect Master, are you serious?!”

While the others were startled, there was an old man who had remained quiet the whole time. He was the only one who was composed. The possibility of there being an immortal didn’t even make him flinch.

That old man looked incredibly old. He was so thin, he barely had any flesh. His skin was tightly clinging to his bones. He also had his eyes closed throughout the entire time.

“Everyone, be quiet. Why don’t we let the sect master finish first before saying anything?” the old man slowly said but that made everyone inside the room be quiet as they looked at him.

The handsome middle-aged man gave the old man a deep look.

He might be the sect master but these people were more willing to listen to this old man than to him. However, he understood why everyone was like that. After all, that old man was the 13th generation sect master of the Law God Sect. He held that position more than 8000 years ago. He was probably the oldest person that was still alive in their world right now.

Also, not only was the old man the 13th Sect Master of the Law God Sect, but he was also one of the Divine Beings in his generation. Everyone in the World of Terra knew of him during his time. There were also many people in the Ethereal Realm who knew him.

On the other hand, he was merely the 39th generation sect master of the Law God Sect. He might be the sect master but this old man held more authority than him.

The handsome middle-aged man looked at everyone and said, “I also wish it was just a joke. Several years ago, I noticed that the spiritual energy in the Thousand Mountain Valley was acting strange. It was actually decreasing. I sent one of my people to the Thousand Mountain Valley to supervise the events there. Currently, he serves as a gatekeeper in the Thousand Mountain Valley.”

He then proceeded to tell them about the strange actions of the lesser beasts in that place. He told them that the beasts started leaving the outer part of the Thousand Mountain Valley and went deeper. The spiritual energy inside the Thousand Mountain Valley had also disappeared. The gatekeeper had also found the dried corpses of the lesser beasts in there. However, that was all the gatekeeper knew since he no longer dared to head deeper. He was being cautious.

The handsome middle-aged man then went silent. He let everyone digest the information he just shared.

He thought back to what the gatekeeper suggested to him.

Normally, after the gatekeeper discovered the strangeness of the Thousand Mountain Valley, he should’ve just closed the gates and not let anyone enter until they were sure of what it was. That was part of his job. However, the gatekeeper actually suggested opening the gates just like the usual and let the disciples from other sects enter the place. He didn’t want to scout the place out because he was being cautious. Instead, he let the other sect disciples unknowingly scout it for him.

Because of that, many disciples from the Riverspan Sect had lost their lives. Even the grandson of one of the Stone God Sect’s protectors almost died if it weren’t for his life-saving treasure and some lucky coincidences.

However, it was also because the gatekeeper let those sect disciples in that they got this information on hand. Without sacrificing them, they wouldn’t have a single clue there was such a powerful creature out there above the Sacred King Realm. What was more was that it might even be an immortal.
