NOTE: THE MC IS NOT OP. STAPH MESSAGING ME SAYING HE'S ALREADY TOO OP PLEASE.
Also, if you like to read my Fiction, PLEASE Follow! If I get more Followers, I'll do more Polls, and see what sort of stuff you guys want (My Old Polls were deleted when I combined Chapter 1-4, and made Chapter 5 Chapter 2. I still have all of the data from the Polls saved though).
Anyways, here’s Chapter 4.
At this point, I was completely curled up into a ball. The pain was so unbearable, I couldn’t move an inch. I was only in my first hour of pain, with 5 more hours to follow.
Although I wished for for the torture to end, I gave up all hope. I knew I couldn’t die right now, so I had no choice but to bear with it. During this time, I once again thought about everything that's happened since I arrived in this world. As soon as I was summoned, I ended up a snack for a wolf. While I might have been lucky to live this time, who knows how long it will take before I die?
‘I need to get stronger… But how?’
During the second hour of my pain, I was thinking about everything I could do to become stronger. Most people would think about something like physical training, or something of the sorts. I, on the other hand, had something that would be able to skip all of this; the only issue was that the price was severe.
‘My Special Ability… I think it was called “What Doesn’t Kill Me”? It might have a stupid name; but after all the shit I went through, it gave me over 100 Bonus Points...’
Of course, I did remember the cost of these points. While I didn’t know how the Bonus Points were calculated, it did factor in my broken bones in one of the Windows. I’m just going to assume it has something to do with that. If I could figure out a way to utilize this skill, I could easily gain enough power to get revenge on Adam and Jessica.

‘Revenge...’
During the 3rd and 4th hour, my mind started to remember all the pain I’ve been put through. As this went on, I started to think about how amazing it would feel to be able to torture Adam and Jessica both to death. Various methods of torture started to slowly fill my head.My thoughts slowly started corrupting my mind. Even the devil would cower in fear of me as I am now.
During the 5th and final hour of my torture, it finally dawned on me to try opening my Status Window. Keep in mind I’m not the wisest…
I tried to speak, but the pain was too much to bear. Thankfully throughout this entire 5 Hour Ordeal, my body was slowly getting used to the pain so I have at least been able to start thinking straight.
‘Hm, I guess I can’t open it right now.’
Then I remembered all of the Reincarnation Light Novels and Fictions I’ve read in the past. Maybe I can just think the Status Window into existence?
I decided to put this theory to the text, and once again I heard the now familiar *DING* resound through my brain.
Instantly, I was being completely overwhelmed by the Windows opening in my line of sight. As I started to read through them, I noticed the notification started from when my torture with the wolf began. My face filled with pain slowly but surely started to transform into an evil grin…
For going through extreme pain, the Endurance Stat has been created

As you can tell this will probably take a while…
While the MC was going through his first experience in Friht, 14 other humans were transported in front of a giant city, with guards completely surrounding them. A lone fat man walked through the circle of guards, and started to speak aloud.

Mr. Fatty Von Fattacious: “Greetings Chosen! I am known as Epfih Deohqualzica IV, the King of the Azranian Kingdom! I welcome you to this world, and to my humble kingdom. As you all know, you have been sent here to….
As Mr. Fatty Von Fattacious continued his speech (which was a typical reincarnation speech, mentioning where you are, what your here for, untold fortunes, yadah yadah yadah), the Chosen were glancing at one another. The Chosen had no chance prior to see who all would be going into the new world with them, because as soon as they entered the gymnasium (the place the voice told them to go to), they were then teleported to a strange room; each room was different, and each was able to talk to a different God.
(Authors Note: Keep in mind this would have happened to the MC too if he actually listened to the announcement. If he did, this is what would have followed…
MC hears the Announcement, and goes to Gym.
MC is then teleported to a strange room, and has a conversation with a random ass God
God gives MC info on what all is happening, blah blah blah
God then gives the MC a Blessing (Gives some stupid OP bonus), a Title, and a Skill.
MC is teleported
This is basically what happened to each of the Chosen; in one way or another. The MC was left out of this because he chose to ignore it, and instead had to settle for a Demi-God giving him the low down, resulting in no Blessing, Title, or additional Skill. THIS WAS ALL ON PURPOSE. The reason I am informing you of all of this is so you know what happened to all the other Chosen before being teleported to Friht. This also in turn gives all other Chosen a better start, making the MC underpowered.)
As soon as the Chosen finished examining each other, the King was also finished with his long boring speech.
Mr. Fatty Von Fattacious: “Now that all of you have heard the more finer detail, may I please ask of you all to summon your Status Window? I assume the Gods explained this before you all came to our lovely world.”
The Chosen simply nodded, and opened up their Statuses. For the most part, they all had a pretty similar Status, with only a few differences in Classes, Gender, and Bonuses recieved from the Gods they talked to. And just to have a little sneak peek at Adam’s...

The Beta Test
Our nameless narrator participates in a beta test for an early VRMMO game Meridian 60. That's not the real name but it captures the spirit of the adventure given the chronological and contextual era of the game. His character is unique and special but purely for mundane reasons and not because of any inherent or social significance. The first chapter which is mandatory to submit a story on RR serves as a bit of a prologue with some exposition, although I limited that to a reasonble level. I plan to begin releasing additional chapters starting Thursday, to align with the 48 hour submission approval process and also because I have something to do Wednesday. I haven't written anything but the summary and first chapter, nor have I plotted anything out. This is because my plan is to release roughly 34000 words a day, 10 chapters of ~12.5 pages each, for 3 days at which point the story will be complete. I'd have liked to plan for more but handling the interface tables and so forth needed for a data heavy litrpg slows down the writing process. 100k words is a bit short, a standard pre epic fantasy 300 page spec fic novel, but this is mostly a writing exercise and I am considering a longer project if I can maintain the pace. Probably do a different concept, maybe a dungeon core, over 5 days, since a 500 page novel is more common these days. Slight subversion of VRMMO stories Stat heavy/crunchy No paying your bills by gaming No out of game conspiracies No angst, interpersonal drama, or damsels/dudes in distress Schedule is 30000 words a day excepting the first chapter, a limitation of RRs fiction submission system Fantasy, high magic, male lead, no party, guild, or harem No gore, some profanity, no sexual content, and no current plans for anything traumatic
