《The One Luna》Taming System

As soon as Luna arrived, everyone stood up to greet him. Paco then stepped forward and said, "Lord Luna, thank you for coming. We've come to a decision."
"It really does feel a bit awkward when people call me that, I'll admit. Just call me Luna, Paco." Luna knew people called him "Lord" out of respect and reverence, but that honestly wasn't his thing. It felt even more awkward when someone of a Ranger's caliber was saying it.
"As you wish. We wanted to tell you that we're willing to follow you in order to protect the people. On one condition: If the Philippine government still does exist, we will not commit to fighting them." Paco earnestly said. He was after all, a soldier who was trained to listen to orders from the higher ups.
"That won't be an issue. As long as you abide by our rules and do your part, you are welcome here." Luna replied, it didn't matter if they left in the future, the most important thing was that he could make use of their experience to help train his own soldiers.
Just as they were about to finish, Luna suddenly received a voice comm request from one of his men. Accepting it, he received a message from the other end of the line. "Lord Luna! I'm sorry to disturb you, but there's a problem in the Eastern wall. It looks like a giant Crocodile!"
Luna was quite surprised, there shouldn't be any crocodiles naturally living in that area. Unless.. There were two Zoos in the City, one was farther down south, but the one located towards the east was about 3 to 4 miles away. It wasn't a surprise that one of the animals would manage to wander here.
"There seems to be some trouble on the Eastern wall, excuse me, gentlemen." After excusing himself, Luna turned around and dashed towards the eastern side, it was lucky that the walls over there were the Adamantite ones. Elise who was with Boni after finally introducing him to her father, exchanged looks as they excused themselves and went towards the same direction as well.

Seeing them leave so quickly, Leman and the rest followed suit. When they got close to the wall, they already heard banging, the giant crocodile was probably around 30 meters long, weighing several tons the intermediate automated turrets didn't seem to do much, other than piss it off even more.
This was normal, the basic automated turrets were built for regular zombies, and the intermediate ones were built more for AoE blasts and evolved zombies. If it couldn't quite injure the tank variants, it definitely wouldn't affect the mutant crocodile's thick carapace.
While everybody was visibly shaken, Luna couldn't help but be excited. So far, there haven't really been that many challenges he'd faced, even the tank variants quickly became a joke, he couldn't wait for the zombies to evolve. Even with Sura and Max now both going out to massacre zombies, it still didn't allow him to hit level 30.
But now, with these mutant beasts who were naturally powerful, he felt as if he finally got the sparring partner he'd always wanted, with the amount of power they had, it was obvious how much life force these beasts had.
Not long after, Boni and Elise arrived behind him. Looking at the Crocodile whose noise making attracted some zombies, including a tank variant, then just gobbled them up, Boni spoke up and suggested something. "Bro, should we call Apple over to electrocute that thing from up here?"
Looking at Boni, Luna just smiled. "No need." Leman and the Rangers got there just in time to see Luna jump off of the high walls, something that even they, even being at level 20 would not come out uninjured. They all looked over to see Luna slam his Guandao onto the Mutated Croc's back and actually crushing it's scales, with blood gushing out.
Crying out in pain, it initiated it's signature move, the death roll. In truth, he could have waited till the Croc's more vulnerable belly was exposes and finished it off, but that would defeat his main purpose.

The mutant croc was quite fond of using it's incredibly long and powerful tail, Luna competed with it by deflecting it with his Guandao, trying to gauge his strength. As expected it's strength along with the momentum of swinging it's tail was indeed able to match Luna's, albeit, it did have one flaw, which was the fact that it did full swings, so it's attack speed was not able to match Luna's in the slightest. This was also before he utilized the Draconic armor.
He was pretty satisfied with this test so far, not only was he able to test his strength, it was also a morale booster for the troops to know that their leader could take out such a huge target. The Rangers now felt even moreso that following this man was the correct choice. These men didn't know about the fact that Luna had Apolaki and Mayari's blessing, nor did the fact that his body was renewed by his armor.
Paco along with the rest, had their mouths opened. The sight of a small human going up against such a giant and coming out ahead was beyond their comprehension. "I'm glad nobody overreacted when we saw him slaughtering Buencamino's men."
The rest of the Rangers could only nod in agreement. Boni and Elise tried their best to hold in their excitement as well, pretending as if this was something they would normally expect from their leader.
Right after he finished running his tests, Luna disappeared, only to reappear by the side of the Croc, sending and upward swing, slashing open the side, knocking it halfway to it's back, and with it's belly exposed, stabbed the soft spot closest to the tail and ran all the way up to the head. With it's innards spilling out, Luna noticed a small orb fall out along with 1,000 VIS automatically going into his inventory along with a skill book.
As soon as he received the life force for his kill.

All 30 points were pumped into VIT.
After reaching level 30, Sura finally gained access to her , the signature skill of the Asuran Race.
Afterwards, Luna examined the small orb he picked up.

-----------------------------------
Multiple ideas instantly came into Luna's head. What if he had his soldiers farm mutant beasts as well? Couldn't he potentially have a sizable cavalry unit? He quickly put that thought at the back of his head for now, after all, it was considered a rare drop, it wasn't reliable enough at the moment unless they farmed enough mutant beasts.
Looking towards the others at the top he yelled out. "Get this thing inside the base. We're having Crocodile for dinner tonight!"

Chronicles Of The Storylord: 12th Chronicle - Origin
Twelve souls were chosen to expand into the void surrounding the known universe(s), and were given a grace period in which they would experience a relatively safe expansion of their domains. Once that period is up, however, they are free to interact with each other...and what lurks in the depths of the Abyss, the Void, and the Primordial Chaos. I am the 12th soul, but I am not as those others are, for I am merely a shard. My purpose: begin the Tale anew. For I am the Storylord, and I am the Tale. The Tale is all, and all is the Tale, yet the Tale is myself, for I am all in my domain. This is my story, the saga of many, the legend… of the Tale. Just remember this: “This world is but a story, and all the stories are true...” This story is in the same general multiverse as RE: Deity by lightningwarrior21, but will be almost completely separate except in a few chapters. I have permission from him to use his base multiverse, and you should go check out his fiction, it’s really good. http://royalroadl.com/fiction/9597 This ‘fiction’ will be updated sporadically, so don’t expect much of a steady stream of chapters. (I’ll try to do one chapter a week, but no promises.) Suggestions on how to improve this universe helps with the management, so comments are welcome, as are Grammar Nazis. I’ve had this fiction mostly as scattered notes in my google drive, and only recently had enough time to actually put it together, like I promised lightning back in January. (Writer’s block and schoolwork do not mix well.) The cover is not owned by me, I found the image on google images. Anyway, I’ll be back yesterday… or was that tomorrow? (I really need to get that damn causality generator fixed, me-damnit!) See ya!
