Salenia moved with the flow of the crowd away from the gates while planning ahead on how to escape the city, her vision was getting progressively worse as time dragged on causing her to start to become impatient, dozens of plans danced inside her mind but, were all dismissed when they arrived at the part where she ended up dead in them.
A group of children caught her attention as they moved through the crowd with ease of practice, then one of them bumped into a young man who was obviously a merchant judging from his clothing, the man yelled at the foolish child and kicked the small boy before simply walking away, the other children surrounded the boy and helped him up before they walked over to an alley and disappeared from view.
Moments later the merchant came back while frantically looking around with a red face, Selenia watched the entire show transpire and was given a good idea, now with a plan set in her mind she started moving out of the crowd with determined steps and a sliver of surviving this ordeal and perhaps a slightly devious grin.
She entered the stables she bought her mount earlier then pretended to be a poor woman that needed to leave the city to escape an abusive husband, Salenia showed the shopkeeper her "family heirloom" that she wanted to sell for a mount so she could get as far away from her husband as possible, the heirloom in question was simply one of the mana stones Lucifer had given her.
At first, the shopkeeper acted as if the heirloom was not worth much and she could pay off the rest in other ways, however, once Selenia rose her hood slightly he quickly changed his tune at the sight of her burnt skin, she never thought being ugly would be useful before but she was glad for the burns for a moment.
After seeing the burns that still looked fresh even the shopkeeper felt bad for her and "generously" traded the heirloom for a "slightly" old horse, Selenia cursed the man in her mind for being such a perverted cheap bastard before leaving with the horse.

Salenia slowly rode the horse to an abandoned building then dismounted, she walked up to the door and crushed the handle dropping splinters on the ground then opened the door, once inside she entered the buildings small stables from the back and found the wolf she had bought earlier.
The wolf looked up at her expectantly and she obliged by taking some meat out of her storage to feed it, while the wolf ate she looked around the abandoned rooms and saw a bed, she took the dirty sheet that would serve as a blanket and placed it over the wolf to hide its features.
She exited the building with the wolf on a lead and mounted her horse then started to trot towards the southern wall, to the left and right were the gates that people rarely used several hundred meters away, they were lightly guarded in comparison to the other gates because these gates faced a forest that is hard to traverse.
Selenia prepared her mounts then started taking out a small pile of mana stones from her storage, the amount was excessive to have but Lucifer insisted that she has something on her that she can trade with, so she could settle down wherever she wanted and would not have to take up adventuring work for a long time.
Now a small pile of mana stones layered against the wall as she moved into position, Selenia pushed mana into the stone and felt it tremble and continued shoving mana into it.
Meanwhile, in the mansion the mages were scouring the building searching for anyone suspicious, soon they started looking to find anything alive rather than someone suspicious, they had already found the broken wall with the hidden tunnel behind it and saw the nobles dead wife, several people were already searching the end of the tunnel and questioning people outside, but the people of the slums were rather reluctant to help any of the authorities even when threatened.
Suddenly a deafening blast startled the mages that had gathered in the main room, the leader grinned at the sudden commotion that he may be able to do something about rather than pretend to find an assassin that would be long gone, he ordered everyone to gather at the location of the disturbance then activated strengthening magic and jumped from building to building towards the explosion, the other mages used their own spells to follow behind him some flying and others getting on mounts of varying species.

The leader arrived on top of the wall shortly followed by his subordinates, he saw a white wolf with a slumped over figure on its back wearing intricate white armor sprinting towards the southern Forrest, surprise flashed across the leaders moment when he realised the person matched the reports of the last person to meet with the noble and not only that they did not look very healthy judging by the way they rode the mount, he roared that is the assassin we must capture them then started jumping down from the wall followed by the others, he thought in his mind "I heard that the armor this person wore was of a very high grade, enough to be invited by nobility for dinner just for wearing it, if I can get my hands on that armor my battle power would triple no quadruple, I guess this person has to be guilty then haha".
The wolf ran deeper into the Forrest, it was unhindered by the trees or the weight on its back as it had lived in dense woodlands all its life, the Imperial mage leader saw the wolf getting further and further away then shouted "hurry up it's going towards the elven territory, once it entered we will never be able to capture them", then increased his speed himself, those flying above him started to increase their speed and passed by their leader.
The wolf could hear people chasing after it and with freedom, right in front of its face the wolf redoubled its effort to escape, whistles grew louder and the wolf suddenly changed directions going around a tree that it would have just passed by and the ground where it was going to be exploded with sparks flying everywhere, several trees caught alight and the wolf continued its mad dash for freedom.
Several more spells exploded and only left minor flesh wounds on the nimble wolf, but eventually it's luck ran out and a lightning bolt struck its flank, the wolf gave a yelp and fell to the ground dropping its rider as it rolled, the wolf stood up and started to limp away when the mages finally caught up.
The mage leader ignored the wolf and ordered several mages to send lightning attacks to make sure the armored person was disabled or dead, once he was satisfied he had someone check the body, the man that was sent forward used his staff to roll the body over then gave a quick yelp then looked around in embarrassment.
When the body was rolled over it revealed that it was not a body at all, a blanket rolled up and tied to several pieces of armor that gave the illusion that a body filled the armor, someone asked: "Where is the assassin?" the leader walked towards the bundle then answered "right here, along with my new armor, good work killing the assassin" then frowned when he got close enough to see that several pieces of armor were missing, the chest piece, helm and left gauntlet were missing.
Previously, after the explosion Selenia sent the wolf running by itself with a bundle of her armor tied on top of its back, then she dashed back into a building and waited, she spotted the mages arrive through the walls with her mana vision granted by her hood that she kept, after they left she went out the back door and mounted her horse that was waiting in an alley nearby and left before the guards made it to the disturbance, she took one final look behind her to see if she was followed and saw no one, luckily the guards on both gates were ordered to never leave their posts regardless of what happened, so if someone made a disturbance they could not just waltz out the front door, however, no one expected that a person would blow a hole into their thick walls and just waltz out.

The Arcanist Seer
An eye of which sees everything beyond the skies and heavens saw an embodying fate with reek of blood and greed. He who sees the future and yet is restrained by his own shackles of his destiny. An eye that serves a purpose but nothing in exchange for his freedom. Will he remain as a tool of his adversary or escape from his own shackles of fate? This is a story of two old men trying to free from the shackle of their destiny set in a future only to await their impending doom. This is a story of a dead god, and of a storyteller, trying to break from the bonds of the past. And as their stories go, one of them will face the events that unfold in their distant past, as the other one will unveil its mystery predicted by its future. Is it a mistake to challenge fate, after all? *** The world-building is set upon on the universal scale, with dungeon and old-style fantasy. It has a progression that follows with the consistency of a dungeon setting, although it's not what you call a dungeon, but a function of a crystal. There's a lot to take in this novel, but that's all within my intention. I have always enjoyed challenging conventional ideas. The cover is not mine, it's just temporary.

In a new world where society crumbles and laws are merely pretty words on written paper, how will a boy who has been restricted his whole life live now that there is nothing to hold him back? When everything turns into a zero sum game of dog eat dog, they'll find that The Hunter is an all too willing participant, but he will soon find out that he isn't the only player of this game. First story I'm posting and I don't really have a cool synopsis, sorry everyone, but this story is just another LitRPG apocalypse. I guess the only difference is that the main character isn't a hero. He's not here to save the world, he's not here to make friends, and he's definitely not here to save everyone. He's probably what the villains in other similar stories would be actually. Just writing for fun, advice or constructive critism is welcomed, writing style prone to change. Warning: Incredible amounts of poor grammar, Gore, Profanities, Traumatizing content, and cliches(I plan to have multiple main characters, maybe this is too ambitious for my poor skills, but it seems like it would be fun to try, the other MCs won't show up until later on.) The cover image isn't mine I just found it online. It's a piece by Stephanie Frey This takes inspiration from a lot of great stories on here, but I find the beginning to be most similar to Blood Lust by DefinitelyNotJormlung. Starcraft and Warhammer 40k and survival world rpg by S_Conary will also influenced this (at least that's my plan if I ever get that far or finish this) Also please stay with me until chapter 3. I suck at starting stories, but have been told I get better as I'm further along.

It's my approach with a System like story without the system or other front-end applications of one.
