《Hunter x Hunter: Gon Freecs, The Multiverse Gamer.》Chapter 15: 287th Exam x Introductions

Third Person POV: Gon
As Gon got up and approached the newcomers, the whispers from the participants resumed. After what happened between him, that newfangled needle guy, and last year's "creep," no one wanted to meddle in his affairs. At least those were the words that his enhanced hearing picked up as he used "Cleft Mind."
With his attention spread, the youngster was able to probe Kurapika and Leorio simultaneously. He was already a slow reader, and in the current circumstances, delaying introductions would seem awkward.
He more or less expected the two of them to have battle potentials around a 100. What surprised him more was Kurapika's wisdom stat that reached up to 30 without nen. He took a glance back at Killua to compare:
X Close
Name: Killua Zoldyck
Strength: 37
Fitness: 24
Wisdom: 14
Dexterity: 52
Perception: 18
Versatility: 37
Composure: 25
Charisma: 3
Physical Potential: 130
Mental Potential: 79
Total Battle Potential: 210
Classes and Aptitudes:
Hitman, Scout, Zoldyck Heir, Lightning resistance, Pain Resistance, Poison Resistance, Weapon Master, Unarmed Combat, Nightmare Claws, Zero Steps, Rythm Echo
Compatibilities:
Dark Priest, Diver
Kurapika had two times the wisdom when related to him, even if Killua's tools appeared more oriented towards dexterity. It was true that attributes didn't solely benefit from the boosts that abilities offered. During battles, skills could tremendously change trends depending on their mastery and use.
Nevertheless, when put on a universal scale, Kurapika would seem a bit sharper psychologically.
After all, Gon's best friend was still just a young boy. Amidst all the attributes, wisdom would probably be the one that had the most chances to evolve without torture.
Again, looking at Killua's tremendous versatility, things weren't as simple as 1+1. He could learn and adapt to an extensive range of fields. Even in his family, which specialized in killing and subterfuge, Killua was considered a genius after all.

One thing that didn't surprise Gon, however, was the fact that the latter wouldn't be suitable for the Gambler class. He had spent hundreds of millions on sweets alone...Not to mention his disastrous addiction to Casinos.
It was tragic how even Biscuit had to knock him out at that time.
"I should stop using 'Biscuit' when we meet, though.
Bisky, it goes…" He giggled inside but composed himself before Leorio and Kurapika could mark any unusual stance.
As he neared the elevator and looked at them, though, his poker face fell.
It was because he saw a cut on Kurapika's lip and Leorio's black eye. He didn't have to guess where they obtained those.
In his last life, he was the one who advised the sailors not to stop their fight on the boat. It was when Katzo was about to drown, and he jumped to save him that they stopped.
Thinking of that sailor, Gon hoped that he was okay…
"It might be a bit troublesome to ask about him later, though." Gon sighed guiltily internally.
"As expected from the Hunter Exam," Leorio remarked as he gazed earnestly at the masters in the underground tube, one hand in his pocket, the other readjusting his glasses. The chic effect was a bit overkill.
For people who didn't know better, he probably resembled more a gangster than an aspiring doctor.
"Yeah…" Kurapika, despite his calm, smiled, enthusiasm on his face. Notwithstanding his natural scholarly looks, his real character was fiery, competitive, and even violent when stimulated. He continued:
"Someone is coming our way. Be careful."
The crowd of experts absorbed Leorio at that moment. It was after he received the reminder that he noticed a tiny frame entering his field of vision.
…………………….
"Hello." Gon extended his hand to greet Leorio first. The man was extraordinarily conscious and needed people to show him respect. "My name is Gon. Are you guys also new participants?" He maintained.

"Yeah…"
They both looked a bit confused. Leorio even scratched his cheek for a second as they looked at each other. Gon, who was familiar with the bloke, discerned that the latter seemingly thought of him as somewhat young.
"My name is Leorio, and here is Kurapika. Nice to meet you, Gon."
"Nice to meet you." Kurapika followed politely. He wasn't as mindful as his counterpart concerning manners, so he asked:
"How old are you, Gon?"
"I'm eleven this year." The boy replied with a confident smile. Kurapika gasped, but his expression changed after he looked elsewhere.
"Hmm…" A charming smile formed on his lips.
"Where do you guys come from?"
They engaged in small talk for quite some time. Killua who was bored of waiting stepped in rudely and asked:
"Gon, do you know those fellows?"
"I have a name, kid; It's mister Leorio for you!"
"Whatever." Killua mocked, still staring at his new friend. Gon, who understood hos insecurities and social awkwardness, sighed before making the introductions.
……………………..
Nineteen minutes later,
"Brat, aren't you going to share those?" Leorio asked greedily as he noticed the chocolate box brand.
"Not if you keep calling me a brat. You big oaf." Killua answered nonchalantly. Gon knew that if he weren't here, the bloke would undergo a diabolical, and eye-opening whipping.
"Who's the oaf?" Leorio flew into a rage. He got up and rolled up his sleeve, ready to teach the nasty brat a lesson.
"Sit down, Leorio. You're not his opponent." Kurapika said with eyes closed, more than likely resting due to the long journey.
"That kid? He wouldn't even be good for a spanking." Leorio rebutted.
"Listen to the wise words, old man."
He sighed before begrudgingly taking a cigarette out and lighting it.
"I'll have you know that I'm only nineteen! I'm a teen like you guys."
"What?!" Killua and a few participants exclaimed at the same time. The former even dropped the box he was holding.
As for the rest, they could not help but hear the loudmouth. The fact that they were in a tunnel didn't arrange things.
Leorio, who was trying to relieve his nerves with a smoke exhaled before opening his eyes to the ruckus. When he glanced at the participants, they dodged his eyes, though.
He was perplexed for a moment. He crossed one arm and held his chin with the other, the cigarette on his lips and smoke at the other end of his fingers:
"I wanted to ask this earlier, but…" He looked at his two new acquaintances while speaking. But before he could voice his concerns, he was interrupted by a noise from the elevator behind.
Gon and the rest observed as the doors opened once more, revealing the person everyone had been waiting for.
