A dozen days went by and Ahri watched Lucifer trudge around the dungeon for the umpteenth time. She wasn't sure what he was doing because the dungeon was already repaired the second day after the battle, he just needed to rebalance the floors because most of the predators died fighting the invaders.

After seeing him silently leave the dungeon carrying a sack she decided to follow him. A short stealth spell later and she was on his tail.

It didn't take long before they she found out were Lucifer had been going, the adventurers guild. Lucifer pushed open the door and Ahri squeezed through the doorway before it closed on her.

A few people sent nods his way and one man went up to Lucifer and greeted "Hey Shen hows it going, have you decided to join our party yet, you don't know when your time is going to be up in the dungeon when you're by yourself" all the while sporting a wide grin.

Lucifer ignored the wordy man and continued to the counter, the receptionist greeted him with a businesslike smile and he simply handed the bag to her over the counter.

Everyone sat up straight in their seats to see what Lucifer brought this time. The receptionist asked Lucifer "do you mind", Lucifer replied in monotone "I don't care" before the receptionist started taking things out of the bag.

She pulled out all the items from the bag and set them along the countertop, several whistles were heard from the other adventurers as conversation broke out. The receptionist frowned and told Lucifer "I'm not too familiar with alchemy so I'll have to go call Marie", Lucifer nodded and she went into one of the rooms behind the counter and soon came out with another lady, she was a short and overweight woman wearing a stained robe and the smell that came with her appearance said she was an alchemist.

Lucifer hadn't seen this woman many times because most of the plants he brought previously were very common, so the normal receptionists were able to identify them. This woman was apparently the guilds appointed alchemist.

The alchemist went to the counter and immediately went to work identifying the plants. Most of the time she just looked closely at a plant before moving to the next one, but she stopped and examined some plants for longer before nodding to herself and moving on, one plant even required her to go back into her room and retrieve a book, she flipped through the book until she found the same plant as the one on the table and excitedly shouted "ha found it".

By this point, the counter was surrounded by the adventurers who wanted to get a better look, they have never seen Marie so excited before, after every plant she identified her grin became a little deeper, until by the end she looked as if someone had taken a knife to her face to make her smile longer, someone even wanted to ask "where she got those scars".

Ahri became visible out of everyone's sight and poked an adventurers shoulder asking "who is that man". The adventurer turned around and froze when he saw Ahri. He saw her tilt her head slightly when he was just staring at her blankly, then he noticed her robes, they belonged to the Arcane University. This immediately cleared his mind up as he quickly replied her question he could barely remember.

"ah he's Shen, an adventurer" was the reply that he barely managed to get out.

Ahri frowned and was about to ask for more information, but the man saw her expression and hastily continued, "umm he came to this guild just a couple days ago, must have slipped in with all the cities people returning home after the attack. I wasn't there when it happened but people say he walked into the guild dragging the third-floor guardian's corpse by himself, you know the big cat one that can even take out experience groups.

Umm, every couple of days he comes here and sells some loot, doesn't even take a quest or anything just dives right into the dungeon alone, you know one of those crazy types."

Meanwhile, the receptionist had a quill and book out and was asking Lucifer questions. Where did he find these plants, what he fought, weaknesses and strengths of the things he fought. Lucifer casually droned off some information while all the adventures listened closely behind him.

Most adventurers would keep any tricks in a dungeon to himself to make more money, however, the adventurer Shen didn't seem to mind sharing, now every time Shen showed up all the adventurers would gather around the counter to pick up any useful information to help them live.

Lucifer purposely told the guild information for them to spread, although most of the information was correct and would help save lives, He made sure to include information on the most dangerous places people hadn't discovered yet, he was also especially careful to mention all the great loot there was there. The large bag of coins he received before he left the guild did a lot of convincing too.

Now Lucifer didn't have to wait for the adventurers to figure out where the best loot and the most danger was, he could simply tell them.

Ahri didn't notice Lucifer slip out after receiving payment and was instead surrounded by adventures once they saw her appearance. Considering her attire noone would dare to do anything to her, but that didn't mean they wouldn't try chatting her up. Although Ahri could talk to people now she still found being surrounded to be quite overwhelming, she wished that she remembered to apply the disguise so she didn't catch the eye of so many people.

Someone asked "why has the arcane university sent you here"

Ahri gently replied, "to study the dungeon" while trying to worm her way out of the group.

Another man wanted to get her attention by saying something intelligent, "you know the dungeon has done alot of strange things, do you know that the giant lake in the city wasn't there until recently"

"of course she knew, even a dumbass would notice several miles of water suddenly appearing inside a city, beside it wasn't the dungeon that did it, it was obviously the army that invaded that blew open that hole"

Several people started discussing the strange happenings of the dungeon while Ahri was stuck in the middle.

"did you hear that the third-floor guardian got replaced"

"you idiot it's still a Panther"

"yea but its so much easier to kill now so it must have been replaced with a younger one"

"there is also new alchemical ingredients spread throughout the dungeon"

"and the miners have been saying the purity of the ores has increased by a couple percent"

"has anyone noticed that "that freaky ass door" is missing"

"yea I was about to show some newbies the door to give them a good fright and looked like an idiot, why didn't anyone tell me the door moved"

"how didn't you know about it, the whole guild was talking about it for days"

"I was on a quest to protect a lumberers group while they got wood from the valley"

"Isn't the valley flooded"

"yea a couple miles of wetlands are now underwater, probably because the dungeon started leaking more water"

"I know, those bloody city planners are using our earth mage because they are short on manpower to fix the aqueducts, apparently the water flow has been increasing all week and soon it was going to start overflowing"

"that's too bad man, Its already hard enough to get a mage into your party, especially an earth mage"

"I didn't think it would be possible to get an earth mage to go dungeon diving when there is a city being built"

"well quite a few earth mages will be put out of business soon"

"how can an earth mage run out of business"

"recently there have been blocks of dungeon stone just sitting in the dungeon, the dwarf smith is even going crazy getting people collecting them for him"

"whats that got to do with the earth mages"

"well once the dungeon starts giving more of those stone blocks then the earth mages won't be needed, besides we both know how much those mages charge for even lifting their dicks"

"I've seen one of those blocks, If I known that it was worth anything I would have took it"

"well you better have a cart then because those blocks are enchanted dungeon stone, our party was tasked with collecting them for the dwarf and they weighed a ton, worse yet we were ambushed nearly every time we took a stone"

By now most of the group were focusing on the conversation and only a few men were still intent on chatting up Ahri, so she was able to slip away from the group and once she was outside she quickly casted invisibility to escape anyone who was following.

Once she was far away from the adventurers guild she breathed a sigh of relief, she only just recently regained the ability to talk to people so public speaking was a little too difficult for her.

However, Ahri had finally figured out what Lucifer was doing, she was worried that he was depressed because of the way he looked when he moved around the dungeon. Now she knew that he wasn't simply wallowing in the dungeon and was actually doing something productive, but unbeknownst to her Lucifer was sitting in a bar too far from her drinking heavily.

Sometime later.

Ahri came across Selena and Rick discussing something, Lucky was sleeping on Kuros head as the Panther layed there lazily.

Selena said "I'm sure he is depressed, he hasn't said anything in days"

Rick replied "what do you expect, he just finished defeating one enemy and he learns that another stronger foe is coming. Even the strongest of minds will waver under a constant assault"

Ahri joined in "I just saw him go to the adventurers guild, he's still working on the dungeon so he's not depressed"

"the adventurers guild?" Rick and Selena asked in unison.

Ahri briefly explained what she saw and heard when she followed Lucifer.

"I see," said Rick.

Selena looked at Ahri strangely and said, "just because he's still working doesn't mean he isn't depressed, how naive can you be"

Rick added "she is a rather sheltered girl so that's to be expected"

Ahri pouted and Rick was still thinking about a solution when he suddenly exclaimed: "that's it". He looked towards Ahri and with a shit eating grin said, "Lucifer may be a dungeon but he is still a man, so Ahri why don't you go bed him haha", Ahri immediately went red and Rick laughingly continued "actually why don't the both of you go, I'm sure that will make him a little bit happy"

Rick quickly took a step back and raised his hands while maintaining the grin when Selena reached for her weapon, although after a moment she thought better of it and settled for just glaring at the man.

Meanwhile, Ahri was thinking "this might be my only chance, he doesn't even look at me so if he really is depressed he might just do something out of character"

Ahri quickly left with a red face while saying "I couldn't do something like that", Rick and Selena obviously didn't believe her when she was moving towards the deeper parts of the dungeon so quickly.

Later.

Lucifer was sitting cross-legged holding a small crystal in his hands. He felt something odd and when he came out of his state he found Ahri in his lab, he coldly stated "I don't remember allowing you inside the part of the dungeon"

Ahri jumped in fright and coyly answered: "I was just checking up on you".

"then why do you have a red face" Lucifer rebuked.

Ahri laughed dryly as she quickly escaped.

Sometime later Lucifer stopped his work and frowned, Ahri was standing near him in a daze. Once he noticed her she jumped before disappearing.

Lucifer has had enough and growled "why the fuck are you here again"

With no answer forthcoming, he started flicking through his different types of sight. After a moment he thought "I see" and jokingly said, "so now it's the honey trap. although the honey is too shy to trap anything"

Lucifer could see her invisible form freeze when he hit the nail on the head.

Seeing as she wasn't replying still he continued, "so you want to use my poor mood and drinking to get into my bed. Well I'm not entirely against the idea at the moment"

"really" came the soft reply that was barely audible.

Lucifer replied "well I'm in a shitty mood and wouldn't mind having some fun. Although I want you to answer two questions first"

Ahri became visible again and looked a mix between dying of shame slightly hopeful and a mix of other emotions.

Lucifer chuckled when he saw her before he said, "the first question. are you alright with the fact that your emotions are being manipulated to act like this, we both know without the weird bond you wouldn't even think of something like this"

Ahri's expression softened for a moment before hardening in resolve, "This is the beast gods blessing, we are meant to be together"

Lucifer warned, "don't be so quick to act on your beliefs because they can only become stronger"

While Ahri pondered on what he meant Lucifer Continued questioning, "the second question, why are you moving away from me if you want it to happen".

Ahri looked down and finally noticed she was backing away from Lucifer unconsciously. She strongly replied "just ignore that, it's just a quirk of my people" while she secretly hoped Lucifer would believe her excuse.

Lucifer chuckled and told her "you know, if you're with me you will be sleeping with alot of different men"

Her legs stopped moving and she growled "WE HAVE THE BEAST G--", then she suddenly understood what he meant. He was a dungeon that didn't really have a flesh body, so he frequently switched bodies.

While she was dumbstruck Lucifer grabbed her and slightly triumphantly said "I've caught myself a little fox to play with hehe"

Ahri gave a yelp as she was picked up and a bed was created out of thin air in the lab.

Sometime later.

They were lying on the bed together, Lucifer suddenly remembered something and said, "didn't I say something about giving you a spanking.

The next time Selena saw Ahri she noticed that she was walking funny, Selena raised a brow and asked "just how rough was he exactly"
