《The fool's paradise (dungeon novel)(complete)》117

A scroll was handed to Lucifer by Ellora that came with a small shipment of prisoners, he undid the seal and while thinking about the reasons this wasn’t sent over Ahri’s communication device, however, after reading the first and only line he knew, they were military orders from Arthus himself, something that he didn’t want intercepted by any possible Magedom spies, it simply read “AT MEETING LOCATION WITH FRIENDS IN 4 DAYS”.
Although Lucifer thought Arthus was being too cautious he could see the necessity of it. Lucifer began his plans immediately, the tunnel lengths that were being widened were cleaned up of any debris as he moved all the ants and golems out of the way. He ran the tunnel air systems a few times as a test, the tubes connecting the tunnels to the entrance humming to life as small magic arrays activated, fresh air filled the tunnels at a satisfying rate and Lucifer moved on.
He ordered Ellora to not kill any access prisoners for the time being and had them work on preserving and preparing food. Lucifer then had Ahri go above ground and buy all the food she could, this would drive the prices up temporarily but Lucifer had more important matters to deal with.
Once he had large stockpiles of food ready he sent them to the resting areas of the tunnel. The army would have their own food, but he was familiar with rations and knew soldiers fight better when they are well fed.
Next he sent all the dungeon creatures he planned to use in the coming war towards the tunnel exit, then he entered one of his labs secret chambers, the chamber was huge, almost half the size of the first floor, in the centre an enormous crystal glowed a deep blue with runes crisscrossed over the surface of the orb.

Lucifer stepped over countless bodies until he just started walking over them instead, some were armored others weren’t, some had limbs missing and most wore a similar uniform. Once he got to the crystal he placed his palm on the crystal and concentrated for a moment.
The crystal shone brilliantly burning Lucifer retinas before he could close his eyes, moments later the crystal sent out a green shock-wave throughout the chamber, several seconds later the sound of clinking armor filled the chamber as most of the bodies shambled into a standing position. Lucifer grinned to himself as he sent them along the tunnel, this would complicate matters.
After settling a few more matters and sending some supplies down the tunnel Lucifer went to Selenia’s room, he found her carving an animal he didn’t recognize, she looked up and said, “don’t you knock”
“it's my house” replied Lucifer.
“what if I was changing” Selenia sarcastically remarked
“then I would have watched the show with my dungeon sense” laughed Lucifer, Selenia immediately blushed and failed to hide it greatly amusing Lucifer, before she could ask why he was here he directly grabbed her by the waist and lifted her into his shoulder before walking out.
“what are you doing” Selenia flustered
“taking you to test out my new bed” Lucifer laughed lewdly, Selenia immediately started struggling and kneed him in the face breaking his nose.
“ow Fuck it was a joke stop struggling” Lucifer roared as he slapped her ass a little harder than he intended causing her to shout in surprise. During her momentary lapse in struggling, Lucifer took something out of his storage ring and activated a spell.
The rope that he just took out wriggled itself according to Lucifer's will and rapidly tied Selenia up before she knew what was happening. Then he threw hogtied elf to the ground and began fixing his nose.

Lucifer didn’t cut off the pain receptors of his brain so waves of pain assaulted his nose as he fixed it, Selenia hit the ground with a thud and complained, “if your joking why did you tie me up” Lucifer could hear the slight panic In her voice as she continued, “I have a thing about being tied up--”
“oh you should have let me know, I’ll tie you up anytime” Lucifer joked
Selenia yelled “fuck off, being tied up isn’t a kink of mine, its a recurring nightmare I used to have while I was on the run”
Lucifer countered, “it may not be a “kink” of yours, but the fact that you know about it is suspect enough, and the fact that you didn’t complain when I spanked you”
Selenia was stunned for a few moments before she finally almost calmly asked, “so why did you do this, jokes aside”
Lucifer thought about how to reply as he heard her muttering about birds of a feather and something about Lucky, he could lie about this, but she would figure it out so he decided to rip the bandage off quickly.
“we are going to the elf forest” replied Lucifer, Selenia paused for half a beat before struggling even more fiercely than before.
Selenia started cursing Lucifer as he picked up the elf bundle and began walking towards the tunnel entrance.
After struggling for a few minutes Selenia complained, “what is this rope made of asshole, I can’t break it no matter how much mana I put in my body”
Lucifer casually replied, “its something I had Rick make up for me specifically for you”
Selenia rebutted, “I said I’m not into that…” she looked away as far as her bindings would allow and quietly asked, “can you untie me now, this rope is rubbing really weird places”
Lucifer jolted and replied, “sorry, old habits... I guess” earning himself a glare. Before he untied her he asked, “are you going to struggle once I set you free”
“no” she answered.
“then I will keep you tied up,” said Lucifer,
“WHAT!!”
A knowing smile crept across Lucifer's lips as he said, “I will set you free when your lie sounds more convincing”
Several hours later Lucifer untied the grumpy elf, she stretched her cramped muscles while glaring at Lucifer, “you could have just used the soul bond to make me go, I don’t know why you went to so much trouble to convince me to go”
Lucifer was silently casting a spell and activated it before replying, “you can’t make someone face their problems, it never works out”
The both of them flashed after the spell completed and Selenia looked around, there were thousands of beasts resting in a large cavern, after several moments of realization she screamed, “if you could have teleported us then WHY WAS I TIED UP FOR SO LONG”
Lucifer shrugged and replied, “I kinda forgot I could do that”

Sorcery in Boston
The timid daughter of some of the greatest spellcasters ever to have lived has found herself in another world, courtesy of magic gone awry. In Boston, Massachusetts, in the year 1935, she finds some kind souls in a hard era. In the heart of the Great Depression, as war looms around the corner, she seeks to find her place, and must come to terms with both who she is and what she truly desires. Author's Notes: Release Note: I recently realized what the hold up is. My current mental state is not compatible with the planned ending. If I wrote the ending according to what currently feels right, it will be a wretched, cruel ending that feels monstrously unfair and invalidates the work of the various characters... because that's how my life feels at the moment. The planned ending is coming out hollow and awkward, no matter how I write it, and so I've been bashing my head. I will finish it, once I manage to either brute force something decent out, or once my head gets screwed on straight. Audience: This story is not for young children - it contains some profanity, sexual content, violence, gore, and significant adult themes. Most of these are handled delicately enough not to upset teens or adults (hopefully), hence the lack of relevant tags, but it is nonetheless unsuitable for youth. It's fairly slow paced, and focused on the development of very human, very flawed individuals. Length / Completion Estimates: The outline currently involves two books. Book 1 is expected to be done with Chapter 43. It'll probably be completely finished by sometime in March of this year. I expect to move on to the far-more-lighthearted Of Gods and Dungeons (currently in progress / on hiatus). Afterwards, I may decide to redo Book 1, or write Book 2, or actually start sharing the story most dear to me, that I've been working on for several years now. Draft 1: Please be aware that this is first draft material. I do intend to come back to do a second draft after the story is complete. If anyone notices any issues whatsoever with the story, please let me know (pm, etc) so that I can improve the second draft. Writer's Pledge: I've taken the Writer's Pledge, meaning I'm commiting to completing this story. I'm a proud member of WriTE, a group dedicated to finishing stories. It will be done! Behind the Scenes notes: This picture was commissioned from an inked artist by the name of DanP. Up until the time of the protagonist's arrival, history has proceeded as before. Some places and characters have been borrowed from wikipedia entries of interesting figures from the time. I will make note in the chapter comments when such things come up. Naturally, I've taken a great deal of liberty with them. In interest of respecting individuals, I've either attempted to portray them as accurately as possible, or modified them sufficiently enough that they're simply an inspiration, instead of a real portrayal. I've attempted to be as accurate to the era as possible, but I'm not a historian. If you're aware of inaccuracies, please, bring them to my attention so that I can correct them.
