《The fool's paradise (dungeon novel)(complete)》almost forgiven 40

Lucifer frowned at the corpse in his core room, he accused Selenia of being arrogant when he himself was guilty of the same, Lucifer believed that the swarms of ants and their variations along with his vicious traps could stop anyone dead in their tracks, however, the body in front of him told him otherwise, he still had a trick or two up his sleeve but, he now realized that this train of thought was nieve, if they had simply brought more men, better-specialised people for trap dismantling, even a just a single more archmage, or they didn't sabotage each other at every opportunity, he would be unable to keep his fate in his own hands.
This infuriated Lucifer, he roared "I am tired of PEOPLE DECIDING MY FATE" to no one in particular, he grew madder the more he thought about it, then suddenly he remembered something was missing, after checking the surroundings of the core room several times he abruptly became enlightened as to what was bothering him.
All of the leaders have already died... except one...
"WHERE IS THAT FUCKING ROGUE!%#[email protected]"
Lucifer shot his consciousness out of the dungeon mouth along with a surge of mana, he looked down and studied the faces of the surprised mages and soldiers, after not finding the rogue among them a vicious smile formed on his face, all the anger he had towards himself morphed into hatred of this rogue he barely knew.
The exit was blocked yet Lucifer was not willing to waste a second and allow his prey a chance to escape him again, using his utmost concentration he felt the first floor, then when he found it empty of intruders he scanned the 2nd and found the rogue hiding in one of the tall trees well above any of the traps and spiders, Lucifer was quick to act once he located his target, the ant queen received a message to send half the entire nest to the first floor and the other half on the third.

Several minutes passed and new tunnels were dug with lucifers help to allow the ants access to the first and third floor undetected, Lucifer thought for a moment that this was overkill for a single man but immediately reminded himself of his previous arrogance, he was not going to underestimate this slipery rogue again.
Meanwhile, in a treetop the rogue laid on a branch with every muscle relaxed, he remained cautious of his surroundings even when he laid several warning traps around the area earlier, thoughts of different ways to torture Selenia replayed in his head to pass the time.
Nearby rattling was heard which started the rogue, this was the sound of the warning traps being activated, he peered down between the leaves and saw a swarm of ants climbing the tree, cursing his luck he leapt from the branch he was resting on and swung on a vine to another tree before acrobatically climbing onto another tree, only when he was several hundred meters further away did he give a sigh of relief and settled down.
Lucifer watched the man with a gaze that was colder than absolute zero, then he sent another group to the man's new location.
Adrenaline still coursed through his body when he heard a familiar skittering, he had just sat down when he found that this tree was being swarmed too, after relocating for the second time he cursed his luck and sat down with a plop, however, the moment he sat down he saw the familiar sight of a swarm of ants surrounding the trunk.
This time he was sure something was wrong, once was life, twice was bad luck, but three times, he rushed away to create distance to the swarm and found a stream and quickly rinsed himself off, then he took out a small pouch from his backpack and covered himself in the contents, after sneezing several times he traveled several hundred more meters in another direction and hid himself as best he could amongst the canopy.

Lucifer's consciousness floated above the new hiding place as he commanded the ants to the new location, he watched his prey's terrified face as he realized he had been followed, then continued to spy on the man as he became increasingly desperate in his attempt to shake off his pursuers, the man had found that everywhere he went the ants followed as if they had a map that marked his location with a big X that read "here is the idiot".
He found to his horror that the third floor was practically covered in ants severely limiting his space to maneuver, he couldn't even run to the opposite side of the dungeon and rest while they caught up to him, as exhaustion started to settle in he gritted his teeth and decided that it was better to be captured by the mages blocking the outside than being devoured my giant insects.
However, once he arrived at the opening of the dungeon he found that the entire thing was stuffed full of ants to the brim, air would have trouble getting past those armored ones that locked their heads together to form a wall, let alone a human being.
The rogue felt true despair for the first time in his life, the sounds of ants grew closer causing him to shiver uncontrollably, the sound was now a trauma that would haunt him for the rest of his life, suddenly an idea came to him giving him a sliver of hope, he breathed in with all his might and yelled "I know you're a dungeon with a will, I want to pledge servitude to you like the elf girl did, I've seen her in the dungeon working together with its creatures, I can be useful too"
Lucifer infused mana into his voice so the rogue could hear his laughter as response.

The Swarm
Anthony had been looking forward to playing the hottest new virtual reality game. When he put the VR helmet on he was met with a prompt asking him if he wanted to take a test to become a swarm knight. Thinking that this was one of the classes in the game he accepted. Instead of finding himself in the game, Anthony found that he was transported to a different planet. A planet where he would learn the greater truth of the universe. Everything was based on magic in the universe. Except that magic was based on nanorobots, called the swarm, that had been created through highly advanced technology. Genetics determined the access level and the amount of control that someone could wield over the swarm, and therefore their status in this society. Long ago Earth had been cutoff from the swarm. Now that it had been rediscovered, Earth would be reintegrated into the swarm. Unfortunately when that happened all the current technology on Earth would fail and be replaced with the ability to use magic. In effect, it would be the system apocalypse. As someone able to control the swarm, Anthony found himself in the unique position to influence how Earth was reintegrated into the swarm. Perhaps he could change things enough to save most of the people on Earth. But first he would have to learn how to control the swarm and become one of the leaders in the society he found himself in. Warning: If this fiction was a movie I'd rate it somewhere between PG-13 and R for occasional scenes of violence, gore, and nudity.
