《Re:Direction The Peak (Cultivation Tale)》CH. 122

A spiritual collar formed around the neck of the baby Carnassid. It was a thin vibrant blue circle and constantly in movement as if fire. Min-Su's tattoo appeared on the back of his right hand, as expected. The technique forced it to be so. It was a small mark the size of a pellet, around half a thumb. And it depicted two giant jaws filled with this. It was a black ink tattoo.
As Hae-Hyuk observed it, he was thoughtful. A tattoo was always unique to the beast. Though there were doubles due to the innumerable beasts tamed over the eons, they were mostly considered unique. And they represented the beast tamer's belief in how he perceived his beast. The fact that a pair of jaw appeared meant that Min-Su indeed thought that the little Carnassid would become a fearsome monster.
It was fine in its own way. Hae-Hyuk would have likely thought the same. After all, why try to rear a spiritual beast if not for it to become a helpful fighter?
As for Min-Su, he was staring at the Carnassid with a weird expression. That didn't go unnoticed by his Master who asked him what was wrong. Min-Su explained: "I can hear his thoughts, Master"
Hae-Hyuk nodded as he explained: "The binding art I gave you not only enable you to become the master of the beast but to also communicate with it. It is a high-level contract art. With this, you will be able to fight alongside this Carnassid much more easily. Not only that but rearing it will be much easier too. Understanding the needs and wants of your new partner is a huge advantage for a beast tamer"
Min-Su agreed but there was still something wrong. The little beast had only one thought in his mind. He wanted to eat the beautiful white and dark strands. ...And that was Hae-Hyuk's hair. It was quite difficult for Min-Su to keep up with a voice in his head complaining about eating his master's hair.

So, he asked: "Is there a way to make the voice stop?"
Hae-Hyuk nodded and told him: "Will to cancel the telepathic link and it will happen"
Min-Su tried. And he failed. He looked at his Master with reproachful eyes. Hae-Hyuk chuckled as he told him: "Did you manage to will spiritual energy on your first try? You will need to practice. That aside, should we take this time to also bind the other two?"
Min-Su pondered for a moment. He would be forced to hear the voices of two more baby creatures if he did so. It wasn't very appealing. However, this pain would force him to work hard in figuring out the on/off options of his link. He decided to consider it a trial to forge himself and go with it.
Hae-Hyuk had left the choice to him and having gotten an answer, he began to start the hatching process. First, he picked the two eggs and placed them on the ground. He proceeded to take out a lot of sand from his spatial ring. He drowned the eggs halfway in sand. Then, he took out two dozen emeralds and a dozen spiritual iron ore. He put them around the eggs equally. Finally, he infused his spiritual energy into the eggs.
Five minutes later, cracks began to appear. And moments later, there were holes. From them, two slippery green eel-like things came out. They made a weird metallic noise as if to greet the world. Then, they hurriedly began to eat the different ores around them. Only once they finished eating them all did they coiled themselves and rested.
Min-Su had observed the two newborn wurms since the start. He was quite unimpressed. They weren't longer or bigger than one of his arm. However, his opinion changed as he saw them open their jaws who seemed filled with rows upon rows of teeth and devour chunks of tough rocks. If they were this ferocious as newborns, what about grown-ups?

Hae-Hyuk patiently waited until they finished their meal before he told Min-Su to proceed. Now that they had hatched and successfully had a filling first meal, their birth was complete. And as such, binding could proceed. It didn't take long and it wasn't too difficult either. Min-Su was now aware of the process. Two new tattoos appeared close to the first one. They depicted circular jaws this time with only one difference between each other, the color. One was grey and the other emerald.
At the same time as they appeared, voices were heard in Min-Su's head. And they kept repeating a single word: 'Rock'. The same word on repeat, again and again. It wasn't even a minute later that Min-Su closed his eyes and began to focus on cancelling the telepathic link. He would go mad soon if he didn't manage to figure this out. This might be too much of a motivation.
Seeing his reaction, even Hae-Hyuk was slightly surprised. He did expect it to be slightly bad due to three voices appearing at once in his apprentice's head but not to the point that he would need to go right away in meditation. He couldn't blame though as he didn't have any knowledge on baby wurm taming. It wasn't his area of expertise. He was aware of quite a lot about them but not that much either. In the end, Min-Su would have to deal with it himself.
Hae-Hyuk decided to leave his disciple alone as he worked and went in a different room. It had an entire level to himself anyway.
A few hours later, Jin came to his door. As they sat down, Hae-Hyuk asked him: "So, have you decided on your spear's third element?"
Jin nodded and said: "Sharpness"
Hae-Hyuk smiled slightly as he asked him: "That's an unusual element, what brought you to pick this one?"

Tur Briste
A Druid cultivation novel. Borrows concepts from Wuxia and Xianxia but using Druid myth and lore. More on this at the bottom. Crow is son of Maddox, a Druid with an ancient bloodline and a people with a story spanning toward the beginning of time. Cursed, unfated, and a heap of bad luck have brought him only pain and suffering, but nothing will stop him. Nothing can stop him. A son of Maddox doesn’t bow his head. A son of Maddox understands that only a man with roots, with something to lose, will fight until the last drop of blood leaves his body. The Draoidh were once a proud people. They were both respected and hated for their form of righteousness. Power wasn’t something they gained through the might of their arms, but through intelligence. Their fall was all the more disheartening for the weaker cultivators. The tens of thousands of years that followed… chaos reigned. They forced Draoidh until most fled to the lower realms, nearly wiped out and exhausted. They went into hiding and became known as the Druids of the Oak. The Druid Order wasn’t the powerhouse it had been, and only nine of the major clans survived the calamity. Their bloodline weakened, as well as their prestige. Even the remaining clans fought amongst each other. Already on the decline and near extinguished, the Maddox clan can only struggle for survival, but their foundation wasn’t a joke. Weakened, but not weak. The other clans will understand this difference soon enough. Tur Briste, the Shattered Tower, awaits Crow’s ascension. Reaching the upper realms is only the first step in reestablishing the Draoidh. The Druids of the Oak remembered every betrayal and grievance, and they’ll return to power and reclaim what once belonged to them. The upper realms may have forgotten, but the Druid Order has not. Please Note:1) This is harem story. There are only a few chapters with sex, and it’s not a focus of the story. I’ll only add graphic sex if I feel the story needs it, so not gratuitously. Either way, Crow has several women. This is in line with Druid/Celtic history, and harems/reverse harems were an accepted part of their culture. Further, they had open marriages, meaning the man or woman could end their marriage at any time. While it was still a patriarchy, women had almost equal power. They were a very progressive culture. 2) There is a period of a 30-50 chapters where Crow loses the ability to cultivate like a Druid so he adopts an eastern body cultivation method for a while. This is temporary, but some people feel it’s misleading, so I am pointing it out ahead of time. I promise, the Druid stuff comes back, and 90% of the lore/myths/creatures/gods are all related to Druid/Celt/Irish/Scottish history. 3) I use many original names, most of which are in Gaelic or Irish. In the story, I refer to this language as Ancient. I enjoy all kinds of folklore and myths, so I encourage you to google those original names as they arrive. I give some background on them at the end of the chapter in my author’s note. 4) I use Ogham runes a lot, these are like the Druid alphabet, and they based each rune on a sacred tree so they also have symbolism associated with them. Again, feel free to google that too. It’s pretty neat stuff. Quick Translations:Draoidh = DruidTur Briste = Shattered Tower or Broken Tower Release Schedule:As of Oct 1, 2021- 3 chapters released every Sunday (May have up to two bonus chapters)- Side character chapters… this might be bonus chapters I release through the week. So they won’t count toward the 3 chapters on Sunday.- Please understand I work full time, have two kids, and can’t spare as much time as I’d like toward my writing. Maybe in the future I can switch to doing this full time, but for now 3 chapters is a comfortable pace for me. Lastly… I very much appreciate all my readers and thank you for allowing me to entertain you!
