What?
When I was at the door before, you knew she was coming. How?
Ah! Oh. I can sense her.
…
With sahir. I can sense her with sahir.
...how?
Ugh. Okay. So you understand that everything contains sahir.
Yeah.
Well that sahir isn’t the same. There are minute differences between the sahir in the door and the sahir in the doorknob for example.
Okay.
I can sense those differences so I can tell that the doorknob is different from the door.
And because of that when Glacia was walking through the hall you could tell the difference between her sahir and the sahir in the...air?
More or less.
Have you always been able to do that?
To a degree, yeah. The range was rather limited though.
I’m assuming the range increased when you ‘activated’ my powers?
For someone who used to rant to others about needing to accept reality, you really struggle to do it yourself. Yes, yes it did.
Right. Anyway am I right in assuming you’re the reason my eyes glow red?
You would think so, but no its not me. I ran some tests while you were asleep and I definitely have no control over that.
You ran tests? How? Like what? Wait no. Asleep? You knew my eyes looked like this?
Obviously, that's sahir coming out of your eye sockets. But that's only as far as the red glow, I have no idea where your pupils have gone.
Okay...fair I guess. The testing?
Nothing serious. I just tried to expel sahir in specific locations on your body. I couldn’t. It’s an all or nothing deal.
Are you saying the all knowing sahir sage doesn’t know something about sahir?
No. If your sahir is being expelled, its either because of me or it's because of you. I was simply testing if it could have been me. It couldn’t.

Glacia was at a loss for what to do. Kain had opened the door clearly with the intent to head to the bathroom, but he stopped before even passing the door frame. She assumed he was merely startled by the fact she was standing guard outside his door, most civilians weren’t used to having guards at their door. She quickly realized that wasn’t the case. He wasn’t startled, he was frozen. He didn’t move a muscle. Being that the last thing he looked at before practically freezing in time was her, his eyes were staring right through her. It rattled her a little. Fortunately it only lasted a few moments, he quickly apologized and kindly asked her for directions. She had actually been tasked with guiding him to the bathroom so instead of telling him where to go, she lead him there. The walk wasn’t particularly long, but it was long enough for Kain’s silence to be noticable. Glacia took a couple peeks behind her to see if he was okay. He was following her just fine, but his face looked distinctly expressionless. It seemed almost mechanical. It was nothing like when he was with Mr. Fortem.
They soon arrived at the bathroom. Kain thanked her with a slight bow and entered. Glacia, like all the arberdirs under the Fortems, was quite interested in Kain. They didn’t really know anything about him other than the fact he was asleep for a ridiculously long time. He was a child that could get Mr. Fortem worked up however, he had to be really special to accomplish that. There were rumors going around that he was the so called ‘God’s Disciple’ that everyone in town was looking for. Up until she saw his eyes, she didn’t believe it. Even after seeing them, she had her doubts. They weren’t doubts that he was the young, Imurian malsir in the rumors though. They were doubts he was as powerful as those rumors claimed. Having gone through that weird situation with him however, she was starting to feel like he definitely had something off about him.

That's basically how it works.
Okay...but how does that help me get rid of the glow?
It doesn’t. I was just explaining why it's there in the first place. To get rid of it...
