《Re:Direction The Peak (Cultivation Tale)》CH. 28

Many other disciples and elders walked by the aisles and he was seen by quite a few but no one went to help him. No one cared. People may seem nice here but they remained cultivators. If it didn't cost them anything, they did not mind helping a fellow sect mate. However, if it had a cost, they would not. And from the looks of it, they would need to give out some healing pills to the bleeding kid if they decided to help.

Would they waste their own healing pills on someone they didn't know? With no assurance that they would be reimbursed later on? Of course they would not.

As such, Jin layed there bleeding for a few hours until he woke up. He was quite dizzy as he woke up. As he sat down, he looked around. It took him a moment to remember where he was. Fourth floor of the Library. Right. So, why did he nap here again? As he began to think of this, the memories came back.

The first one that came was the one of his success. He did manage to shape his will into his old trusty spear. He finally had something to use to turn the spiritual energy into lines! He couldn't help but laugh in happiness at such a success. All the problems and anxiety had now vanished from his mind.

Then, it was the memory of the blood that came back. He thought about it for a moment and really could not understand why he had been bleeding previously. Regardless, it was now obvious that he didn't nap but instead lost consciousness. The fact that he was still feeling a bit groggy might be related to the blood loss too.

As a warrior, health was very important. And so, even though he had to fight through the euphoria of success, he decided to get some rest until he felt himself in tip-top form. Whatever happened, it was a truth that he bled out. He needed to recover the lost blood at the very least. Blood was important.

And so, he picked the parchment and put it back in the shelves then made his way back home. He was stared at far more than usual on the way back. It likely had to do with the dry blood all over his face and the top of his robes. There were no bathrooms in the library so he had no choice but to go home like this.

He was quite used to being bleedy and dried blood was nothing short of the usual to him. That being said, the looks he was given were quite irritating. Are cultivators actually unused to seeing blood? Nah, couldn't be. Those guys even at the lowest level were ready to kill without a care. It had been proven during his entrance test. Blood was nothing to them.

Even in the otuer court arena, the fights were quite bloody. So why were they looking at him like that? Oh. Now that he thought about it, he hadn't seen a single cultivator with blood on his self outside the arena while in the sect. Maybe that was why? Could it be that fights never happened outside the arenas and so, bleeding cultivators in the streets was a myth? It could be.

Regardless, he did plan to wash up first once home. And that he did. He stood quite a long time relaxing in a hot bath. Now with a way out to start cultivation, he was longer worried. Taking one or two day off to rest was an option. And he would take it.

As such, he spent the next two days lazing around. Only his early morning jog could count as him exercising. Regardless of what it was, Jin liked to give it his all. Resting was the same. As such, it was only after two days that he resumed cultivation...

He entered his soul sea after two days and was glad to not see just a dark space. There was a spear floating around too. That was great. He had succeeded and now he could truly feel it. It was now time to use it. He willed the spear to move here and there and it did. Controlling it was easy. That was good. Enough that he could go on with his plan.

He opened his eyes and lit a candle in his room. There were new dots of spiritual energy around and ready to be eaten. He decided to only eat one first and try his theory on it.

Back in his soul sea, there was a small dot of light and a spear. But the spear was two-meter tall. And the dot was minuscule. How would he be able to turn that dot into a line with a spear anyways? He was facing a new problem right off the bat...

As he thought that it would at least be easier if the spear was the size of the dot, the spear shrank to that very size. He couldn't help but consider it a great discovery. Smaller or not, the image of the spear itself remained the same. From this, Jin understood that he could shrink or enlarge the spear however he wanted.

But then again, how do you turn a sphere into a line with nothing but a spear? This problem required a solution but he had none. He couldn't help but feel like it would have been easier if he had managed to shape his will as his body...It would have been easy if he could use his hands. Just like modeling clay...Wait. Couldn't he make a hand?

He tried. And failed. Then, he thought of making what was closest to hands in shape: gloves. It failed too. Then he tried random ideas and it always failed. Then, he tried to make another spear, the very same one but a second one.

And it worked.

There were now two identical spears in his soul sea. And he was unconscious on his bedroom floor bleeding.
