They watched as the spear broke the sword and went through her body. Then, they witnessed her trying to reach him with her hands and fail and they heard her whisper.

They watched as her eyes glazed and they closed.

They remained still as her blood flowed down the shaft of their spear and covered their hands in red.

They took back the spear.

And they dropped it as they hurried to catch Ame’s body instead.

Tears streamed down their face.

“WHAT HAVE I DONE?!” they screamed.

The roar echoed all over yet remained drowned in the midst of the grand battle. It was just another corpse in a random place.

But not to them.

“It’s their fault…It’s their fault…It was not me…It was them…”

“IT’S BECAUSE OF THEM!”

It dropped the lifeless body of Ame down as it grabbed the spear back.

Anger moved it and nothing else was within it. It roared as it let loose all of his power. Then, it began a carnage.

Jin rushed within the battlefield with the sole goal to eliminate everything that stood.

Nangua’s body twitched as a vine extended from his neck and reached his head. Then, through great efforts, it reconnected both.

Nangua’s face moved as he began to cough and breath heavily. Sweat covered his entire back and front.

He nearly died.

Nearly.

Then it laughed. Of happiness.

“I made the right choice!”

Jin…His Young Master…He was perfect! His potential was beyond anything Nangua could have ever hoped for.

Nangua sat back up and watched with a grin as Jin continued to make his way to Ame, grinding bodies like it did not matter.

Then, he witnessed Jin kill Ame.

And he frowned.

“Fuck”

Nangua made his move as soon as Jin picked his spear back up and rushed into the fray. He ran and grabbed Ame’s corpse quickly.

He could sense that her soul had yet to dissipate and being attracted by the heavens. He hurriedly took something out of his spatial ring.

It was a bottle filled with a dark green liquid pulsating with orange. He opened it and brought it to her lips.

“Do or die”

He let the liquid drip into her mouth. She could no longer drink of course. He frowned as he stopped and then, as he looked at the hole within her chest, he made up his mind.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

There was nothing left to lose anyways.

He dropped the liquid down that hole. It began to fill it.

And he prayed the heavens.

It was one thing to serve a demon. It was another to serve a devil.

For Jin to be the right leader, he needed someone that could help moderate him. This was Ame.

Nangua believed that they needed her for Jin to keep moving forward. And Nangua needed Jin to move forward.

And so, he prayed for her to survive this ordeal.

He looked at the battlefield. Jin was slaughtering everything wherever he went as all of the elements he controlled were let loose carelessly.

That kind of spiritual expenditure…It was something that could not be sustained. No, it was something that should not be sustained.

Yet, as the corruption continued to reabsorb nutrients, Jin could continue to go wild.

No one on this battlefield would be able to stop him.

Nangua looked down at the corpse of Ame within his arms. He made up his mind. He got up as he held her.

Then, he rushed away from the battle.

He could not risk her body being damaged further and he could not risk his own life either. He fled with a corpse in his arms.

Meanwhile, in the Palace, Cheng walked down the corridors.

Whenever a guard appeared, a rope grabbed him by the neck and hanged him from the ceiling.

Cheng continued with no one able to obstruct his path.

In front of his justice and his will, no one could stand. Not in Vrislorin.

He walked until he reached the throne room.

Within it, the throne had been pushed aside and a stairway revealed.

Guarding it was a young man in crystal battle robe holding a sword of dazzling yellow.

It introduced itself: “Traumen Elion”

Cheng did the same with a grin: “Cheng”

Then, Traumen Elion pounced forward. His sword pointed straight at Cheng’s head.

Cheng did not even move as the sword stopped mere centimeters away from piercing between his eyebrows.

Ropes were coiled all over Elion.

Cheng asked: “Have you sinned Elion?”

Elion could not answer as roped coiled further onto his body. It wrapped all over his body. Then, it began to shrink. He was slowly squeezed by the ropes much like a towel filled with water.

It was not water that escaped though. It was his blood.

He was squeezed to death as Cheng grinned: “Of course you did, Elion”

The ropes disappeared as mangled pieces of a body dropped to the ground with a disgusting noise of flesh. Cheng did not care as he moved towards the stairway. His shoes stepped over the minced meat, squishing it further.

He did not even react.

And he went down the stairway.

Moments later, he reached a grand hall.

Within it, on one end, was a throne made of the tree the capital was built upon. Under the throne was a gigantic formation filled with runes.

And on top of the throne was a man.

The monarch of this kingdom.

He looked at Cheng coldly: “You do understand what will happen if you stop me”

Cheng laughed as he extended a palm forward and a rope rushed out of it towards the Monarch.

The Monarch did not move as hundreds of branches shot out from the ground and blocked the rope.

The Monarch snickered: “Do you really think that you can go against the sacred tree alone?”

Cheng grinned as he extended his second palm forward.
