《A Slip Of The Force》Chapter 6 - Another Awakening

“Oh god my head hurts so much, did I go drinking last night?” I ask myself as I wake up from what could only be a night of heavy drinking. But despite the state of my head my body felt better than ever, more limber and rested than I could have imagined maybe I got myself a massage in my drunken stupor.
“Oh god!” Though these thoughts came to an end when I opened my eyes and found myself in a cold dark stone room, that was definitely not my room there wasn’t even a bed. I quickly stumbled to my feet but was quickly knocked off of them by a sudden surge of memories that crashed into me like a tidal wave.
“Oh no! Oh no no no. This can’t be, there’s no way this can be possible. I was asleep in my bed just last night, how could this happen?” I try and convince myself that this isn't happening to me, tears flowing from my eyes, but I know deep down that this is all real and there is nothing I could possibly do to change the situation.
My memory has just come back to me for some reason, it would appear that my soul has been taken or ripped from my body and placed within this new body whilst I was asleep. But because of something that the aliens did to me I wasn’t myself, instead acting like their little bitch, doing everything they told me to do, not making a fuss for all of the pain and suffering that they inflicted upon me. Even Reaping hundreds of lives without hesitation, I was nothing but a convenient little puppet for them.
“THOSE BASTARDS!!! I WILL MAKE THEM SUFFER FOR ALL OF THIS!!! UUWAHHH!!!” I throw an understandable tantrum at these realisations bringing my fists down upon the ground repeatedly with more and more force and anger, the ground unable to take any more of my fury breaks apart sinking my hands within, capturing them. I took this moment of immobility to really let loose my emotions, scream as loud as I could cry as much as I could, there was no one around to hear me anyway.
My life has been stolen from me, everything I knew and loved taken away from me put far beyond my reach. I will never again be able to eat with my family, go shopping with Sarah, take Peter to the park. I will never again to experience the warmth and love that they felt for me, all because of these bastards! I vented my frustrations for what felt like hours until I came back to my senses and finally removed my hands from the ground.
I took this moment to inspect my hand, they really weren’t my own. They were at least one and half times bigger than my own, covered in warm purple muscle that pumped blood through them with vigour, uncaring for my plight and ending in four golden claws an inch in length that appeared sharp enough to tear through metal. The purple muscles covered the entirety of my body, packed so tightly together they almost seemed like skin but there wasn’t an inch of skin to be see nor bone felt, I had digitigrade legs that both ended in the same four golden claws as my hands with one claw at the back of my feet.
I had wide shapely hips that were common on a woman this was accompanied by a large chest, it wasn’t separated into two breasts or even have nipples though, it was just a single large mass of muscle though it did feel sensitive just like the rest of my body. I could feel the very air move and every inch of me. I saw 18 golden plates strewn over my body on each major bone and felt another five down my back. None of it covered by a thread of clothing, thanks to some bitch.

As for my head I had finger thick black tendrils that appeared to move at my will or simply hang there motionless, upon closer inspection of them I found out that they had tiny little barbs for holding onto things. As for what else I felt upon my head I had two small cones instead of ears, two large eyes, two nostrils but no nose to speak of and a single mouth with two lower jaws apparently, one that grew inside the mouth and another that grew along the outside like tusks.
Having given my body a thorough investigation I’m glad to find that I am still humanoid in appearance which will make it easier to get used to my body. Despite gaining experience in this body, having just truly awoken the recent memories have been somewhat overridden by my old life, but the muscle memories should make up for that only requiring a few hours of practice. I suppose one of the few things I can be thankful for in this situation is that I was given a whole load of information and training, which I can now use to fuck over those bastards from the Black Sun and the scientists.
I will most definitely make them regret doing all of this and let them share in some of my pain, it is only right after all gotta balance those scales and they are very off kilter. Now what to do? Ah I know!
“I’ll be taking you for later, you can sit right next to my new toy.” I say picking up the obvious Sith holocron placing it inside of my chest next to my new lightsaber, after all I’m sure that if it wasn’t for the holocron I wouldn’t have woken up, the force is nothing to mess with it would seem.
That’s right baby you heard me, Sith Holocron I’d recognise this little device anywhere, there aren’t many fictional universes that have something that look like this not have a lightsaber. It would appear that another blessing that I’ve been given is being dragged within the Star Wars universe, a place that I know fairly well or rather the history I know fairly well, I’m an avid fan afterall. The only problem is that I don’t know the date, maybe it’s before the Clone Wars or after, there’s no way to tell at the moment.
With my new holocron tucked away I made my way out of the cavern that I had found myself in, clambering my way back up to the surface. Once under the sun again I looked to my watch for directions and promptly followed them. What followed was a long trek over rocky terrain and through a small forest, while the sun set and raised all before I got back to my ship.
“Ah finally back, I’m starving let’s see where was the food again? Ah here.” I opened up a panel within my little space ship and took out some vacuum sealed food, promptly opening the packet and emptying it into mouth and I’ve got to say it was some of the blandest shit that I’ve ever tasted.
“Stingy bastards, the least they could do is spring for some tasty food for their pet. Tch.” I mutter to myself while doing up my harness and preparing the ship for flight. Soon enough I took off and headed back towards the palace that I entered before coming down to these lower levels.
Remembering my way towards his study, I walked unperturbed by all the guards, towards the King’s study and entered to tell of my completion.

“I’ve dealt with the target that you gave me along with the small rebellion group and Jedi that they had on their side, they shouldn’t be any further bother to you.” I state to him without any respect or with the silence that I gave him last time. Although I want those Black Sun bastards dead I can’t just come at them swinging otherwise they will see me coming from a mile away, and as such will carry on as usual so as not to raise suspicion.
“That’s good to hear you have my gratitude Harbinger. You may go.” He orders me and I am happy to do as told because I want to get killing as soon as possible. So I make a hasty retreat back to my ship and get out of here, along the way I also pilfered a little golden sculpture. I’m sure these people aren’t what you would be consider good people afterall they hired the services of the Black Sun.
---
I am now moments away from returning to base and am preparing myself to go on a rampage and slaughter everyone here. Although I said it wouldn’t be smart to come at them swinging it should be easy enough with this outpost, there aren’t more than 40 people aboard and none of would expect me to suddenly flip on them.
I will in fact use their expectations of me against them, in recent months they have been leaving me to return to my kennel by myself, like a trained dog, this time though I’m going to head straight for their control room and throw the entire facility into lockdown. Then hunt the fuckers down one by one until they’re all dead, then I will raid their computers and see if I can’t find any information about those who worked on making me and pilfer as many credits as possible.
My ship comes into the hangar and lands without any guidance needed, within the hanger are 13 people and six people working on various ships, keeping them in working order. None of them pay me any attention, thinking of me the same as a robot, not requiring any acknowledgement. I go on to make my way through the corridors at a leisurely pace passing only a few people and robots along the way.
I moved through the halls like a ghost, without a sound and unnoticed. Eventually I came upon the door that lead to the control room, I walked up to it and it opened upon noticing my presence. Inside were seven people, of various colours and races, mulling around doing their own thing at various stations but some of them looked up to see.
“Hey! What are you doing here? Go back to your kennel. Damn dog.” One in particular walked up to me and tried pushing me away, I just looked right into his eyes as he pushed against me, actually managed to make him flinch.
I then slowly smiled at him showing off my teeth that felt rather jagged and pointy, this only served to worry him further. I then walked forward into the room pushing him back with my body, soon after the door closed behind me.
“Hello.” I said in my most venomous tone even adding in a small rumble.
“I’m glad that we now have this… opportunity to talk.” The more I talked the more they appeared to grow fearful.
“You know this last little trip you sent me on was quite eye opening, it allowed me to really think about my life and what I want, you know?”
“How are you talking? Why aren’t you doing as told?” One of the people at the consoles asks, looking quite fearful.
“Oh well something got knocked loose inside of my head and freed me from my servitude and I must say I’m not particularly happy with what you’ve done to.” I give my reply to their question, deciding to pick up the man that stood before me by the neck.
“You I was never fond of killing. I can accept in some circumstances that it can be necessary. But I always felt that needless death could be avoided with a rational conversation, where one's grievances can be aired and worked through.” I slowly speak, closing my grasp around the man’s throat and tears beginning to pour from my eyes, my face may have even contorted a bit.
“But you bastards took away my will and forced me kill hundreds of people, not allowing me even an ounce of self respect or thought. You raped my mind, violated it, defiled it even. The only thing I can be thankful about in this whole situation is that in being imprisoned within my own my mind has removed such shackles from my mind and allowed me to gain the resolve needed to go a galaxy spanning killing spree in a bout of vengeance and fury.” I finish my speech with crushing the man’s neck and dropping him.
“The Harbinger has given their message and is here to collect.” I say before launching into the next man and plunging my clawed fist into his stomach and gouging out his organs. I then throw him towards one of my fleeing victims, knocking him down.
Some of the others reach into the clothes and pull out blaster and fire at me but I was too quick for them and managed to block most of their shots with my plates closing on them by the second and tearing out their throats and organs in swift motions to ensure a painful death.
It didn’t take me long to tear through each and everyone of them, thanks to the training that they gave me, thankfully in their fear none of them had the sense of mind to set off the alarm or send off a message to others.
This left me the control room at my disposal, the first thing I did was put the entire facility on lockdown and jam communications both in and out of the facility except for the terminal that I was using. With my prey now sealed inside and unable to escape the facility I took the time to look through the records and files that were held within this facility and then hack into outside terminals to retrieve more information about the Harbinger Project, who worked on it and where they are.
For the next two hours I scrolled through hundreds of data logs, picking out names and locations, writing my own code to seek out information within the server relating to the Harbinger Project. In total I found 174 people had worked on the project in a meaningful way, the majority of which were Kaminoan and Arkanian the rest being members of the Black Sun.
The Kaminoans and Arkanians were mostly within their home systems, few were spread throughout the galaxy, so I wouldn’t need to run all over the place to find them, though it will allow them to get the word out about my little hunt so I’m going to need to be fast.
With my targets locations downloaded onto a device that I could plug into a ship's interface I started making other preparations, chief among them bleeding the Black Sun’s accounts dry, or rather the ones I could get access to from this terminal, in total I managed to get my hands on 1,225,327 Galactic Credits which I think roughly translates to £450,000. This should be enough to get me around and allow me to kill everyone that I want, afterwards though I’m going to need to find a new source of income, maybe I can carry on with my current line of work I’m not bad at it and no longer have any compunctions towards it.
Anyway with my preparations made I set about the extermination of all life within this facility, making sure to erase all data from the terminals and deactivate the cameras so that the Black Sun doesn’t get confirmation that it is me who’s responsible for this mess.
I started walking through the halls once more, the bulkheads only opening up for me. I tracked down each of the remaining employees of the station using the force to sense out their life signatures. I’m not sure how I know how to do this mind you, it’s pretty innate in nature.
It was a pretty simple affair of walking through the rooms and corridors shooting those that were trapped inside. They were mostly mulling around waiting for the lockdown to be deactivated so that they could continue on with their work, when I would open the door they would in turn look thankful towards me for freeing them of their little imprisonment, before looking fearful as I raised my blaster to shoot them.
Clearing out the entire facility took me over an hour as they were pretty spread out throughout the place. I also made sure to deactivate all of the robots that I came across and fry their systems erasing any and all recordings of me they had. I want to be as much of a ghost as possible to these fools.
With the clean up taken care of I then headed towards the power station of this facility to rig it to blow at my command, wiping out this entire place. The Black Sun really did cram a great deal of knowledge into my head, making all of this so much easier to do.
As I left for the hanger I made sure to pick up some basic clothes to wear when I am in public. I may not have any genitals on display, as far as I am aware, but I ain’t no Wookiee. I found myself some simple black spandex shorts and top and a black leather coat, pretty non descript in my opinion and it fit rather well.
Everything set I got into a ship that was ready to leave and input the device with everyone's location, choosing to first visit the Kaminoans, I took off and flew out of the hanger. Once a safe distance away I stopped the ship and blew up the facility, it was a spectacular show, explosions in space are far more interesting they have no gravity pushing against them. Now with the show over I flew off into space to start my hunt.

Red Street Daybreak
August Samuel Hatch was born under an inauspicious pattern of stars. It's granted him what is widely considered the most unlucky of inconveniences: becoming host to a powerful but pernicious spirit that will act as his guide and protector--and one day end his life. Sairne is sworn to stand by August's side and, when the fancy strikes her, advise him, all in the service of atoning for a past life she can’t remember having committed a grave enough offense to earn her soul indentureship in the mortal realm. Bound by a celestial contract neither one can negotiate, their fates are all they've ever known. But in a city ruled by religious right and where magic runs deep as bedrock, their search for a missing friend leads them to a dark conspiracy that could transmute the very magic that binds them to their fates, and that might grant them the ultimate choice: do they save the city or save themselves? Cross-posted on Wattpad and Ao3. For fans of fantasy YA story beats if they starred adults instead, 1920s inspired setting, lots of banter, larger cast of characters, somewhat soft magic system. Completed, but being actively edited prior to posting! I'm the only captain on this ship, so mind any errors.
